His capture attack is the Spirit Lock (at least that's what I think it's called it's been a year since Apollo)
But I still wonder what could be his launcher attack. Maybe an assist from Maya xD

He's been frightened a lot of other times. He also clings to Edgeworth when She-Hulk breaks the desk in her ending. He has every reason to be stumbling around in fear, really.
ONly one thing I have found wrong in this video. Phoenix is not a steel samurai fan. Maya is and Maya forces him to watch every single episode movie and spinoff ever which is why he is knowledgeable.

Two things you got wrong... The door to the room in JFA looks more like wood and makes noises a wooden door would make. And also, Phoenix never objects during the psyche locks, he only says 'TAKE THAT'
I must admit, I was one of those people who said "He wouldn't work" but after seeing this video you've really convinced me on the idea. I am interested to see what he's gonna do. I did have the idea he could use "The Thinker" from the first PW game and it reads the current time as you're using it!
Since he's in the UMvC3, I would love to see an level 3 super where his opponent appears in a court room and Pheonix is like Objection, and when the Judge says guilty and lays the hammer down, BAM, KO'd
You did a really great job with this video. It was well written and very funny. (good reference to the very feminine yet buff french-man).
You also did a great job pulling from the series with the nightmare super. (though it is worth noting that there are only two kinds of supers: level 1's and level 3's). I can't wait to see what the UMVC3 team decides for the super but I bet they have a ton of really obscure and creative ideas that they've pulled together. The same way the internet has.
I like the fact that Phoenix Wright will be a playable character since I love the series, but something about him jumping around doing combos just seems like a very strange picture. I'm not saying he can't fight since for all we know he can, but either way it just seems weird.

All there are in mvc3 are a bunch of robots, mutants, demons, fighters, and zombie fighters but there isnt much people in it that have brains. If you think about it, they arnt very smart with some exceptions. Pheonix Wright is destined for this series!
he can point, say objection, and the letters can attack. he can jump into the air while a desk spawns, and slam it onto the opponent. he can call Detective Gumshoe to attack.
I have a better idea for a super. You know how Phoenix can turnabout the situation he gets in? How about as a level 3, he glows and gains improvement in power and defense which lasts for 25 seconds
Yeah, Wright is pretty badass. Phoenix Wright for MvC3!! As for the moveset, I recommend the Shichishito, Gramarye staff, and Elise's staff (which is also a blade). And I REALLY like the hypers!

Hey, if they can give Frank west a moveset, and give a little girl a Mop and a bucket of water and call that a character, than I think they can give phoenix wright a moveset.
That's because many of Frank's moves are based off of the things you can do in Dead Rising. If you had actually watched gameplay or done research on Frank, you would know that he could give Mike Haggar a run for his money or even Chris Redfield (Frank has defeated a military Black Ops commander named Brock as the last boss of Dead Rising). Do not dismiss Frank so easily!

It's like when they replaced Mega Man with Zero: Mega Man would have to have so much more extra moves and abilities added to his fighting style that he would be a different character entirely, so they chose Zero because he had a variety of abilities already. With PW, they'd have to add so much more to him that he wouldn't be PW (having PW fight is out of character already); with Franziska, they'd simply take moves they would've given to PW and add a whip.
She doesn't do anything Phoenix does though, other than object, that's the thing. He would have a comical moveset, whereas she's a deadly serious character. Her moveset would be extremely limited imo

The moveset you presented, other than the supers (which I like), is mostly out of character:Giving PW Steel Samurai moves would require giving PW a Samurai Spear or similar weapon, which isn't very PWish; giving PW a bunch of assist specials doesn't add anything to PW's fighting style (and would require more model work); Ladders aren't important to PW's character; etc. So without all that, all PW can do is point and object, which FvK can do herself
I wasn't posting whole movesets, just showing how he could fit in. There's so much more from the games that Phoenix could have that Franziska doesn't do, and all Franziska does is point, object and whip, while Phoenix can utitlise all the evidence he's used in cases, mimic the Steel Samurai, call in all his friends, he could have an attack involving him getting hit by a car, he could have Psyche Locks, he has his door barge etc.

Using/throwing evidence would make him to similar to Arthur, mimicking the Steel Samurai would make him not-true-to-character, having his own assists would be redundant, getting hit by a car is too similar to She-Hulk's level 3, door barge is too similar to Cap's Charging Star... But Psyche Locks could work, although all I can think of with this is Tron's Servbot hold special.

Phoenix can deal mental damage to his opponents too! If you remember in all his cases, he pushed and pushed the suspects(murderers) until he got the truth. Mental damage/badgering :D

The only weapon that Phoenix has that gives him a level of superhero quality is his Magatama.
He could use that to have superhuman powers like spirit summoning, energy blasting, psycho locking, etc.

