@arsridendi Puppies can be away from their mother after 6 weeks. They need to be with their mother for 5 weeks. It's the cut off. Just so YOU know.

@91snugglepuff: In my country, no proper breeder will give the puppies away before they're 10 weeks old, most give them away at 12 weeks. I find it hard to believe, puppies in other countries are independent from their mommy in half of that time! Oh, and just so YOU know: there is no hard and fast cut off. Every puppy/litter develops differently.

@arsridendi In the U.S., it is required for legitimate breeders to only let the puppies be away from their mother after 5 weeks. THAT's what I meant by cut off. Obviously every litter develops differently but that is the requirement.
