  • Is this a good edging for Tunisian? I am just learning Tunisian and noticed in one of your videos you mention about the curling and that you should put edging on it to prevent it - or something to that effect. Would this work well, or would you recommend a different style of edging for Tunisian?

  • @MsGin1969 The single crochet will work with tunisian

  • thank you!

  • Thanks for the nice tutorial.. Very simple and easy to understand. :)

  • @amfromvenus You are welcome.

  • When you do the corners, is that 2 and 3 single crochets in one corner stitch?

  • @Tsunada1 Yes, you will want to work more than 1 stitch in the corners or they will pull and curl. This video is only an example. You may find that you need to work 5 stitches in the corner or only 3 stitches. You have a lot of room for modification.

  • I wish you had shown your actions more slowly.

  • your welcome, and keep it simple!

    lol!

  • I love your videos because you make it sooooo simple!

  • @TheKittykat100 Thank you.

  • Teresa, I cant see what you're doing very well with a light background. Im having trouble getting started. Can you possibly show me another edging. Thank you!

  • Thank you for posting this! I've been trying to figure out how to do edging. I got the first row done but then I didn't know how to continue on so this really helped!

  • You are welcome.

  • Great video. What is the pattern (or where could I find the pattern) for your mini afghan sample? My grandmother made an afghan just like it, and I'd really like to know how to make one myself. Thanks!

  • This mini square is called the basketweave stitch. It uses frontpost and backpost double crochet stitches. I will send you the link separately.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Your videos are excellent. On the edging video would you make the single crochets with the RS facing you? Does it matter?

  • It would depend on if your pattern stitch has a right side. Most of the time it will not matter which side you put it on.

  • Hey I followed your instructions exactly and ended up stabbing myself in the leg!

  • Why did you go and do that?

  • I was knitting on a rollercoaster. It's ok now - I made a bandage from my husbands shirt. Thank you for the video though , I in no way hold you responsible.

  • Thank you very much. :)

  • You are welcome. :)

  • i can't seem to even get the first step down. I am confused as to how to loop it over and pull out. I think i'm just a slow learner.

  • I have video tutorials specifically for the beginning crochet stitches. They are in slow motion. Let me know if you need help finding them.

  • This is going to be very useful to me. Im trying to finish a earflap hat and I want white criss-cross st all around the hat. This is just for decorative purposes. Do you know how I could do this without messing up anything?? lol. Thank you

  • You are welcome. :)

  • You are great. Thank you for this instructional video. It has helped a lot. Where can I find more of your videos? I just came a cross this by chance.

  • They are all here on youtube. You can click on my main channel page and you will find playlists categorizing basic stitches for beginners.

  • This is great. I'm a visual learner, so this was great!!! Thanks!!

  • Thank you. :)

  • Your videos have been wonderful for me. I'm a very visual person and instructions on paper don't always do it for me. I can keep replaying your instructions until I understand. My most heartfelt thanks for your help.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Do you think this looks good on a knit project.

  • I hear of people using knit and crochet together all the time. I don't see why it would not look good.

  • I have been trying to learn to crochet for years and your videos finally helped it sink in for me. I have been making hats and things like crazy lately and have been really enjoying myself.

    Thank you for doing this.

  • You are welcome. :)
