@bevonwithyuri The best monument they will get is praise from people who hear the story and are moved to write about it. I think that way reaches more people then a plaque under a slab of marble.

It doesn't matter if someone likes the song or wants to know about story contained in it .The story inspired the song but it can be appreciated on it's own terms without feeling they have get weighed down by the message. Bob Dylan's song 'The Hurricane' is both a protest song and can be taken as something that is an interesting tune to some or important statement to others .
