@motodrummer from what I've seen the birch & maple Sonor kits r the best value on the market, the 2007 & 3007, 9 plies of pure maple or pure birch and a finish that f'ing kills !! I bought a Yamaha Rec. Custom back in the late 90's for about $2200 (8 piece, magnificent trans-emerald finish) and to see kits that cost 1/6 of that these days ? jeez !! this kit can be had for $650-750 on Ebay, from the big Sonor distributors, in lustrous lacquer finishes, pick out your own shells, no-brainer !!!

@johno9921XC hey man most midlevel drum kits are about the same fro all companies i would get the best bang for the buck like more toms or hardware depending oon your needs, i like the pearl vsx's and vbx's probaly the best because they come stock with 2 ply heads and are easy to tune and the quality is great for the money check out the vbx demo i posted this kit was 659 at sam ash 6 pc!!!

@XxStrongDrums1996xX haha good joke. it may be mid level for pearl but compared to every other drum company its low level. If what youre saying is true... then why is my 8 year old Sonor is STILL better than the new Vision? My Sonor was midlevel in 2003. The Vision is "midlevel" now.

@MangoSmoothie16 I didn't say that the Pearl vision series is better, I simply said that is it a mid-level set. Think what you want, but I'm not a big fan of Sonor.  I'd take a VBL/VBX over this any day.
