@legomailman - It was a shot from Search Out Space - a BBC schools programme that McCoy and Sophie Aldred did in the early 90's. It was the TARDIS flying towards the sun - just the box spinning whilst the background moved. I cut the image out and just moved it around.
@Darren79 I like this sequence a LOT! :) Any thoughts on doing a closing edit version to go with it? It would be neat to see what you could do with that... :D
Agree with other comments; this is truly superb and so much better than what we got in 1986. I remember the disappointment of seeing the old titles with the new theme even now...and while I don't mind the Dominic Glynn theme, what you've done here is even better.
This title sequence is absolutely outstanding! Great music, great effects, and a great transition into the story. It's too bad they didn't think to make this back in 1986.
@dwho19901 - Cheers. It's a photo I got from The Twin Dilemma DVD feature about the Colin Baker opening titles. I cut out the centre to make the outlines that merge together.
The best i've heard! Now it needs the longer closing version of this. x

That was a brilliant reimagining, while still keeping the essence of the original in tact. Awesome stuff.

You've stopped short of probably the best model shot ever used in Doctor Who, coupled with probably the third best ever piece of incidental music!

@dfarmbrough Hear, hear! You should've included the model sequence. It was fantastic!

Where did you get the tardis animation. I know it's from a Mccoy episode but how you get it into this animation.
