  • BEST DOCUMENTARY EVER!!!

  • awesome talk guys. Social kapatilism is the key. There is no idea in trying to sell anything too people that cant afford anything. Keep everyone happy by sharing actually works. Check the scandinavian model. You know, how much does a man actually need? American system is arrogant and do not have love for people.

Regards from the man considered to be completely kapatilist/ liberal in Denmark that has no poverty, almost no crime, no

    corruption, free education for

    all, free healthcare an

  • Am guessing perhaps if you look at what fox news does-and u r against fox news-why don't you be righteous and instead of slandering people and the perverbial name calling that is disengenuous to your viewpoint, don't you understand that slinging mud shows your view to be false? So what the fuck is some slant eyed Japanese or North Korean, or Chinese-going to teach this tea bagger the truth? Your not white, your not American, your not Christian-so shut the fuck up!

  • These inhuman creatures are raised bad victims of there elite position and the evil of there education to serve a life time of greed and inhuman abuses of there fellow man;the body can except a small number of warts but when the body is consumed by warts your left with a husk, In the world of business the only good is what is sellable. The only liberties your allowed are the liberties that are profitable. You cant scare a chicken into producing more eggs but you can scare a man into giving you his

  • Tea bagger....haha I would let Sarah Palin tea bag me...

  • All these crooks work for the Vatican City to fill there vaults with all the wealth and gold they pillage and loot from every country on this planet. They just destroy, conquer, cover it up and repeat....

  • What is this gook talking about? "its code for racism" who said that again? you ya dumbass gook

  • that's what is all about - buying more stuff and bullshit for money that doesn't exist.

China man, shut up and work for $17 a month!!!!

    ain't that great :)

  • While the average investor didn't fully comprehend complex market instruments such as derivatives(i.e., Credit Default Swaps and Collateralized Debt Obligations), what the average Joe should pay heed to is underlying market fundamentals. Hindsight 20/20 dictates that housing prices severely outpaced income. During this period, there was also an unprecedented rise in the Dow, showing that stock market was severely overvalued as well. The weakening dollar compounds the problem even further.

  • What causes severe recessions? Economic bubbles. In recent memory, we've seen the dot com bubble, the housing bubble, as well as our current federal debt bubble(i.e., the real debt figure could be as high as $75 trillion). When interest rates are kept too low for too long it creates an environment which nurtures such bubbles. On the contrary, raising interest rates serves to stop such bubbles in their tracks--even bursting them. Unfortunately, our massive debt makes it fiscally impossible.

  • @ourfamilyvideos808 75 trillion - WHAT.

  • Short term gain incentive is the biggest problem all over, not just Wall Street. Supermarkets, pharmacies, factories...any chain store you walk into. It isn't dangerous if it's, say, 'the Gap' (for the customer) but it is if you are getting your Rx from an understaffed drug store.

  • Paulson not paying 50 million in taxes because of Bush I signing a loophole bill..........ha ha ha.........now I know why I don't respect our government. As for the ratings agencies...........why aren't many of those workers in prison?

  • Did he mention the massive subsidies by Freddie and Fannie or easy money policies?

  • Wow... this movie went to great lengths to show how both parties were responsible and this guy starts of his review with a soap box rant against the republican party... Fuck this guy.

  • @gatsby5555

this guy is a douche! This movie is the most NON-PARTISAN movie i have ever seen! AWESOME!!! (This pinhead can not see beyond the Republicrat Democrlican) Both of these idiots can't see it is FASCISM ! When big business is running government and academia.......

  • I wouldn't bag on Republicans. I think the movie showed how there was lack of regulation and the amount of neglect by the government as a whole; both republicans and democrats.

  • @utihomes While serving the interests of corporations is bipartisan largely due to the billions of dollars that Wall Street spends on lobby congress, they do differ on some key economic policy issues such as whether the debt limit should be raised in order to stave off a default. It certainly appears that Democrats in general don't look at trimming 40 percent from the budget as an option which will elicit backlash from their constituents, while the GOP in general is in favor of cutting fat.

  • Cenk I totally agree with you

  • Capitalisme needs controle.

  • Babylon will fall

  • Search "bush timeline meltdown" and watch some of the warnings that are a matter of record.

  • Unlike this bs race baiting review,.. the actual movie shows that the left is as much to blame.

