I went looking for these books in some of my local stores and found them under the English title "Descendants of Darkness." I didn't get a chance to do more than flip through some of them. The volumes went up to 11! Is this an ongoing manga or has it finished? And does the homoerotic content get any more...explicit than what is shown here?

No more explicit - all implied. manga is up to book 11 - but not complete. The mangaka took a break from it... for like a decade!! >.< but apparently she has just recently resumed it and so hopefully it will be continued very soon. It is a manga I thoroughly recommend. and if you havent seen the anime... watch that too!

I'm also not certain I want to get involved in a manga that was interrupted for ten years! I don't have that kind of money or time to invest in this.
