Have you ever looked at a comment that you posted over a year ago and thought why on earth did I post a comment like that. A year ago I got a speargun and I was trigger-happy.
Time has changed my ways, now I have found a new passion for the ocean without killing things and am thinking about studying marine biology next year.
That is such a gorgeus animal! Have you heard that now people are killing sting rays to get revenge((since one of them killed Steve Irwin)) it's so sad! They already found like... 10 sting ray bodies((last time I checked))
I know!! It's so mean!! I love sting rays!! Even though I got bit by one when I was feeding it... lol. I know they don't have teeth((or do they)) but something scratched my hand when it came up... lol.
yeah for real... fear was definately the last emotion I was feeling when I saw this big guy down there. Steve's unfortunate and unexpected death-by-stingray will definately change the way I react next time I come across one.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS COMMENTED! I obviously love the waters of South Florida and since moving down here just about a year ago have been alarmed by some of environmentally unsafe practices that are taking place under the noses of the mostly appathetic or misinformed public.
some odd reason the clip reminded me of finding nemo! lol!..you're really lucky to come encounter with these precious creatures...i can't even swim to save my life! heheh! =P
thast a nice vid i have nothing to scale but if thats about 4 feet long right? because my grandfather once caught a 247lb bat ray and it looked alot like that
i forget what those fish are called but they eat the algae and stuff that grows on the ray and in return for keeping it clean, it gives them a free ride through the sea. some sharks have fish like that too
Rays are fucking amazing.... my favorite animals :)

Nah, those are remoras, symbiotes.
They latch onto the Manta's wings and eat parasites, the remoras get their food and the Mantas get a free delousing, it's a fair deal.
TheWilsonator 5 years ago
Right, except that this is not a manta ray; it's an eagle ray. But yes, those are remoras.