While Inside Job is a good starting point, it does leave out some important facts that the left rather ignore, CRA that was the root of the subprime problem wasnt even mentioned?? How about the many warnings from the right that there were potential problems, all shot down by then Dem congress..

  • I'm confused, people are upset that bankers take advantage of humans basest instincts and have forced indigenous people to work for substandard wages to produce the lives that all the puppets of these bankers get to enjoy? You know the creature from jekyll island has been lurking for some time now, none of this is new. My only question is how much accountability is due to each person that has encouraged, loved and fed the creature? At what point is the devil innocent and you guilty for sin?

  • @Trucifer of course you make very valid point. Truth is, that you can always find people in great need who will work for you for substandard wages. Truth is also, that you can deceive people who don't really understand risk and financial instruments. Truth is, in a hierarchical system the absence of regulations will almost always lead to abuse of power. Truth is, man's nature is dark and the people capable of doing a crime they can get away with, will have the upper hand.

  • When corruption is as obvious as it is today - both on Wall St. and the FED, restitution must be mandatory. How can the CEOs of the banks that failed due to fraud and the CFOs of the companies who were criminal in their pursuit of bonuses - be allowed to go home with all the marlbles? This is INSANITY! Not only do they escape prosecution and conviction, they are allowed to keep all the profits and spoils of their crimes! Somebody needs to step up and demand that restitution be made!

  • This film I think everyone should watch. This documentary will open the eyes of those who think the wall street financial world is too complicated. It really makes you want to spread the word about messed up shit out there.

  • @ebnch couldn't agree more. Makes the blood boil. These guys are white collar terroists.

  • this documentary is excellent... just have wikipedia near for any terms that you may not know of...

  • Have you guys reviewed "The Secret of Oz" or anything by Bill Still? His works might be as instructive if not more than this. Hope to see you review it.

  • I feel bad for the people between the ages of 25-35 when these subprime mortgages were being pushed.

    1. Rent, and throw away your money for 6+ years to a landlord.

    2. Buy a home you can afford and live around subprime mortgage bums who are a bad influence on your kids.

    3. Move into a suitable neighborhood and live on the edge financially, and maybe lose your home.

    Completely trapped.

  • @Polarcupcheck 1. Rent, and throw away your money for 6+ years to a landlord.

Rent is not throwing away your money. When you take into account the interest rate on a mortgage, the property tax, and the insurance you must carry, renting is not so bad. Rent reasonably and invest the balance. Buy what you can afford. Not leverage to get what you think you deserve.

No one is trapped. We are conned into believing we deserve what we cannot afford. That our credit rating is important.

  • @Twicebakedtaters Rent is for profit. Unless you are talking subsidized housing, rent includes taxes, mortgage, and insurance. The same house is cheaper to own. Of course a cheap house in a poor neighborhood is cheaper than an upscale house. I covered that.

  • @Polarcupcheck The average return on house value over time is roughly 6.26 % If you have bought more than you can afford as an investment and your payments are at a rate of 5.5% plus Add and additional 3% in taxes and insurance. Now the cost of your investment is at 8.5% Without repairs. 165,000 loan = 1349/month

Without repairs. It is only cheaper to own a home over the full 30 years provides the market. In the first 10 you gain nearly nothing on your principal.

  • @Twicebakedtaters

The fallacy "cheaper to own" is quite humorous. It entirely depends on the market, where you live and the interest rate you pay. $250,000 loan 5.5%, 30 year $1419/month- $17,033./yr In the first 10 years you will pay $170,330 and your mortgage will still be $200,000. One might as well add about $650/month for taxes and insurance. Now we are up to $2060/month. This will increase over time. We're up to $24,713/year x 30 = $741,409 without tax and insurance increase.

  • @Twicebakedtaters It is cheaper to rent a very cheap house than it is to own a much more expensive one.

But to rent or buy the same property, will always be cheaper to own. There are so many reasons. To think otherwise is to assume landlords are doing charity work, or they get a discount.

  • Anyone who breaks this down to a right /left issue is ignorant and or prejudice themselves , Likewise with capitalism/socialism as causitive factors . These guys completely missed the fundamental nature of what is transpiring in america and the world .This film while entertaining does not inspire confidence that anything will change .

  • I find it quite humorous a group called "the young turks" are making racial remarks and hateful statements during their "review". Hahahaha how stupid can you be?

