  • @riskyrook You can always look on Petfinder for a dog in your area

  • Pepper says: Who cares if I'm not a Lab or Golden, I love water too especially on a hot warm day. It feels soo good !!! ;-)

  • If I was that dog, I'd guard that pool with my life. I would't let anyone near it ! 8)

  • Lol, funny and cute pup. Each are like us, they are never the same, from one to another.

  • Lovely! My red girl does this :)

  • my cattle dog loves the h20. She will swim after me when im surfing and chase me.

  • Pepper is too cute! Our cattle dog does this in the kiddie pool too. Our border collie rolls over and over in the water and dunks her head underwater. Crazy dogs :)

  • This is one happy dog!! Lucky her!

  • my cattle dog passed away over a year ago and i still miss her badly-she was my best frend and did everything with me.trying to talk my wife in to getting another but no luck-she loved "patch" as much as i did but does not want the work or the pain of losing another pet..

  • Crazy cattle dog! My two buddies love their little pool, too.

  • My heeler LOVES all water except in the form of a bath. You have to con her into it, and even so she's horrified the entire time and refuses to move.

  • My red heeler does the same thing! well duh... all heelers do. XD

  • My red heeler does the same thing! well duh... all heelers do. XD

  • My red heeler does the same thing! well duh... all heelers do. XD

  • i was not expecting this its hilarious!

  • nice dog, cattle doggs are very intelligent

  • Beautiful dog and beautiful farm. Your ACD looks just like ours.

  • So beautiful!! My red cattle dog LOVES her little wading pool also but she won't lie down and put her tummy in the water. She'll only stand in it and put her head right under :0)

  • lol my akita / red heeler and my rotweiler / chihuaha / daschund are afradi of there little pool. haha if there not scared of it they'll only drink the water!! XD lol.

  • Whoa Akita red heels... man what a combo.. I had one akita and one red heal mix, they love each other... I always joked they sould be one dog... ha ha now I see you got him.

  • AstromiteKelsey, Hey, come on!! You can't say you have a mix like "rotweiler / chihuaha / daschund" and not show a picture! I am dying to see it!

  • How sweet! I bought my heeler a baby pool, yet he chose to eat a hole through it from being so excited to have a pool. LOL Then again, he destroys anything in sight!

  • :-)

  • que fofo!!!!

  • omg cuute (:

i love how he runs and rolls against the ground!

  • Looks like he needs a deeper pool.

  • I had a border collie named Pepper! He was cute and loved water too.

  • lol yours does the little kitty cat hopping too!

  • Very cute video!!!

  • i think all the heelers loves water.

Mine love to chase it when i water the plants, and he is NOT happy until he is ALL wet! haha

i want to buy him a little pool like yours.

    regards!

  • I have a blue heeler and she has an aversion to water - but she's a rescue dog & may not have been acclimated to water when she was a puppy.

The only time she has fully gone into the water was when another dog was retrieving a stick from the lake... but she swam in to get it instead!!! Hilarious, how competition can motivate a heeler to overcome its fear!!! Hahaha...

  • my acd angel wouldnt even touch a drop of water to save me :(

    shes hates water, always has.

  • cute dog must have been very hot

  • my dog is just like that, hes blue heeler cross with a doberman though, so he has a shorter coat and hes balck

  • haha my two cattle pups love their pool as well they wrestle in it

  • That pool is a great idea. I have two RHACD and they love to get in the pond and destroy it and smash the goldfish. Good idea, a private pool.

  • my blue heeler does the exact same thing!!!

  • So CUTE! My red heeler pup does that n he tries to eat the water n run in circles n then jst dives in the water so the verada at the same time!

  • same here

  • Sorry I just realized lovely Pepper is a girl!

  • That's OK. She's kind of butch... :->

  • Hahaha :-) SO pretty!!!

  • @whiteoakfarm my blue heeler's name is peepper

  • what a good boy!!!! hahaha!

  • Sooooo cute!

  • my dog does the same thing in the creek

  • going to get my blue heeler pup here in 2 hours!!! sooo excited! ill post a video today or tomorrow...tell me what you all think!

  • noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful, could have watched this for an hour and still been laughing, what a happy dog. Another thing to get on list for mine. she would fit in a washing up bowl right now! H

  • Well, I got my little guy a pool this year and he couldn't care less. :-(

He swims at the beach. He'll swim out quite a ways after a ball. But he just never got too excited about the pool.

I use the pool as a Chuckit! target and when the ball goes in, Dingo jumps in & wades around for a bit, but that's about it.

And we've had plenty of 100+ days this summer.

