  • THIS BRINGS BACK OLD MEMMERIES HE WAS GREAT

  • One thing I always do with 78's is master them at 33RPM and speed them up on the computer... they usually sound a lot better, especially with louder recordings... less "hair" on the loud parts. although the EQ can be changed a little and you have to make sure you system doesn't have a low frequency roll off, as the bass characteristics will be in the subsonic range... the masters for these old recordings are usually missing, 2nd generation, or degraded... so a lot of times 78s are better.

  • just go to archive dot org and search for the title and or name, I have about three uploaded... one I mastered with a smaller stylus, one with a 78 stylus... for different results. There are some slight distortion artifacts in the high end, but I would rather hear that than no high end at all, as in most of the Cd's versions. his early sun stuff always sounds rather muffled... hope I can work on one of those some day! peace

  • I'm going to remaster my 78 version of this tonight and upload it on archives dot org. it's mint and on Ebay now, so it should sound a little better than this one.

  • @SEANFIR That would be great Sean!

  • @SEANFIR Sean how do I find it on archives? Could you post a link after it's uploaded?