  • democracy creates equality. Capitalism just pays me to say that! -gji

  • Its a warning to other countries: Don't import America's money worshipping culture. If you want to fix things, try banding all advertising, and try celebrating what you got, and not want you havn't.

  • Social capitalism works fine i all of Scandinavia and has done for the last 50 years!!

  • @cmk1971

"Social" and "Capitalism" are like "Oil" and "Water" ... One places Society (the Collective) above the Individual (Private Property); whereas the other places Private Property as paramount.

Anything "Socail" has absolutely NO private property Rights...none. If the "Society" can lay claim to 1% of your person or property; there is no individual (property) rights...as it is today in America and everwhere else in he world; Society first - Individual last.

  • @helltrackrider I think you are wrong.

  • @cmk1971

Glad you think that - definitions do not think that I am wrong.

Half of every transaction in our economy involves what?....money.

Does the "market" regulate the value of the currency or the amount of currency within the economy?...No.

This fact alone removes this economy from being under the title of "Capitalism"

I understand that CNN / MSNBC have led you to believe that the US is a capitalist economy where the rich take advantage of the poor - dont believe them.

  • cockroach2 you're rigth corporatism is corruption but it's a very sophisticated form of corruption it's backed by law mostly, so calling it corporatism helps to define the corrupted ways corporations and banks have perfected over the years and can help to bring'em down if people wake up..

  • Cast: Alan Greenspan, Jewish Paul Volcker, Jewish Larry Summers, Jewish Dominique Strauss Kahn, Jewish Barney Frank, Jewish Nouriel Roubini, Jewish John Paulson, Jewish Glenn Hubbard, Presbyterian Albert Misan, Jewish Robert Rubin, Jewish Arthur Levitt, Jewish Angelo Mozilo, Roman Catholic Lloyd Blankfein, Jewish Harvey J. Goldschmid, Jewish Richard Fuld, Jewish Ben Bernanke, Jewish Frederic Mishkin, Jewish Bill Ackman, Jewish Kenneth Rogoff, Jewish Rahm Emanuel, Jewish etc.
  • @samaroha88 You forgot Soros there. Oh, wait, he was shown as one of the "good guys" in the movie so that doesn't fit the trend of what you're doing there.

Americans are just too stupid. Nobody said anything when they deregulated securities markets. We don't have shit like that going on here in Europe.

  • @samaroha88 Let's not forget Henry Paulson, not jewish, John Snow, not jewish, Bill Clinton, not jewish. By the way, I am jewish. I think it is great that everyone has an opinion, but really, this is not a faith based issue. This is about the greed of man, no matter what faith. People of all faiths had a hand in the meltdown, so let's try to be a little more educated on the issue. Not angry, just pointing out the facts.

  • lol the guy on the right has no idea what hes talking about

  • yes you right JEWISH RULES!!!

  • @samaroha88 ... Perhaps, ol' Adolf was on to something.

  • @samaroha88

Bigoted comment. Wall Streeters of different races and religious are responsible for the collapse.

  • @Prophetess7 maybe so, but samaroha88 has clearly just demonstrated that 90% of the major players are jewish.

  • @samaroha88 is alan greenspan not jewish?

  • @samaroha88

Nice list. And people wonder where anti-Semitism comes from.

  • @JanBurton2011 stereotypes aren't stereotypes for no good reason.

as a gay hairdresser, I'm qualified to say that.

  • Congratulation to the producer of Inside Job! I like the beginning of the speech when they were accepting their awards!

  • This whole government is corrupt. Even Obama who promised change is now onboard with the crooks. I have no faith in this America. They talk about socialism this and socialism that. Well what is capitalism; even worst, greed, corruption and screwing the middle class and the poor. What is so great about capitalism????

  • BEST MOVIE OF 2010 and I am going to forecast 2011

  • The Young Turks are pathetic

  • @loopba eat my ass

  • @loopba What the hell are you talking about? Did you see the film? THIS is what people should be protesting, not marriage equality.

  • I want to download the move for anything less than $15. The scam-ers want 5 day free,,,the $29 a month subscription. Collusion?

  • Capitalism is prone to crisis, perpetuates inequality, and doesn't even come close to meeting the needs of the world's population. In short screw capitalism.

  • Good discussion.

