There is not much room for the verbal gymnastics and acrobatics he is engaging in. Please listen to Pt. DV Paluskars version and you know the difference..
Initial part sounds like Pilu to my ears. But then when he starts with the bhajan, some part sounds like Dwijavanthi (close resemblance to the way Lataji sings it)

This song is in a Hindustani raga called Jaijaivanti. In Carnatic, it is called Dwijavanti (Jaijaivanti = 2 jaivanti = Dwi-javanti).
Arguably, Peelu, Mishra Peelu, Kapi, etc. sound similar to this.
