I love him but I don't know his name. I have heard some of Bach's by him and thay were better than any other!

I don't like the style of his interpretation, honestly.

The initial figuration (which gets epeated over and over) is basically like an unfolding harpsichord arpeggio and should (in my opinion) be played with more freedom. This version is just too mechanical for my taste, sorry.

Great to hear Koopman's interpritation.

This sounds just right, although it sounds nice slow, i think this speed is probably closer to what j.s's might have been like, the melody needs to be heard.

I gusti sono gusti, e qui non si discute, ma io continuo a trovare Koopman del tutto inespressivo e freddo.

@musichiere70 sì, meglio metterla sui gusti... visto che anche in questa discussione c'è chi lo trova espressivo e chi no. Ma addirittura detestabile... pensare questo del più grande conoscitore, esecutore, filologo della musica di Bach... questo è detestabile!