  • This jackwagon is referring to all Hispanics as Mexicans. WTF?! Should I consider he is Chinese because he has Asian characteristics?

  • The definitive documentary? NOT EVEN CLOSE! Cenk have you ever heard of the Zeitgeist films? if you haven't I recommend you go to zeitgeistmovie . com and watch them! by the way the third one will be release on selected theaters worldwide on January 15th, 2011 & on the Internet FOR FREE on January 25th, 2011.

  • This little Asian kid doesn't even try to hide his bias

  • @freyesvargas that's what teabaggers called themselves for months until someone eventually told them that it means having your balls sucked. I just think it's funny.

  • It's not decades of deregulation. It's over 200 years.

  • maybe i should not be having all these sadnesses of the world sink into my mind being that i am so young. i know i think about all these things quite a bit. so i always feel somewhat drenched in WHY WHY. so i mean it has also propelled me into to enjoy life and make plans of things that make me happy. also to pursue all of my passion without too much hesitation and for all those nay sayers, they can go suck it. this is my life and save it with all their hatred and negativity!

  • Cenk, when corporations take over the free market and the government it's fascism not communism.

  • @freyesvargas But they are a shower of cunts. They want to teach children fairy tales instead of the truth.

  • I felt exactly the same after watching capitalism a love story. i felt that him tugging on emotional strings the way he did alsmost discredited the movie. can't wait to see this.....maybe i'll even be able to convince my parents to watch and hopefully open their eyes to what the real problem is.

  • He is right about the corporatism. But people did take out loans and mortgages they couldn't afford. As far as the "Tea Party" bashing. Its a grass roots movement.Funny he blames one side,so with that i discredit this video!! Both sides work together to create this.Wake up!!!!

  • Under british insolvency law, when a corporation is put in to receivership, all the creditors must then queue(line) up and wait their turn... even employees with salaries and expenses which is why its percieved as "business-friendly" as even the salaries are negotiable where under stronger legal regimens, workers are paid first. That is, when a corporation is put in chapter 7 bankruptcy, its managment are sacked (fired) and no longer has the company operational direction - no chapter 11!!

  • youthful reviewers pretend that the corruption began during modern times - rather it has been a reimployment of the same skills since the 80's with the thousands of nameless re-employed across the industry, that out there is a resume with drexel, bear stearns, manufacturers hanover, EFhutton, IBJ, shearson ,lehman brothers, salomon brothers, brown brothers harriman, moodys, fitch, s&p = 100% fraud but a living.

  • Why is cenk so closed minded? Why wouldn't he have a calm argument with Peter Schiff?

  • Is there any logic to deny individuals their ability to remain productive members of society, enabling it to develop and progress? No, but that is irrelevant for corporations. They seek to make as much profit as fast as possible. It doesn't matter if an entire nation falls into economic disaster, they get an extra billion dollars in their pockets.

  • Also 'social capitalism' - sure sure. Let's give everybody who 'cannot contribute' and incentive to make sure they NEVER CONTRIBUTE. Because, excuse me. If you CAN contribute NOBODY is going to give you a house and welfare.

What kind of a stupid idea is that? Give people incentives to NEVER contribute, to pretend they are mentally ill, etc.

And NO, Apple wasn't built by somebody who got anything from gov't.

Steve Wozniak was the GUY who built the first home Apple PC, all on his own, privately

  • @romanmir01 That childish nonsense you spouted shows that you have deep seated mental problems. You have no empathy and are just another mindless psycopath. Go fuck off to the woods and die alone, it's the ayn rand way.

  • @nilbud No, childish nonsense is magic thinking that everybody around you owes you something just because you exist. Surprise, motherfucker - it doesn't work that way. Soon you'll find out all about it, once the Chinese stop rolling those US bonds over and you end up hyperinflating USD just to buy back all that debt, and then you have no trade partners and then you are sitting there, waving your dick in an empty store - there is nothing to buy with all that useless paper.

  • @romanmir01 Yawn I live in Ireland, the big surprise winners in the election here in three months will be the United Left Alliance. The banks have been nationalised and will stay that way under ULA pressure. Social banks with thousands of houses shops and businesses harmonising both with existing EU and Chinese protocols. It's really amazing how many Chinese students have been earning their masters and doctorates in Irish Universities since the 90's. Of course the Muslims are here too.

