What a sad pair of Pratt's, Ive been to koh Chang a couple of times, that's not a sewer, its a storm drain occasionally you get winds and the rubbish gos everywhere. it does get cleaned up. The morons need to take a break anywhere in the UK where people are lazy to clear there own rubbish up, where in Thailand people are house proud. Have we ever had food poisoning in Thailand ... This video seems as if you walked around looking for the drainage and garbage and filmed it. Koh Chang is not perfect. There was a lot of garbage out on the small islands near seaview resort but all in all the most beautiful place Ive ever been. I have only great memories of my week there. And Thailand is second world not third. And I'll take second world even before most first world countries if one can honestly judge. I think Koh Chang is awesome! And I have high standards

I live in Koh Chang and you are looking at the local storm drainage ditch! Of course it has some algae and smells bad... it is the tropics. But it is NOT a sewer drain! Get your facts straight... Yes, there "was" some issues with garbage pickup but the locals (all on their own) have been fixing this with local bins, workers are cleaning the ditches and there are new rules for local markets to keep the areas clean. This clip is nothing but a "shock" flick with no real meaning...

I agree with zennking, I was in Koh Chang for two weeks last year on my honeymoon and did not see all the garbage or smell ANY sewer the entire time. Sure there was some trash, but tell me where you can go and not see garbage. Overall it was very clean and amazingly beautiful - stop looking down and you may actually see it! Shameful anti-advertising...

We just got back from a lovely 8 days on Ko Chang. It rates to me as one of the most beautiful places on earth, and how some can go there and only see problems is sad. Sure it's not perfect, but why focus only on the bad? I will go back again. Absolutely

I have been there 2 twice in 2 years for a a total of a month. I don't remember it being that bad. But holy shit man, yea it does suck that it was like that for you.....but clean it up yourself or get the F off the island and don't come back for anothe vacation. I love lonely beach, yes and i am a brit. The rubbish on most Thai islands are caused by tourists. Why not make an effort and clean up after yourselves. My partner and i do this, we get a bag and pick up after ourselves, and also rubbish left by other scummy tourists. We are all responsible.

Do not be put off by this video. I have just returned from a 2week trip to Koh Chang Island and I can assure you, the place is paradise.

Yes, there may be an open sewer system which runs through the main town area, which in comparison to the Island size, is tiny.

This is THAILAND for goodness sake, the island especially are still a developing country.

Once on this island, make your way to Lonely beach, enjoy the beautiful beach front open bars and experience true paradise.
