  • Is this a speech from TED?

  • ХУЙНЯ

  • Really good. YOU DONT HAVE TO YELL!

  • The problem I see with the whole video is that it fails to mention that Statism/Socialism FORCES PEOPLE AT THE POINT OF A GUN to do what a tiny cabal of invariably corrupt tyrants want them to do.

Statism/Socialism/Marxism-Leninism/Fascism (they are all the same) is ANTI-individual, ANTI-freedom and, in the end, ANTI-human.

The history of mankind is so thick with examples it numbs the senses that the case has ever to be made again for Free Enterprise.

    Liberalism is a mental disorder.

  • @Wikipunani I feel like you're missing the point :/.

  • @Anachronosos Tell me that again after you've begun earning a living, then had to endure Big Brother's claw stealing a huge chunk of the fruit of your labor (i.e. ur fucking pay check) over and over again ..and Big Brother is never satisfied with HOW MUCH it steals every year from you. Stealing your labor.

Yeap, u jes get back to me once you've done that.

This vid, though a great presentation, UTTERLY air-balls it by not mentioning the PUNISHMENT Statism inflicts on freedom.

  • The monetary system is dead. People just don't realize it yet.

  • It's interesting that these are basically the fundamental ideas underpinning anarchist philosophy. A context that maximizes freedom, self-determination, self-directed creativity will lead to maximization of human potential and happiness.

  • I would love to see another study on this.

  • @appzdev Read 'Drive' by Daniel Pink. It seems as if he's quoting from there word-for-word.

  • @respectable66 This is a lecture by Daniel Pink himself. The official video can be found here on the RSA channel

  • @nac1988 That explains it!

  • @respectable66 Thanks respectable! I'll check it out!

  • Does the person doing the drawing get a credit? Sorry if they have and I missed it. It just seems worth a mention & makes these videos much more interesting & compelling.

  • @pyannaguy I totally agree pyannaguy. The animation is awesome!

  • 1:39 , 3:39 Over-justification effect? Rewarding somebody for being naturally motivated in doing something can degrade their performance.

  • Working for free ? Are you serious?

This cannot apply for the working class especially when the economic climate is changing.

But it does have some level of truth to it, taking money off the table, so that we do not need to worry about feeding ourselves or paying bills and can concentrate about work is good.

But what if this job is mandate? What if the inflation is going at a faster rate than increment?

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @mraj79 It's not working for free because it's not really working. Yes you need an income to live but people get a satisfaction from the purpose of the project which is enough. Many great things have been developed from hobbies and following your passions. The truth is many jobs out there aren't inspiring so these great ideas are developed from personal interests and convictions

  • @robc86

    I see it as manipulation.

  • Hi, I don't belive that your assessment is accurate. I recognize this talk, the author is Dan Pink and he did this presentation in 2009 at a Ted conference. He didn't make any money by presenting this but had to pay around $4,000 to participate in the conference. There is a video of the presentation at Ted.com Jochen

  • I wonder what exactly motivates this motivational $peaker? I betcha he's not doing this for free. The real purpose of this video is to find ways for someone to work their ass off for you and do it for the least possible dollar.

  • @confettistar

    You got that right comrade.

  • @confettistar he's not asking employees to do things for free.. he's saying employers should pay enough money to employees so that they do not need to think about the money but instead producing good work that they love. look around 4:20

  • this exactly what I've been thinking forever, I never understood economics until now.

  • paradigm changer

  • wow, this is so interesting!

  • this is one of the most pivotal talks i have ever heard in my life. i've listened to it over 5 times in the past few years since it came out. i'm surprised not more people know about this. but then again, most people are having trouble with alcoholism and being stupid. thinking that they'd function at a level to which this sort of knowledge is applicable is unreasonable.

  • this was awesome!

  • @CaesarBonaparte I thought it was great too! Thanks for the comment.