  • @romanmir01 i guess you're assuming that the only reason people work is for food and shelter, not because they want to contribute to society, have a desire to help people, or want to do something they believe in. I guess everyone who becomes a cop, soldier, doctor, volunteer, minister, organizer, donates to a charity, works for a good cause, dedicates themselves to public service, etc. is only doing it to prevent starvation or death by exposure.

  • @jsjkim Lets see: so if you lower the pay of all those doctors and ministers and organizers and cops and soldiers, they will still continue doing all of that and they will not try to change their circumstance by doing something different?

Surely there were always volunteers and will be, nothing new about that. But the majority of people are not volunteers. It's clear from the SS and EI situation - people, when presented with a choice: get that 300/week from gov't or get a job for 300/week.

  • All banks SHOULD have been allowed to fail. ALL of them SHOULD have failed, because all of them DID fail.

Now, with all the bailouts and stimulus and QEs etc, now it's the GOVERNMENT'S time to fail.

WHO is going to bail out US government? The Federal reserve obviously - will monetize all the government debt.

What will happen to USA if that is done? Complete annihilation of the US dollar and of US capital. Complete disarray of economy in USA. Total collapse, because NOBODY can bail out USD.

  • @romanmir01 You don't understand the place of banks in the economy or the nature of legal contracts. Go learn something before spouting your half baked naive nonsense.

  • "when lehman brothers goes down and basically that Henry Paulson and Bernanke, you know, with their kind of 'laissez faire' philosophy" - WHAT? :))))

Bernanke and Paulson do NOT HAVE LAISSEZ FAIRE philosophy. That's fucking stupid nonsense. Those are the guys who have kept the interest rate at 0%.

ZERO PERCENT! That is laissez faire philosophy? Man, what a load of stinky crap this reviewer is spewing.

There IS a reason Lehman was allowed to fail, and it's because JP Morgan had it all short

  • None of the mainstream 'economists' even understand economics. The universities do not teach economics, they teach Keynesian shamanism, it has nothing to do with economics. Krugman. The Nobel Prize is a JOKE because he has it.

He doesn't understand inflation. Inflation is the reason that the economy is being destroyed because the MONEY is being destroyed. It's all gov't spending, because gov't is able to BORROW PRINTED MONEY from the Fed. And that's it. That's why capital is leaving USA.

  • "Krugman written articles" - O, FFS.

This idiot, as well as Bernanke, as well as Greenspan couldn't UNDERSTAND that what inflation is even. They STILL do not understand. Bernanke and Krugman do not know why gold and other commodities are going up. They are counting CPI and GDP, too bad that CPI doesn't include food and energy and housing! I mean what else do you use? Clothing and entertainment? Everything uses energy at minimum! GDP is a joke. It counts in the fake money Fed is circulating.

  • @romanmir01 Too bad your facts are lies otherwise you'd have a hell of a theory.

  • No, it's decades of government spending. Decades of gov't printing of money. Decades of Fed setting interest rate at 1%-0%, which left banks without real ways of earning interest. Decades of FDIC enticed moral hazard, that left banks without any reason to earn customers' trust and actually not gamble with deposits. Decades of moral hazard of Freddie/Fannie, which gave banks a new way to earn high interest on the discount Fed cash to Freddie/Fannie secured loan spread.

    Gov't IS the disease.

  • competition, the top 4 banks ANZ, Commonwealth, Westpac and NAB have pretty much cornered the market in the banking sector with smaller banks being absorbed or going bust. There's legislation being proposed to stop the dominance of the banks to allow more competition and freedom in australia, so indeed this rampant corporatism is something that should be dealt with before it gets even more out of hand then it is.

  • Very interesting doco on the economic meltdown in america, though cenk i got to say i believe social capitalism has worked quite well down here in australia, we were able to stabilize our economy and pull ourselves out of the recession before many in europe were able to do and before you guys were able to. I aint saying it's perfect but it works for our economy being there isn't so much emphasis on the class levels here. Though i am worried about big corporations taking over and eliminating

  • It WAS largely about killing off all the Small and Legitimate Banks that are not with the Cartel just like they did during the Great Depression.

  • You are wrong on your analysis. The problem are the ties between banks and government. We need to end the fed and banks should operate independently. If Krispy Kreme donuts can't pays its bill, it goes bankrupt. If Goldman can't pay its bills if it is independent of government it goes bankrupt.

