I have used MAC foundation for contour and highlight as well. MAC foundation gives me this tightness and dryness during the day. I found that Bare Mineral foundation does not give me any problem and does not feel caking on my face nor showing the fine lines.
It feels light and the coverage is buildeable, my problem is they told me to set it and I bought powder but my skin doesn't set it and it just looks bad I'm not sure how else I'm going to set this one, any recommendations

The 1.0 is a perfect perfect match for me, even after it oxidizes a very very small bit, I'm almost porcelain white so NW15 is massively too dark. The only thing closely relevant to my skintone from mac is N3 studio fix powder. So i'm extremely excited for this foundation and i PRAY that it isn't discontinued anytime soon.
I'm an NC45 on Studio Fix, and a 7.0 with MatchMaster and I LOVE IT! OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Yeah, I get really oily at the end of the day, and begin to look like a light bolb (shiny) and with Match master I still looked like I just put my makeup. No shine, no nothin, no leaky face (sometimes my foundation would just rub off, eew) I LOVE THIS STUFF. It's just WOW, proud I got it. No regrets.

@luvurmakeup go on the mac website to the foundation part they have a survey so you can figure out what one is best for you. i also have extremely oily skin and need a matte finish (my face looks like an oil slick between 1-2 hours after putting makeup on, blotting ALL day) and it said matchmaster was the best for me. i'm gonna look at other reviews on here though...

This is AMAZING! 1.5 is equivalent to NW 15 and what's ironic is I'm not warm toned at all, I'm cool toned & I use NC20- close to my shade. It does personalize the subtleties of your own skin's undertone, the only downfall is - it's not my perfect shade but close! Perfect for ppl who have combination skin, oily T zone, & dry everywhere else. It goes on so soft & blends so well unlike the Pro Longwear. It lasts a long time & doesn't look very oily at the end of the day and it's very lightweight.

The guy in the Mac shop recommend this instead and it's amazing! Just the right match! Looks like i have nothing on my face! The girl at my MAC store gave me a sample of this, and I was pretty sceptical. I'm extremely pale and have to mix some from of white foundation with all anything I want to put on my face. But, I gave it a go and I was actually really impressed with how well it matched my colouring. Definitely going to be adding this one to my make up bag.

Just purchased it and the match was dead on!! I can't get over the color match and great semi matte and natural feel and look to it. You're right my tzone gets oily in a few hours but I will use blot powder next time. and you get more product bonus!!!
Remember MAC gives out samples of their products...so TRY before you buy!!!! I wear NC 45 and I really like this formula more than any MAC Foundation thus far!
@dimplezpink I have VERY oily skin...It generally lasts just as long as their other foundations. I start to get a little shiny about 6-8 hours later with little to no touch ups. But what do you use to control your oily skin?

@dimplezpink I use Clinique's liquid facial soap for oily skin, followed with Clarifying lotion#3, and depending on the time of year(like now my skin isn't AS oily as it had been during the summer) but currently I'm using Bobbi Browns hydrating Gel Cream<----love this stuff. Its $ but well worth it.
@divinitee98 i used that liquid soap too. but i didnt work for me. cuz i used proactiv before using that. then i went back to proactiv cuz no matter what i use i will break out if its not proactiv. made my skin worse if i dont use it. so i'm using step 1 and 3 on proactiv then tretinoin retin-A. it's effective cuz it dries out my pimples. i still don't know what moisturizer to use tho.
@8OBHRZ It does not feel heavy to me even when I build on it a bit to cover darker spots. It looks the same when I take it off at night as it did when I first applied. I should note I am a bit oily so I use MAC's oil control lotion and MAC's primer. I didn't start getting spots until adulthood, and I've been battling them for years. I've had Nars, MAC, MUFE, Bobbi Brown, Vichy Dermablend, Bare Minerals, etc, you name it, I've tried it. This is my HG!

Just bought this foundation. I absolutely love it! I tried all of their foundations. My favorite select SPF, NC50. MatchMaster 7.5 is light and covers nicely. My skin looks even and natural. It seems like I have no make up on.
The MAC makeup artist yesterday actually color matched me to my chest instead of just my neck! I was thinking...yes, she matched me the Wayne way! :) I knew I could trust her after that...haha.
I'm wearing this foundation for the first time today with the MAC Careblend powder to set it. It covers pretty well, I only needed a litle concealer, yet looks really natural, almost like I'm not wearing makeup. I did get pretty shiny mid-morning, but I have oily skin and it is like a sauna outside in FL today. I just used a blotting sheet, and the makeup didn't budge. I think I'm really going to love this foundation and powder duo in the cooler months when it's not so humid! :)
I am a c7 in the studio fix plus foundation also a nc45 I have very yellow undertones and both suit me well. I am glad to see the consistency in the labeling of colors for this product. How does it fair on oily skin?

@AlexanderMcQLove Hi there, I'm a makeup artist myself.. You could go with 1.5 or even 2.0.. Both are meant to work with nw20 skin. Seeing how NW20 isn't a perfect match, hopefully this will be the jackpot! Although I can't see your face or skin tone...if a mac artstist tries to tell you a 3.0 is suitable...Just stick with the choices I gave you. :) Cheers n happy painting :)

I have to disagree with you comment about how the foundation responds to fine lines. This product worked wonderfully with my laugh lines... most products I've used in the past Nar Sheer Glo, Bobbi Brown, Iman etc in a few hours separate creating a homer simpson-esque look. Matchmaster does a better job of maintaining coverage in this area. I'm very happy with this foundation, it gives my skin a beautiful finish especially when used w/ MAC's mineralise skinfinish powder.
I like Goss but this is really a bad review. If anybody else did it, it would not have nearly the views. Basically he just goes on about the colors being neutral... no view of the product, or on his skin (even if just for demonstration purposes), how to apply it, etc.

