@greenis04good20 Maybe he likes loud cars? :P I can think of many other vehicles much louder than this STOCK. He wanted to upgrade his performance...that includes the supercharger, intake, exhaust, etc....which naturally makes it louder. And i'm sure no one has the intention of boosting a Fusion/making it louder when they see it at a dealer :P
Seriously, that does sound stupid. If you want a car that is noisy then ask ur dealer to remove your exhaust before you pull the vehicle off the lot, the point of an exhaust system is to make the engine quite. Because if you know anything about engine the gas combustible engine is naturally loud and noisy without an exhaust. Why would you want to do something to your new car to make it noisy?
@greenis04good20 The majority of the noise you hear is coming from the Eaton Supercharger. The noise is a byproduct of the performance gains I reached. Thank you for the 101 course on how combustion motors work though, your insight was invaluable.
How durable is this setup with the rest of the drivetrain? I see the options for pulleys and such that claim 475 hp, I cant imagine that going though our transaxles. I once has a S/C Oldsmobile Intrigue before I got an '06 fusion, by swapping out the stock L36 for an L67. This supercharger looks to be a nice goal to work towards, since I love boosting unassuming family cars, but im a bit apprehensive to put that power down reliably. All in all, nice Fuze man.
@thekenponinja I'm currently running at 10.5# and have been running the kit on a non built motor, stock trans and half shafts since roughly 72k and I'm now just shy of 130k. The first motor was running great until I hit some road debris and knocked a hole in the oil pan. the oil light didn't come on and I didn't know it had popped a whole in the oil pan. 1mi down the rd the motor popped. The new motor hasn't had any problems and the rest of the drivetrain is holding up fine.
About 1 year of R&D time with my car out of pocket and with the total cost including long term testing with part redesign and replacement for a couple of the parts that came with it roughly $5900. Not bad for 2 seconds off the stock 1/4 mile time.
Come up to San Fransisco or Sacramento for a meet or I can do a little traveling. The farthest I'll go is So Cal. I had set up a meet with an FFC member tentatively in December but I never got a solid time and location from him so I never went. still willing to go on the trip. If you live around the Sac area, that's where I'm at mostly.
looks good man, love the supercharger whine. you'll have to bring it up to hill one day and we'll take a spin. i'll race ya in my geo prizm i bought while on mid-tour, lol... just kidding,

this is the link to my time slip, I haven't run timed 0-60 or 0-100 with a calibrated setup or anything so I couldn't give you accurate numbers. I could hop in it and use a stop watch and test it that way to give you an observed time.
My fastest to date time slip is posted on FFC in the Engine drivetrain section under topic: Fusion 3.0L vsupercharger kit by Nautilus Performance Group
I ran 13.296 at 106MPH I haven't done a timed run 0-60 or 0-100 under a accurate counter so I can't really say. I can run it and do my own personal stop watch but it won't be 100% accurate.
All I paid for was the raw materials and MP90 to build the kit. It is a R&D prototype made by NPG-Racing out of Houma, LA. The kit is advertised on their site, I got mine for less because I gave them my car as a donor car to build the kit. The kit that I have doesn't fit under the stock hood. The second gen kit they're developing now should though.
man i wish i had a pro charger on mine but i wanna use the 5 speed trans on my v6 ima see if the bell houseing on the i4 can be switched to a v6 bell houseing
That sound is fucking amazing.

How much did the supercharger cost for you. Also does it fit under stock hood? I've tuned and put intake and full exhaust on mine just curious

Nice video. What size rims do you have on the car. I am doing a lot of the same things to my car but i couldn't decide on rim size.

@nemesis192003 They are 17x8 Konig Unknown rims. They don't rub at all and aren't that hard to keep clean

Too bad the M90 drowns out that beautiful Duratec music.