  • @pirucreek if krispy kreme goes bankrupt, the stock market doesn't crash and people's life savings don't get erased and millions don't lose their homes. I hate the idea that big banks are too big to fail, but that's an unfortunate reality, not a philosophy that one has the option of believing or not. The way to prevent too big to fail is to not allow banks to become so big that if they fail, the world economy tanks

  • @pirucreek A bank is never too big to fail. If a bank fails, like Lehman, its assets are transferred somewhere else and the depositors are protected by fdic insurance. to big to fail is the con of big banks to get bailouts to create a moral hazard.

  • 240p? wtf young turks?

  • @pinochska

    240p? wtf young turks?

Yes, you are right, I watch this clip for beautiful face of and great well-built body of Cenk, as well as the sexy hair style of Jon... Obviously EVERYONE here is panic and in rage with low resolution of video.

  • @garytcw nope... no one is in panic just saying that everyone would enjoy the higher qualiy.. and that includes you dummy

  • somestimes Cenk is still to right wing for me with his views on money & capitlism, he often sounds greedy and goes on about a big payday far too often.

  • Oh you really think they put in a movie all the dirty trick they have done/are doing? oh come on, don`t believe this bs. it`s 70% BS 30% truth.

  • Better go see if I can find this movie and watch it.. TYT could you give the movie Collapse, with Micheal Ruppert, a review? Or maybe even better Get Ruppert him self on the show? He's a very special man, with a lot of good info and advice.

  • @daralinn I'm reading the book now and was thinking of checking out the movie. It's on my netflix queue!

  • cenk, when is your communist hour?

  • Have to see this movie. Will hopefully make it a little easier to see when the next crah is comming, and judging by what more or less everyone who knows about economics are saying, it should be way bigger, so i'd like to be aware.

please americans.. Get these corrupt sob's thrown out of office, killed or something, to make this world a better place for all of us. I'm sick and tired of having to deal with what ever it pleases corrupt american politicians to put the whole world through.

  • @jo05dk ..og and btw:

You're a smart guy Cenk, but it's pretty clear that you've missed out on a few things. Socioeconomics or not: As long as there are a few human beings on this planet, they will compete. It's basic human nature. You don't have to let people starve to get them to move their asses.

  • That's the thing about "Too Big To Fail"... They're actually too big to fail. There's too much dependent upon them, around the world. They're like a societal parasitic buttress upon which the walls of civilization hinge. And they shouldn't be. They shouldn't get that big.

And no, Cenk, it's not almost "Communism", it's almost Fascism. Soviet "Communism" was actually more Fascist. In Communism, the economy is owned by the entire community. In Fascism, it's run by the state.

  • @dEdGrimley

Man, you have some great posts.

  • @TheGiantRobot

    I enjoy yours as well.

  • @dEdGrimley The fascists methods were justified as a mean of reaching communist utopia were this wouldn't have been necessary anymore.

  • @dEdGrimley i thought fascism is where corporations and the government work in collusion, basically serving each other and not the citizens

  • @jsjkim The corporations get little from government, government taxes them that's about it.

  • @jsjkim

lol It is, but ya know, 500 characters... The ultimate trickle down - The head of state is the CEO and head of all "divisions", and has ultimate say over what they do.

  • Maybe I didn't listen entirely to the definition of social capitalism Jon provided, but when Cenk began contrasting his position against it to show why he thinks it's a little too socialist, it sounded to me like his position is, in fact, social capitalism! I mean, I thought 'fair rules' as Cenk called it WAS the basic gist of how Jon was describing it. I'm confused, Cenk!

  • Jewish Bankers = Economic Destruction

  • @akamal1113 Would you prefer Arabic bankers driving the economy into destruction?

  • Almost Communism? You mean Fascism.

  • @Shisho2k

Very few people have any idea what they're saying when they use either word. Thanks to the modern preach-n-screech morons, there are people who think you can be both at once, despite the fact that they're polar opposites.

  • Whats with Jonathan Kims Gay ear-ring.

  • I came to this country for a better live. I lived in Cuba before, and this country is also full of shit. we're all so cowardly, what the fuck will it take for us to fight? I am only 16 (what 16 year old is taken seriously?) please if you care about this country fight the corruption! Our founding fathers would be ashamed this government and us. will I have to leave this country too? we need people to protest and just bring attention to this.I hate communism, and I hope this country can be fixed.