You can look @ the bottle and tell that the foundation isn't for the oily folks...lol. It just looks like it has a lot of emollients in it. I'm African American, dark skin and can wear NW45 (in the summer NW47) and I have reddish undertones. I actually don't use MAC foundation anymore but I was just giving you an idea of my coloring. Its very hard for me to find a a neutral shade foundation.
Nc are really yellow?! well they're not yellow enough for me :( that's why i'm investing in color adjusters because there is not one single foundation that match my yellow-green undertone

Well I use to at one time long ago have an affair with MAC cosmetics, but my skin suffered...nothing but breakouts with Mac and me...ever since i dumped them and stop purchasing their products (except for MSF's) my skin is gorgeous! Everytime I went in and they would "TRY" to match me up, seriously I would always come out with diferrent colors....sucks!!!

Match guide might be a bit off.... I can wear nc45 but matchmaster 7.0 is/looks too light yet matchmaster 7.5 looks to be the better fit for me.

I'd like to know if this foundation photographs true to colour please? I hate getting the dreaded "ghost-mask" in photos...

Got Samples yesterday and trying to decide on best color. You are terrific! I purchased the Philosophy primer you recommended and LOVE it! Try to follow all your tips. I am 62 years old and I feel that all the videos you do are appropriate for all ages...unlike some others which are geared for under 30. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You are the BEST!

Just bought this foundation. I absolutely love it! I tried all of their foundations. My favorite select SPF, NC50. MatchMaster 7.5 is light and covers nicely. My skin looks even and natural. It seems like I have no make up on.

The MAC makeup artist yesterday actually color matched me to my chest instead of just my neck! I was thinking...yes, she matched me the Wayne way! :) I knew I could trust her after that...haha.

I'm wearing this foundation for the first time today with the MAC Careblend powder to set it. It covers pretty well, I only needed a litle concealer, yet looks really natural, almost like I'm not wearing makeup. I did get pretty shiny mid-morning, but I have oily skin and it is like a sauna outside in FL today. I just used a blotting sheet, and the makeup didn't budge. I think I'm really going to love this foundation and powder duo in the cooler months when it's not so humid! :)

I am a c7 in the studio fix plus foundation also a nc45 I have very yellow undertones and both suit me well. I am glad to see the consistency in the labeling of colors for this product. How does it fair on oily skin?

I have a really light skin tone but it's both yellow and pink which one do you suggest me? I actually use a studio tech NW 20 and it suits me okay but not perfectly!

@AlexanderMcQLove Hi there, I'm a makeup artist myself.. You could go with 1.5 or even 2.0.. Both are meant to work with nw20 skin. Seeing how NW20 isn't a perfect match, hopefully this will be the jackpot! Although I can't see your face or skin tone...if a mac artstist tries to tell you a 3.0 is suitable...Just stick with the choices I gave you. :) Cheers n happy painting :)

He's just saying that those are nice cause they are pretty neutral as opposed as very yellow or very pink in MAC foundations.

I have to disagree with you comment about how the foundation responds to fine lines. This product worked wonderfully with my laugh lines... most products I've used in the past Nar Sheer Glo, Bobbi Brown, Iman etc in a few hours separate creating a homer simpson-esque look. Matchmaster does a better job of maintaining coverage in this area. I'm very happy with this foundation, it gives my skin a beautiful finish especially when used w/ MAC's mineralise skinfinish powder.

I like Goss but this is really a bad review. If anybody else did it, it would not have nearly the views. Basically he just goes on about the colors being neutral... no view of the product, or on his skin (even if just for demonstration purposes), how to apply it, etc.

You can look @ the bottle and tell that the foundation isn't for the oily folks...lol. It just looks like it has a lot of emollients in it. I'm African American, dark skin and can wear NW45 (in the summer NW47) and I have reddish undertones. I actually don't use MAC foundation anymore but I was just giving you an idea of my coloring. Its very hard for me to find a a neutral shade foundation.

Nc are really yellow?! well they're not yellow enough for me :( that's why i'm investing in color adjusters because there is not one single foundation that match my yellow-green undertone

I wonder if MAC will come up with a matchmaster concealer as well? I've been loving their Longwear concealer for blemishes and acne scars because it's lightweight and covers so well, but I don't really like the colour. I'm considering mixing NC and NW but that's fussy and costly.

My biggest problem is oily skin. It looked like I could fry an egg on my forehead. Now it's much better by using moisturizer, and a good primer. I still get it on my nose. I think I will try this product in store first.

Hey can u plzzzz do a video on powders... which are the best brand/product? esp for oily skin. An what ones do Not cause that white overcast in photos? Well I use to at one time long ago have an affair with MAC cosmetics, but my skin suffered...nothing but breakouts with Mac and me...ever since i dumped them and stop purchasing their products (except for MSF's) my skin is gorgeous! Everytime I went in and they would "TRY" to match me up, seriously I would always come out with diferrent colors....sucks!!!
