I MISS TechTV!! In Australia we had TechTV for a year on Foxtel Digital (2004) and I used to watch it all the time! The Screen Savers, Call for Help, X-Play, Invent This, etc... It was full of re-runs from 2003 & 2004, but damn it, it was the greatest! My interests of Technology and computers have been diminishing, but I am starting to gain more interest again!

I got rid of ALL TV. No service at all anymore. I got tired of the stations going to garbage. And G4 was the last station to finally have me make up my mind. MTV went to garbage years ago. VH1, Cartoon Network, Spike, FX, TLC, G4TV all garbage. And they just totally did away with Tech TV. So I figured.. You know what? I can stream or rent TV shows from Blockbuster and control what I watch. I hope for TV to get good again.

In the future, ISPs will put a bandwidth cap on the internet, making constant video streaming very difficult for the citizens. It's probably one tactic to force them to keep cable/satellite TV. Only thing I do with G4 is record AOTS & it takes me 5 minutes to watch it. Tech TV was THE BEST. Although all the great people from all those shows are on the web it was just so much better seeing them all in one place...TECH TV!

Tech TV was way better, the people made the difference, just watch some old Tech TV and you'll see what I mean. G4 kept Adam and Morgan, but I think those are the only people they kept. Funny thing is, X-Play is pretty much what inspired the change to G4, away from more "tech-help" stuff to more "tech-cool" stuff. G4 is great in its own right, better than most channels on TV, but the people of Tech TV were the best.

I was the guy who actually made this when i was in my late teens, it was back when i had my own website. I just got the clips from torrents. I first posted it on Leos site forums and he actually replied saying he teared up. Was awesome, this was just before he started the show in toronto.

I guess Tech TV was a little too new tech wave for most. So G4 stepped in and diluted all the tech with games and really no tech information for any applications. Morgan Webb looks like a model now! and thats about all that really improved for G4. They better not get rid of Adam Sessler, he's one of the original members, he was on when it was called Zid Tv instead of Tech Tv!

It's a shame. TechTV was really very cool. But it seems most stations these days have lost their original intent. Look at VH1 which started out as a very cool alternative to MTV but now is nothing more than a trash TV channel.G4 is the same.
