  • i agree with you my dad wanted to put me to do the first comunion because my grandma told him but then i asked him questions he couldnt answer about the bible and i am finally free from that bullshit.

  • Well I think God should correct his errors and rewrite the Bible. Or better yet let Goddess teach us to understand our true nature and just realize that the Bible was really written by a man who thought he was a priest of somekind, seeking power of somekind over someone else.

  • @Ernieadv Amen!

  • One man's theology is another man's belly laugh.

    Robert A. Heinlein

If you could reason with religious people, there would be no religious people.

  • MtlRedAtheist, in regards to your question about the reality of Creation, you're correct, there is no hard evidence, it's all a matter of faith. For a long time i tried to figure out the strange and mysterious things of the Bible, but it didn't make any sense. But ever since that day, 29 years ago when i cried out to God to forgive me, He kind of opened my eyes to what it means to have faith like a little child. I'm not a religious guy, I'm just one who had his eyes opened by God.

  • Yes, I understand your anology of the playpen, which makes perfect sense. But, God gave man freewill, wich is the freedom of choice between Good and Evil. Even though Adam & Eve may not have known any better, they still had freewill. They still had the freedom to choose between right & wrong. Although, I understand your point, because God already knew the outcome of their choices. This is just my belief, I believe that maybe God was hoping Adam & Eve would choose to obey him.

  • @OMFGitsLINDZ Hi, thanks for commenting. I think that is awesome your teacher showed this in a religion class today. That is funny! About what you said, "Even though Adam & Eve may not have known any better, they still had freewill." What good is free will if they didn't know right from wrong? How can you give someone the choice while withholding the knowledge of good and evil, and then punish them for unwittingly choosing evil? Seems unfair.

  • Its funny, because my teacher actually showed this video in religion class today. As you can telll, i go to a private Catholic High School. So, yes I do believe in God, and everything tht he has done. Although, while watching this, I do understand some of your points in the video, about how tht God knew the outcome of Eve and Adam's decisions. Basically, your saying that you think God is to blame the fall of man. Although, I disagree. I believe that it was Adam & Eve to blame

  • @OMFGitsLINDZ Curious, was there any discussion on this in your religion class? I think that's pretty cool.

  • @MtlRedAtheist Yup, he like showed this to us. Afterwards, he asked our thoughts. Actually, most of my class agreed with most of your points, and that alot of them make sense. Even though we all still believe in God and his goodness, we still wonder about this points too.

  • @OMFGitsLINDZ Well, that's awesome. Keep thinking about this stuff. Don't let anyone tell you how to think. Whatever you conclude in the end, it will be the result of careful consideration. Take care. :)

  • MtlRed, I, too, used to wonder how all these things could be true. But, on the day that I was born again, i began to see that the story of creation, and everything else in the Bible is true. We don't understand all of it and we may not agree with it, but that does not change the reality of it. Once you are born again, God opens your eyes to the truth. Prior to that it makes no sense to us. Please don't give up on Him. He has not given up on you. Repent of your sins & ask Him to save you.

  • @heyjclay Hi heyjclay, thanks for your reply. How do you know it is a "reality"? Did you come across some evidence that the Creation story is true? Do you think it was fair for God, in this story, to setup Adam and Eve to fail like that, considering the resulting suffering?

  • I also had to analyze this story when I had to go to confirmation, I had so many questions about this story in particular that even my pastor couldn't answer most of them.

what made me particularly angry was how sexist god was to eve. I strongly respect women and see them as equals and it was confusing to realize that my so called "good" god was a sexist and basically said that all women should obey men.

anyway great videos. you, my good sir, have earned yourself a new subscriber :)

  • @UbinTimor I hear you. Thanks for the positive vibes.

    Peace,

    Red

  • I remember when I had to sit and listen to this nonsense when I was kid, even at school we would be forced to go off school grounds for bible study (conveniently located might I add) I never really understood why god would let all that happen and be surprised that it happened being that he is an all knowing god. this (and so many more reasons) is why I decided to not believe in fairy tales anymore.

  • SUB FOR PLAY PEN ANALOGY WHICH I WILL USE.

    THANKS.

  • @billygundum Feel free to use the analogy as you please. No need to sub, unless you're interested in the vids :)

    Peace,

    Red

  • LOL the first prohibition FAILED !!!!! they have all failed

  • Best. Video. Ever.

  • All your science doesn't matter at the end... It will be worthless... Go head and do your theory's.. But When God comes it will be the MOST beautiful and the MOST extremely horrible thing you will ever see... It just depends which side of the gate you'll be on..

