Is this a good edging for Tunisian? I am just learning Tunisian and noticed in one of your videos you mention about the curling and that you should put edging on it to prevent it - or something to that effect. Would this work well, or would you recommend a different style of edging for Tunisian?
@Tsunada1 Yes, you will want to work more than 1 stitch in the corners or they will pull and curl. This video is only an example. You may find that you need to work 5 stitches in the corner or only 3 stitches. You have a lot of room for modification.
Teresa, I cant see what you're doing very well with a light background. Im having trouble getting started. Can you possibly show me another edging. Thank you!
Thank you for posting this! I've been trying to figure out how to do edging. I got the first row done but then I didn't know how to continue on so this really helped!
Great video. What is the pattern (or where could I find the pattern) for your mini afghan sample? My grandmother made an afghan just like it, and I'd really like to know how to make one myself. Thanks!
I was knitting on a rollercoaster. It's ok now - I made a bandage from my husbands shirt. Thank you for the video though , I in no way hold you responsible.
I have been looking at crochet helpers on Youtube and find yours to be *particularly* helpful! I love your 'mini-afghan'. It's almost a checker board type look to it. I will definatly have to check out your basket weave stitch now! I just mastered single, double, treble and slip stiches (thus why I was looking for new stuff like boarders because all my 'practice squares' looked unfinished). Thanks and keep up the good work!
This is going to be very useful to me. Im trying to finish a earflap hat and I want white criss-cross st all around the hat. This is just for decorative purposes. Do you know how I could do this without messing up anything?? lol. Thank you
Your videos have been wonderful for me. I'm a very visual person and instructions on paper don't always do it for me. I can keep replaying your instructions until I understand. My most heartfelt thanks for your help.
I have been trying to learn to crochet for years and your videos finally helped it sink in for me. I have been making hats and things like crazy lately and have been really enjoying myself.
I love your videos! Your work is so helpfull! In this video "Crochet - Single Crochet Edging" you use an afgan's piece. Plese , tell me how to do the stitch of these afgan too.
Thank you for sharing your videos, I am new to crocheting and I would just like to know if you could show us how to do the stitch that you used to make the "blanket" in this tutorial? It's very beautiful!

When you do the corners, is that 2 and 3 single crochets in one corner stitch?

This mini square is called the basketweave stitch. It uses frontpost and backpost double crochet stitches. I will send you the link separately.

Your videos are excellent. On the edging video would you make the single crochets with the RS facing you? Does it matter?
capmcg 2 years ago
It would depend on if your pattern stitch has a right side. Most of the time it will not matter which side you put it on.

Hey I followed your instructions exactly and ended up stabbing myself in the leg!

i can't seem to even get the first step down. I am confused as to how to loop it over and pull out. I think i'm just a slow learner.

I have video tutorials specifically for the beginning crochet stitches. They are in slow motion. Let me know if you need help finding them.

Do you think this looks good on a knit project.

I hear of people using knit and crochet together all the time. I don't see why it would not look good.