  • The movie will change nothing. We have to fall all the way down for people to understand. Most people are concerned with sex tapes and trying to be cool. The only way to wake them up is for them to lose everything, then real change can happen.

  • Capitalism: A Love Story is and ode to how much we need communism. So it's not surprising when a documentary comes around that explains exactly what happened the communist cries "Snowball."

  • The thing about Capitalism is its dog eat dog. We are no longer apes in the jungle fighting over who gets the banana. Capitalism is evil, it promotes greed over generosity, division over unity, self interest over what's best for the majority. While the pure ideal of Capitalism has some merit, (society chooses what it likes and doesn't like) its implementation is unreachable. Greed is a trait humans may never overcome, a system of governance that encourages greed will lead to extinction.

  • @Roeshamboe05 What is greed? Excessive desire. So while greed might be bad I would argue that desire is not. A system of governance that ignores human nature won't be very successful either.

  • Isn't this the third review or reposting?

  • I don't think Capitalism: A love story said "this is a bad system." I always thought "the way america is using capitalism is wrong and we should fix it."

  • Cenk's a capitalist because he assumes that no economic system could ever be developed that's more in line with ethics. I mean the capitalist mantra is "don't mix business with ethics". We should have direct democracy/distributed power with money being created & dispensed by the treasury exclusively for social programs and infrastructure; cut out central banks like the fed. If the treasury issues it's own money it can't be in debt. Think about that, NO govt debt!

  • Allmost communist wtf .. Thats exactly what it is 100 % fascism

  • Fair rules and ethics = socialism, which is a good thing, its just a "scary word" because other systems have used the label wrongly.

I don't know why Cenk keeps saying hes conservative, hes just skeptical. Conservatives would never consider trying a new system, these days they destroy the idea before they even hear it. Cenk, your not a conservative!

  • One word: Quants

  • I wish Cenk wouldn't call it corporatism. That makes it sound like a coherent political philosophy. It's not. It's corruption, and I wish people would say so.

  • @cockroach2 a 'legal' corruption may be! corporatism is when the goverment starts subsidising businiesses allowing them to get bigger and bigger, then basicly ending up by destroying the free market! in a sense, yes, you're right! if you think that the money we are forced to pay(tax) goes somewhere we didn't volunteer for, then it IS partially a form of corruption indeed! But I'm gonna go to the extent to calling it fascism!

  • @cockroach2

Communism is/was a coherent political philosophy, and it is as much (if not more) corruption as corporatism.

  • @cockroach2

To be fair though, the introduction of corporate power into the market REALLY tilted the scale, so much so that I think capitalism + corporations bares it's own designation, and why not corporatism. But, in more realistic terminology I think the equation looks closer to this; corruption + psychopathy = we're totally fucked.

  • @cockroach2 Or call it what it really is.. fascism

  • @boricuamm707 I disagree. Again fascism is too organized, too much based on principle. I think the Mafia is a better analogy.

  • @boricuamm707 i have to agree with cockroach2, but fascism do you really know what fascism is?

  • @devak32 Yes, basically a nation run by the corporations. And thinking they aren't organized is a joke; It doesn't matter which politician you elect, they are all corrupted by who pays their bills. Right now it's mostly the Koch brothers.

A mafia controls the businesses in a region by threatening them, being thugs, killing, whatever you wanna call it. But they don't own any corps. The mafia gets busted when they're caught, these guys don't.. and when they fuck up, we pay their bills.

  • @boricuamm707

You do know that the activities of the Mafia and Government are identical.

Corporations, which you are blaming, would not exist without a "Government"

What is the one thing that the Government has and the Mafia doesnt have, but wants desperately to have?

    The control of the Education.

With this control, you can brainwash people to believe that your involuntary services are necessary and virtuous; even though your business plan is inherently immoral and evil.

  • @helltrackrider I'd say the corporations to some degree do have control over our education, or at least how much money goes into it. In a lot of different states (Wisconsin being the best example) we have politicians cutting education funding in order to give tax breaks to the rich.

Goes back to my theory that corporations run our government.

  • @boricuamm707

Government (Federal / State / Local) controls the extorted money and its allocation...Public Education being funded via extortion is controlled by the Government...Corporations influence the Governments allocation yes, because they seek to drive out competition and indirectly profit from the violence perpetrated by the Government.