  • Haha that was very funny. I just love ACDs, mine bites the water and then snaps at the splashes. And he rolls exactly in the grass after going into the water like yours does. Btw mine doesnt like swimming very much, he will only come if I go underwater to 'rescue' me. Do the other ACDs have that aswell?

  • My heeler does the exact same thing! I thought he was just nuts swimming in the pool like that. Must be an ACD thing...

  • When we had Bandit, 'took him in the fishin boat (about 16 yrs old - he lived to be over 18) those pesky waves were sneaking up on us, and the wake got a few good bites. He got fa few good head dunks too! amazing how 1 dog in the boat means no fish either! must've barked at the wake for an hour or more... too funny

  • Reminds me of my ACD! She snorkles, blows bubbles, and dunks her head in and grabs toys that sink to the bottom lol. It's so cute! I'll have to make a video of it!

  • ha ha ha!! to funny!

  • My heeler has to be carried in someone's arms to the bath tub. You'd never catch him in a pool.

  • LOL!

  • my friends heeler is short n fat, it brings u rocks 2 throw, and they had 2 move it outside cuz it had gas all the time that could clear a room :s really fun dog tho, quirky

  • They really are a handful unless occupied. About the gas though, Pepper burps. I honestly have never known her to pass gas the "other" way. Saves wear and tear on the other end, and evidently it keeps you from getting kicked out of the house!

  • you are very lucky... i envy you

maybe i shouldn't feed mine eggs...

  • @whiteoakfarm Haha yeah acd's constantly want to please you so they will do anything to get your attention. My friend had one that would not only bring her rocks but stick, leaves, mouths full of dirt. The dog was just trying to be helpful haha too bad she was doing the opposite.

  • @lejink mine is short too, the runt and hes absolutely addicted to fetch, rocks especially

  • lol,cute! :)

    Xx..

  • I like the way an ACD rolls in a dead sheep carcass, or in cow poo...

and then comes in the house...

    My mum screams !!!

  • My Heeler is better in the water than a lab ! Your dog is awesome looking .

  • That is SO cute! My ACDiva, Sydney, can't get enough of the water now, but she didn't start swimming in deep water until she was 4 years old. She seems to reinvent herself all the time! Thanks for sharing Pepper's video! :-)

  • My ACD despises the water. :(

Probably because she slipped into our pool when she was little.

  • I can NOT keep her out of pools, troughs, and buckets. She just rolls in mud puddles, though--not deep enough to dive underwater!

  • @SmashMan140 growing up we had a male blue heeler that wouldn't go near water either.

  • @SmashMan140 Mine too. He's gone now, but he hated water. He would put his mouth over my arm when I would wrestle him into the tub for a bath. I knew he wouldn't bite me, he was too good a boy, but he sure wanted me to think he would. The only time I saw him voluntarily get wet was imitating a black lab we were fostering. He watched her bark at sprinklers and then attack them, and decided that must be fun. He gave it a try and found it over rated. She left and he never got wet again.

  • that is the cutest thing!!!

  • ok...waaay too cute...I bought a plastic pool for her and she's like...you're freaking me out..make it go away

  • Great video. What a pretty girl!

Our blue boy Dingo does the head in the grass thing after an outdoor bath. Indoors it's anything goes! :-)

He loves the beach and will be getting a pool in the yard this summer.

  • When I went to pick her up as a pup she jumped in (and under the water) in a horse trough, zipped out and splashed into my lap! I should have seen it coming... A baby pool is a must, the sturdier the better. Enjoy your baby boy. I'd love to see him.

  • how cute!! she's beautiful. it's amazing the "games" dogs come up with.. my cocker spaniel has some funny ones of his own.. they're almost like little rituals!

if that is your land we see in that video then i am VERY, very jealous!! i would love to have a lot of land like that just so that i could have lots of dogs :)

  • haha i had birds that used to do this

  • AAAh yes,the days of summer are here again!

  • Our ACD Roscoe, a docked blue heeler has learned to both body surf and surf on a surfboar. He thoroghly enjoys both

  • LOL!! looks like he's enjoying it!

  • She's a cutie! They say if you don't give a cattle dog a job, she'll invent her own. Glad to see Pepper came up with an entertaining and non-destructive job. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wow, a comment from the famous billroch. <oh we are not worthy...> ANOTHER SMART CATTLE DOG is my favorite ACD vid, it's the best. It successfully captures the breed's quiet, no nonsense intelligence. Most of the other videos are of them acting in that hectic, spazzy way, "Dammit, there's a job to do in here somewhere! Must find, must find..." Wolf's attitude is so business-like, "Yes Bill, what is it I can do for you today?"

  • Ha Ha!, That's exactly what Bruce does when he finds a mudpool to play in! He then dries himself in the long grass, just like Pepper. Great!

  • Bruce is the bomb!

  • that is excellent
