Well, the suicide machines' album was released around 6 months before Hybrid Theory from Linkin Park. I don't think they would mock a band that wasn't yet known.

And most punk and ska bands did crazy songs like that in the 90s. For example, The offspring made "Cool to hate" which is really the same kinda song.
