The sound on the recurve is either loose bolts on the limbs or string slap on the limbs.I have a one piece samick stingray, great hunting bow.Just put on some limb savers, cat whiskers and brush buttons and your bow will be silent.
nice shooting i was wondering for the recurve, i was planing to buy the same one. does the arrow balance on your fist, or does it have a place to hold the arrow in place
@TheMHandDSfan Thanks! Both bows have an arrow rest. In traditional bows usually this arrow rest is protected with leather or felt to avoid damages to both the bow and the arrow feathers.
Korean, hungarian and many other (more) traditional recurves usually don't have an arrow rest so the arrow lays on your hand while you are aiming (I've never shot any of these bows).
The samick deermaster is a good bow for the price.
Nice shoot! What Samick bow is it? I have Samick Deermaster 60" 60#, and it looks almost same. Good bow for that price.. :) Also have Falco longbow 66" 67#. Grips are different, Samick has pistol grip and Falco has bigger straight grip. But both are good.
@Pikkuhande Thanks! Yes it's the same samick deermaster 60" 60# and I agree :) it's a good rate price/quality but in this video it was not tunned yet, but now is working nice. Wow! 67# it's a strong bow, I was very used to the pistol grip from the samick verna, and it took a while for me to get used to the straight grip. Thanks again for watching mate!
you mention the grip on you bow. i wont be having a leather grip so i have thought about this and made a choice of hemp twine/sting 3 or 4 mm as this is a natural material that is so hard wearing smooth to the touch but will give grip this will be whipped on the the bow. youtube vid ....How to Tie Boating Knots : How to Tie A Common Whipping Knot but no need for the needle or a hole just whipping.
nice vid mate! i like the speed up bits to edit it, quality touch mate.
nice shooting to. iv only let arrows go from an alloy recurve bow but i am brawn to the traditional archery with instinctive shooting and i am looking at the samick traditional rang, looks the best for quality and Affordability. is there much difference shooting a traditional bow? im undecided on long bow or recurve one piece mmm must get to my local club. nice vid thanks
@PiPphiltitley Sorry by the late answer. Thanks for the tips on the grip.
I've been shooting for just one year (Never take a bow before) and i'm not an expert. I like the samick recurve(deer master) but I started with a longbow (samick verna, now broken) and I'm more used to it. Now I'm shooting much more the longbow.
I will try that too. Thanks for the tips. I bought that take down as it is easier to carry in the car with the kids an family, but I don't like very much TDs.
Very good shooting. Try to change this bracehigh som higher. Also that spot where the string and limb contacts, you can add a piece of Velcro on the limb, under the string. (Small, just to silence se string contact to limbs. Greetings!

Hey Miguel
good to see you after a long time congrats to your new toy;)
a couple of good hits!
the recurve makes indeed strange noises, maybe would help these black stuff which sorbothane has on his Equus.
nice to see the sun and hear the birds;)
Lampi100 2 years ago
Thank you!!
Yep I can play heavy metal with that bow : )
I think I will try sorbothane's solution.
We had snow here too (only 3 or 4 days in my area) and a lot of rain, but the sun always come back to make the birds sing : ))
