@xiiProdigyx java isnt tricky, just go to oracle and download the jdk, google jdk, then you download netbeans from the netbeans website, or eclipse but thats a thorny subject lol. then you make a project and look at some tutorials. gl!

@MrZombiewrath make sure every letter he has capitalized is capped. i had the same problem and just figured it out so i thought id share it with you :)

@MrZombiewrath jump is defined in one of the settings menus in unity, not sure where to find it but unity has a whole load of keys that are mapped to variables as it where, like in a game when you set space to jump or shift to crouch etc. there is a menu somewhere, go google! gl!

@thaDaniroy Go to File >Build Setting> Under "Platform" choose Wii. I think thats what you want. Although I am using the free version of Unity so when I try to change the platform to PS3 XBOX or Wii I get a message that says "Your licence does not cover Wii Publishing."

I see a lot of people asking about the grid, and the way to get it is to look at the little bar just above the scene view. There will be some toggle options. One will be a little sun, which toggles natural light, another is a little speaker icon that apparently does something with the sound, and the one in between looks like a little landscape picture. This toggles the grid. Click it. The end.

1. Unity uses a different coding language called Unity-Script which is very much like JS, but slightly different. I don't know if you can transfer your knowledge of JS over to Unity because I use C#. But to answer your question, yes. If you want to make a good game, you need to learn some coding. The three languages Unity gives you to write in are C#, Unity Java Script (Unity-Script), and Boo. I'd suggest UJS or C# but its really up to personal preference.

@SchutKid You should be able to double click it. You can check to see if your preferences are set up properly. You can choose the program that Unity uses to edit a script in the preferences. If you're on a Mac, you can go to the Unity menu -> Preferences to open them. If you're on windows, I think it's under Edit -> Preferences.
