Po wydaniu przez Napoleona rozkazu zdobycia Somosierry gen. Montbrun zameldował Cesarzowi, że szarża wprost na armaty nie jest możliwa. Wtedy Napoleon Wypowiedział słowa: Zostawcie to Polakom! Polscy szwoleżerowie zdobyli Somosierrę.
Following the orders of Napoleon, General Montbrun Somosierry get reported to Caesar that charge straight at the cannon is not possible. Napoleon then spoke the words: Leave it to the Poles! Polish regiment captured Somosierra.
Bernadotte became the King of Sweden. Thats why the King today is French. Im proud to live in Sweden and my have roots from France. Both countries tried to conquer the land.(Sweden, The Great Northen war against Russa, Denmark, Prussia, Polen. France against Europe!) Like if you are proud of your country and what they have done !

Bernadotte for the WIN! Napoleon send him to Sweden to be king and then use the well trained Swedish army to attack Russia. What a fail. Bernadotte became king, and invaded Norway and attacked Denmark together with the UK and Prussia, joined up with Russia and just like that Napoleon was all alone.
Bernadotte helped Sweden out of the dark days. Thank you Napoleon!
@TheRussianScientist Well certainly I am not arguing that Davout should be on top, but perhaps Lannes was even more special to Napoleon himself. They are both regularly regarded as his finest marshals.
@TheRussianScientist Ah, so because he died he can not take the top of the list. Well that's understandable. But while he was alive, he remained completely faithful.
@semtex970 i looked that up. hows abot an english version my friend, patton was the most badass and hardass generals in ww2. you are fool if you dont think so. plan and simple. do your research on him before you start talking about other generals. He is far better than Monte. if his race across france a sicily didnt proove it. which in many ways it did. so how you sit their and say patton arived praticly when everthing was done when he was their when it 1st began?
@semtex970 he arrived way before everything was even being close to done. ever here of D-day? sicily? he helped plan the invasion of sicily then lead his troops and beat old Monte. Dont under estimate Patton my friend. do a little research and you will see he deffinantly deserves to be in the top 5 generals of all time
@germanrifle Excatly, different times, different legends. If we don't take time into account then there would also Caesar and Genghis Khan to consider :P
Notice the cuts where the French columns are shown -- There is a fictional series of books on the Napoleonic period wars and in one of them (I cannot remember which) there is an excellent description of what it was like to wait in a firing line as the French columns approached. It provided a perfect feeling of what it must have been like. It is in one of the Sharpe's books by Cornwell
@InvictusAeternum no patton was just a better general and wasnt a tryrant nepoleon. Patton studied that french bastard and learned from his mistakes. (patton loved history)
yeah, patton wouln't have been able to rule a country...
Paton was an US general, US had already a huge material and numerical advantage over Germany to begin with, not t mention th other allies. Napoleon commanded the french troops, was often outnumbered and had several coalitions thrown against him, yet he won many times.
Anyway the warfare were pretty different so saying patton was better than Napoleon without any proof just mak you look like a blind fanboy.
that's hardly a proof. If someone won 1 battle and then retired/ died/whatever, that person would be undefeated too. Plus patton fought after Napoleon and could benefit from his experience. And he had much better ods to begin with. Half the world vs the Axis.
Napoleon had france vs europe.
That doesn't mean Patton was better than Napoleon.
Unles you're a blind fanboy and like to yell USA USA number 1 every day
There never seems to be a video that completely satisfies this song because of the lines "I'll win but never fight". I was trying to think of what movies would show this sort of thing.

you know....napoleon was not actually a small guy
he was actually an average size !
and people were not much smaller before than now.Actually most people used to have shorted beds before
and in some areas ...like 17.18,19 ct they thought having a small bed is good for your health ...because....they were idiots
