I remember singing this when I was a private with my whole platoon, at a Hooters restaurant before being deployed to Afghanistan back in 2005. Combat Engineer has got to be the best MOS out there. I loved it.

I spent one week training with a Sapper Company 11 years ago, and that was one of the best weeks of my life. I learned so much, and whenever the opportunity arose, the platoon sergeant would have us singing this song. I loved it. Essayons!

I am a 12B, Combat Engineer for over six years now. I am on the trail now for six months. We are the only Combat Engineer company that teaches our soldiers the Engineer Drinking Song, I have never heard it recorded before, only what we sing. We try to instill the traditions of the Engineers in them with this song and teach them what its like to embellish that past. You guys are awesome for posting this. I thank you for showing some of us that our heritage hasnt been totally forgotten!
