oright get ready for the dumbass question... how is this guitar for blues (chuck berry etc...) or more rock like music (jimi hendrix etc)... because i am a fan of slipknot but at the same time i like jimi hendrix equally as much...
@MyMrJuicy Not a stupid question. I happen to be a fan of Hendrix myself. I personally think it's not the best for blues and rock, but I mean, you have the EMG 60, which have a warm and rich sound to it. So it will work. For clean sounds I prefer Strats:)
@raverguitar These are EMG's, but this is a very bad recording, and settings on the amp, as well. You should hear it in one of the songs we have recorded:)
where did you find the differenet pick guard because I have the white jim root tele. but I want to get a different black pickguard for it than the stock one
Er du fra Norge? Jeg leter etter denne gitaren, svart eller hvit farge har ingenting å si. Men det jeg lurer på er, hvor fikk du tak i den? kjøpte du den på nettet eller kjøpte du den på en musikk butikk?
@m4ssee I don't remember the exact settings, but a I think I used a lot of mid's, maybe 3-4' o clock. bass and treble 12'o clock. Distortion at 2'o clock.
@petrus250 or even buy a good one. seriously. what is it about people jerking off about their equipment? Active/passive, fender/gibson. would you all come down and remember that it's about the music and not the gear? Some people become internationally reknown but still use a 200$ guitar others stay in their cellar owning one for 3000$. Of course one can improve the sound, but the songwriting is first. what do I see in the vid? Mediocre sound and shredding. Sorry I'm rude, but i hate such things.
@WeltenbrandBM Or even buy a good one? What the fuck are you talking about. This guitar is cheap and awesome, there's no way I'm jerking off about my equipment (that's what she said)
@petrus250 that's called irony... google it... it's fun! I was reacting to your rude comment to m4ssee stating that "you first need a guitar equipped with EMGs" (by the way - this is indirectly pissing someone off, because you think it makes a guitar better if it has this and that gimmick), because i think such things do not matter at all and defining ones sound by listing equipment is simply wrong. You could buy every Jim Root signature thing in the world and still will not play as he does.
@WeltenbrandBM He was asking about, "how to get that sound" And if you wanna get "that sound", one of the main things you need is EMG's. And yes, you can define someones "sound" by their gear, unless your talking about their playing style, which is something entirely different.
@petrus250 you can NOT describe sound by gear, because the one creating the sound is the player. of course you need some box and stuff, but still things can have a good sound working on a considerably bad gear. It is about what you put into the frets, not if the frets are made of diamond
@WeltenbrandBM so where does the sound come from? the players hands? No, it comes from the speaker, which is connected to a microphone in your guitar...oh, and irony doesn't work on the internet..google it.
Get some bass and mids, man.

Great playing. I was wondering what scales you were using here in this video.

@MesaGibson99 sounds like Harmonic Minor and Natural Minor and some Phrygian Mode here and there, very Yngwie Malmsteen sounding. =]

@m4ssee Digitech Hardwire metal and a digidelay trough a epiphone blues custom tube amp, with a little bit of reverb from the amp.