  • L O L you are programmed well

religion is nothing more than a way to control the public and make them think and act the way the government wants.

if there is a god ... hes definitely nothing like the bible describes him. If he is .... he can go fuck himself hes a evil piece of trash

  • ALL KNOWING GOD: "aww, my bad dude. guess you might need a little company. didn't quite think that through"

ADAM: "yeah, kinda lonely down here"

ALL KNOWING GOD: "right on man. i'll see what i can do"

    ADAM: "thanks god"

ALL KNOWING GOD: "no problem... gimme your rib"

    ADAM: "WHAT THE FUCK ?!?!?!"

  • WIN!!!

  • Just found your videos. I've been doing a whole set of videos on Adam & Eve. Glad to see another former creationist atheist on YouTube :)

  • Bullshit is why crusades are waged, resulting in genocide.

  • Well this proves one thing...Christens are Legalists

  • It was an unfair test. Adam and Eve were really infants, even if God gave them the body and intelligence of adults, they still didn't have the life experience necessary for making wise choices.

  • That's right, even in my Christian days, I always wondered why God would withhold the knowledge of good and evil from them and then punish them for doing "evil," when they had no clue. So sadistic.

  • Um. You took the Bible literally? Most Christians are not fundamentalist. I myself believe otherwise. I think that humans only existed for 6-8000 yrs. It's merely symbolic and metaphorical IMO. I also believe that you can get into heaven if you've never heard the gospel just by believing in God. I respect your opinions, but I think it's bullshit that people come in here and take your words for truth. That's the same as a person believing in everything about Christianity without any afterthought

  • pakismyname, thanks for commenting. I do not take the Bible to be the truth, so no worries there. I commend you for not being a fundamentalist as you say and for not taking the Bible literally. My question to you would be, how do you, distinguish between what is metaphorical and what is to be taken literal?

  • Historical evidence is the best way to confirm. Almost any historian will agree that Jesus Christ did in fact exist. You have to put things into that kind of light and decide for yourself. I respect your decision to be an atheist, and you have some solid arguments here. I just think most of the Bible is symbolic. But then again I am a very liberal Christian. ie I think that if somebody is completely isolated and looks at nature, believes it was the work of a god, then he will go to heaven.

  • Really? only 8000 years. Homo Sapiens Sapiens have been around for a lot longer than that. More like 80,000-100,000 years ago. There were also other human forms before that too.

  • Sorry. I meant that Eden was only 6-8000 years old. The sediments of the two existing rivers mentioned in Genesis only go back that far. Homo sapiens sapiens go back about 200,000 years. The Adam and Eve story is about the first settlements of man, which historically occurred at about that time. Cain and Abel is about rules and morals in these settlements and how some went back to being hunter gatherers. I disagree with this vid because I disagree that the story is about the origins of man.

  • @pakismyname Let me get this straight. God sent his only son to earth to suffer and die on the cross for a metaphor?

  • BULLSHIT indeed.

The people who wrote the bible were no different than today's taliban . Twisted morality.

Whats really sickening is the fact that people still can be brainwashed into believing this shit.

    Great vid!

  • Please, point out how this video is hate speech. Please point out the "lies, lies and more lies." If anything is false in this video it will be my duty to correct it, but I have a feeling that because you dislike the content, you are claiming it is what it isn't. However, I await your answers. Please do it publicly as a reply to this.

You also assert that Jesus died to atone. I haven't been able to validate that age old claim, so please provide the evidence.

  • my favorite part is when you said it needs to be banned, and THEN said you were a fundamentalist.

    like it wasnt obvious

  • @isaiahj21 Yeah! Free speech, but ONLY for the Religious Right. Don't you know the First Amendment is written only for Christians BY Christians? LOL!

  • great videos !

  • Grrreeeaaatttt!!!!!!!!

I love the last quote, "BULLSHIT!"

  • Lovely conclusion.

  • Just a little more information for your video subscribers. In Genesis 3:9 But the Lord God called to the man. "Where are you?" What the hell is this from an omniscient god. Again, as always sounds like man made bullshit.

  • I struggled with the exact same thoughts when hearing the story of adam and eve in church. I think by far the most disturbing aspect of christianity though is the brutal concept of hell. How can a person who calls himself/herself a christian live a happy life and sing their worship songs to God every sunday while simultaneously believing in their hearts that it is the same God who has damned the vast majority of humanity to an eternal torment of hopelessness?

  • Yeah, that is what Isay, when Christians tell me I'm arrogant, or when they are offended by my opinions. I just say, "You are offended? You are the one who sings praises to the person you believe is going to through me in hell to suffer relentless torment for eternity simply for not believing in him, despite the complete lack of evidence. Who should be offended?"
