  • Haha it's because beggars use pitiful, sad voices first to attract a gold coin or two. Then when you give them the coin they use their real, healthy voice.

  • its amazing how shittastic these graphics look now compared to when it came out

  • @laxfan727 I remember seeing the Emperor the first time I played the game and cringed. No way was I going to allow Patrick Stewart's avatar to look like that, so I had to download one of the many skin packs that were already out within months of the game's release.

  • oh oblivion, how i used to love you.....but now skyrim is out and now i realize, in comparison, you suck... >:p

  • @Caspianm2 Nope.... You're still an annoying fuck

  • I used to be an annoying fuck, but then I took a puberty to the knee..

  • @Caspianm2 i doubt you have hit puberty

  • Wes Johnson is the one to blame.

  • Yo, when his voice changes his eyes move from side to side ha!

  • Im pretty sure this was intentional by the developers. There supposed to be faking the whole beggar persona.

  • You Can't quick load while the game is paused

  • man, he hit puberty fast

  • Haha this happened to me quite a bit when i played Oblivion. The beggars did it the most.

  • Its not that surprising if you played the game you will know that all beggers do that

  • You have contracted puberty. -1 Charisma, -1 Luck

  • LMFAO xD

  • thumbs up if you think the way male empirial beggars say "thank you kind sir" is funny sounding

  • god I love when this happens

  • its always like that with beggars

  • I'd give them more coins if they talked like that all the time : /

  • Hope this happens to beiber during one of his shows

  • Yup the beggers will talk like that.

  • I feel bad for Foul Fagus. He probably is only homeless because nobody wanted to hire him because of his name.

  • wtf that's been patched but yeah its weird :/

  • There is an ingame reason for this:

The beggars act stupid when in reality they are just as well spoken as anyone else. When you first ask about the Gray Fox for example they say "Spare a coin for the infirm?" in an Oliver Twist-like voice, then if you ask about the gray fox they quiet down and ask in a normal voice: "Are you looking for him?" If you say "yes I wold like to see him arrested." they will revert back to thier fake voice and say "He's a fairy tale" in order to protect the guild.

  • Justin beiber should do this

  • Did anyone notice that his mouth changed? -First one: "(==)". Second one: "(=)", the first one was wider than the second one.

  • @AssistantNick i noticed it

  • LOL I met this guy too. XD

  • A lot of the beggar's voice change, one moment they sound like English drunkards and the next, normal people.

  • @Smoit04 i get that if i give them a coin and let them say the thnx, then clicked on rumors and it gives a wtf voice change. after that i kill them to get the coin back. i hate wasting money in oblivion :3

  • @Smoit04 When you do rumors that happens. They just probably didn't have time to do the dialogue in a different voice.

  • the amazing chaging voice beggars XDD (is a common Oblivion bug)

  • HAHAHA, i had shit like this happen to me too. A good example is when you talk to an old homeless woman. She might at first have a fair-maiden's voice, but then switches to old hag everytime you give her a coin.

  • this game is fucking terrible play morrowind

  • @altdoom615 Oh so that is why millions of man hours have been lost to this game...

  • @Mattysmyth0593 millions of nub hours :D

  • He just wanted to have fun.

  • new oblivion game next year woooo

  • @TigerTaint you mean new Elder Scrolls game.

  • Oblivion needs to be revised; it has so many glitches.

  • @Scortaber I presume you have never heard of Mods...

  • @triforce564 wtf dude

  • this happens alot, primarly bc of the fact that there's only like 10 something voice actors for the entire game. alot of the recordings are recycled hundreds of times, and it's also the reason why the characters never have much to say (mostly only a 'rumors' option). you see this in the beggars all the time.

  • The way that I like to think of why their voices change is due to them being expert con artists. Lure you in with a poor-man's despair voice, then give you information with their real voice. Kind of like a "Don't tell anyone I'm just acting poor." Nevertheless, it is still very funny to hear the voice changes.

  • i heard that happen to a begger in bruma. he had a manly voice, then when i gave him money he was all -high pitched voice- "thank you kind lady!"

  • Man this game is funny!

  • his puberty skill has increased he should rest and meditate on what he has learned

  • "meditate"

  • @TheRavager777 Rest and masturbate

  • @TheRavager777 LOL!!!

  • @TheRavager777 meditate you say?

  • wierd xD

  • Yeah, I noticed this too. It sounds really weird. . .

  • I've heard that voice change many times with both male and female beggars.

  • "He was bragging about stealing something from the castle"

And then he looks like he is going to say...

    "Stop right there criminal scum!"

  • His balls dropped.

  • wow. bethesda i know you worked hard on this game, but you cant miss the little things. im tired of every imperial or nord having the same opinion aboutthe prophet. "he preaches in anvil" all over again lol. even martin septim, jauffre everyone! with a DEEP voice,.

  • You should know that the voice recordings filled over half of the game DVD. So, if they were to fill everything, just imagine..

  • hahaha!

  • the beggars are supposed to switch between their normal and sick voices whenever you pay them for info

  • @APSX3427Dude AND i can understand why... sneaky bestards acting sick than being all normal and all... They are faking it on purpose i don't know if alot of people noticed this but alot of people complained about this!

  • ahahahahahaha another freaking talking glitch xP

  • lol

  • hahah

  • lol xD

  • rofl