In education - test scores support this - money has been thrown out the window; more money is continually spent and test scores remain the same

  • @boricuamm707

In a true "Capitalist" economy; education is a service (as is everything else) - and the private sector provides services for profit; this is where most people stop in their logic and say "Screw Capitalism - its all for profit"....of course it is.

But, in seeking the profit - the entity has to go up against unlimited competition...and what is the best way to acquire a market share?...provide a greater quality product or service in relation to your competition.

  • @boricuamm707

Providing a great quality product or service is something that Government; nor the companies riding on the extorted coat tail of Government, has to worry about - for they have removed the competition aspect and replaced it with a gun ... they forcefully take your right to choice, which exist in a free market, and replace it a forced product - Public Education for example.

In a free market, todays education system would fail miserably due to competition.

  • @boricuamm707

So ... in short; Corporations influence this Government; yes...that is an inherent flaw of Government.

Government is a group of people claiming clontrol of a geographical area...people are influenced by money, emotions and lifetime experiences...

Congressmen make laws based on their feeling or beliefs; not based on universal principles - such as "dont hit" or "dont steal"...theft (taxes) is okay to them, as long as they think it goes to a "good" cause.

  • @cockroach2 Its an unfortunate term but the right one, these companies have bought off govt and forced politicians to legalize their criminal behavior, what is corrupt in the moral sense is no longer a crime it is an acceptable business practice.

  • Cenk is still a capitalist. Lol.

Still waiting for the conversion to democratic socialism, Cenk.

  • "Hell has three gates: lust, anger, and greed” - Bhagavad Gita

  • co-opting this term again for benign incorrect use so that people forgot the ridiculous empty hole in shanksville which should be a red flag for how no-one has ever perpetrated a real terrorist attack on american

  • @superfuzz that hole near shanksville had about 95% of a boeing 757 and the remains of all the passengers in it.

  • @dangerouslytalented yes that's the official story, but they unearthed it all in the daylight without anyone ever producing one photo of it except a very suspicous photo of an engine, and they have never shown the wreckage to anyone. and how exactly did the wings manage to dig into that 20 foot hole??. you know that a 757 has a 100 foot wingspan yeh?. anybody who believes the shankesville story is a moron. in no other planecrash ever has the plane vanished on impact

  • @superfuzz actually, there was quite a lot of plane wreckage, much of which was buried by impact (speeds in excess of 500mph). Or you could simply go to shanksville and call all the eyewitnesses and rescue workers from the local sherriffs office liars and wait for them to break your nose.

  • To all, go look up dprjones vids

    watch?v=1qROovaGUEI

    watch?v=yPyM8sDFCoQ

    watch?v=SMvz3taoMnU

  • can't wait to see this.

  • 10% of the population owns 85% of the wealth while the poorest, 50%, eek by with 1%. The remaining 40%-- the exploited workers (you!)-- are reluctantly given 14%, taxed at 55% (all taxes combined) for doing all the hard work required to generate the massive wealth our self proclaimed kings hoard in undocumented, untaxed, offshore "bank" accounts. If you're not working directly under the owners, you're considered a serf, chattel-- a wage slave, a debt slave, an indentured servant-- even livestock

  • Oh, thank "god". I thought this was a 9/11 troother thing (as in "9/11 = inside job").

I don't want Cenk and the others to go over to dumb side. That would be instant UNSUB.

  • @jdh501 ditto

    9/11 Truthers = Creationists

Their specious "evidence" is always so retarded, and I'm as Progressive as you can (intelligently) get.

The crime I attribute to the Bush admin is complacency and ineptitude, as well as fraud in their later exploitation of 9/11 as one of their false precepts to link their war in Iraq with the attacks.

  • @TAz69x any doubters need only look @ WTC 7.

most truthers want only a re investigation and the TRUTH to come out. not what was given in the 9/11 commission report...

  • @alwayzAngry Why are you so focused on Building 7?

I'm obviously aware of the endless footage and collapse mechanics. But from a strategical point of view, it makes no fucking sense.

The two towers began their collapse cascade when a wall buckled and the hat truss was insufficient at transferring the energy to the core.

They could've just "demolished" #7 in the confusion of either collapse's dust cloud, as opposed to later in the day in broad view.

Besides, it need not fall for their war.