I like the fact that Phoenix Wright will be a playable character since I love the series, but something about him jumping around doing combos just seems like a very strange picture. I'm not saying he can't fight since for all we know he can, but either way it just seems weird.

Ok, but they aren't DLC. Therefore Phoenix Wright wasn't confirmed as DLC, because he isn't DLC. He's a playable character in UMvC3.

All there are in mvc3 are a bunch of robots, mutants, demons, fighters, and zombie fighters but there isnt much people in it that have brains. If you think about it, they arnt very smart with some exceptions. Pheonix Wright is destined for this series!

he can point, say objection, and the letters can attack. he can jump into the air while a desk spawns, and slam it onto the opponent. he can call Detective Gumshoe to attack.

Yeah, Wright is pretty badass. Phoenix Wright for MvC3!! As for the moveset, I recommend the Shichishito, Gramarye staff, and Elise's staff (which is also a blade). And I REALLY like the hypers!

Phoenix wright got Launched 30ft in the air by getting hit by a car, Only to stop by slamming his head in a pole and fell.
He then went to the hospital, because HE HAD A SPRAINT ANKLE, Phoenix isnt NORMAL

That's because many of Frank's moves are based off of the things you can do in Dead Rising. If you had actually watched gameplay or done research on Frank, you would know that he could give Mike Haggar a run for his money or even Chris Redfield (Frank has defeated a military Black Ops commander named Brock as the last boss of Dead Rising). Do not dismiss Frank so easily!

@TheMarioBones You know, i have never played the Ace Attorney Games featuring Phoenix Wright(let alone any Ace Attorney game at all) and i thought Phoenix Wright would be kinda out of balance. but this video has changed my mind. I mean, If Roll([EFF!]ing Roll can beat Onslaught, Yami, and Abyss, then Phoenix Wright probably can beat them too. plus, I never knew he had experience in fighting, and he most likely has above-average human statistics. Thank you TheMarioBones for enlightening me :)

Hmm, interesting, initially I was against Phoenix, then for the longest time I took the stance of ; "Capcom is creative, as long as they can make moves, it'll be fine." Now this video convinced me. I can see him being a mix of Norimaru and Jill and who knows what else heh. Nice video man. Keep up the good work.

Although I wouldn't mind seeing Phoenix Wright as DLC, I would rather see Francesca von Karma in as the Ace Attorney rep. She'd basically play as Phoenix Wright with a whip.

It's like when they replaced Mega Man with Zero: Mega Man would have to have so much more extra moves and abilities added to his fighting style that he would be a different character entirely, so they chose Zero because he had a variety of abilities already. With PW, they'd have to add so much more to him that he wouldn't be PW (having PW fight is out of character already); with Franziska, they'd simply take moves they would've given to PW and add a whip.

The moveset you presented, other than the supers (which I like), is mostly out of character:Giving PW Steel Samurai moves would require giving PW a Samurai Spear or similar weapon, which isn't very PWish; giving PW a bunch of assist specials doesn't add anything to PW's fighting style (and would require more model work); Ladders aren't important to PW's character; etc. So without all that, all PW can do is point and object, which FvK can do herself

I wasn't posting whole movesets, just showing how he could fit in. There's so much more from the games that Phoenix could have that Franziska doesn't do, and all Franziska does is point, object and whip, while Phoenix can utitlise all the evidence he's used in cases, mimic the Steel Samurai, call in all his friends, he could have an attack involving him getting hit by a car, he could have Psyche Locks, he has his door barge etc.

Using/throwing evidence would make him to similar to Arthur, mimicking the Steel Samurai would make him not-true-to-character, having his own assists would be redundant, getting hit by a car is too similar to She-Hulk's level 3, door barge is too similar to Cap's Charging Star... But Psyche Locks could work, although all I can think of with this is Tron's Servbot hold special.

Even if Phoenix is a "lawyer" in his games, that only describes his PROFESSIONAL life.
There is NO valid argument to suggest he cannot fight, because there is no evidence to show what he does with his personal time outside the courtroom.

I laugh when fans argue Phoenix Wright should not be in it because they say he cannot beat powerful Marvel characters, like the Hulk.
Well I'm pretty sure Hulk could beat up 90% of those characters ALREADY in the game, INCLUDING those on the Marvel side.
So according to their contradictory logic, if Phoenix Wright should not be in it, then most of the confirmed characters would need to be taken out as well. >_>

he CANT be in the game cuz She-Hulk is in it. there is room for only one ace lawyer in that game and it is She-Hulk. Phoenix cant beat her in a fight AND he cant beat her in the courtroom. he is way outclassed in this matter every which way.

Phoenix can deal mental damage to his opponents too! If you remember in all his cases, he pushed and pushed the suspects(murderers) until he got the truth. Mental damage/badgering :D
