I'm not a big fan of Naruto...but I feel like the whole Makalov/Astrid relationship is the equivalent to Naruto/Hinata. Naruto - failure of a ninja with a bright orange jumpsuit. Makalov - failure of a knight with bright orange armor. Hinata - shy girl, daughter of the head of the hyuga clan. Astrid - shy girl, blueblooded noble. Iunno, it's what it always struck me as.

Also, about Astrid. They completely ruined her both stat wise and story wise. Making her fall in love with Malakov? Really? What the hell were they thinking? She was BOSS in PoR, then they just absolutely ruin her in RD. When I first got her, I was excited to see her destroy people again, but no, her stats are shit. Then I see her marrying Malakov? Ugh, IS, why did you have to destroy Astrid?

This song, in a sense, makes me feel alone.

Such a pretty song, yet so much meaning behind it that will be lost to many that don't understand when the song comes in the story.

They really need to make Fire Emblem into a book series so those that hate video games can also share the fun of the stories.

Shut up, if you took the time to level her up like I did, maybe you wouldn't think the same. She's not bad at all when you take the time to level her up.

And anyway I leveled absolutely ever character in the game, each-one-of-them. Why? Because I see the characters for their story, for what they are, not for their stats. They all fight together to face threats together. None is left back on the bench, as each one of these characters have a purpose in battle to my eyes.

I can't bring myself to hate any character in the Fire Emblem series, at least on the protagonists side.

I understand it is a game. It's simply that I consider Radiant Dawn as being more than a game, as it is one of the few games that really got me into the story and it's epic adventure. I love this game so much!

Unless you constantly Battle Save, and re-do level ups until she gets good stats (Easy/Normal mode only) she ends up pretty bad, usually. It's kinda sad, she's one of my favourite units...

Astrid is SUXORZ in RD. Seriously, 15 defence by level 1 Silver Knight? Her portrait looks like a Barbie doll? She's in love with damn Makalov, who's deep-six in debt?

Astrid in PoR though was goddess. She was at level 1, giving lots of room to level up, good growths, and to make her even more broken, Paragon.

For anyone who's opposed to the Paragon part of PoR Astrid, remember that PoR isn't RD, where you can freely shift skills around. If you take Paragon off of Astrid, it's gone.

Astrid is probably one of the worst characters in the game. Hell, she's probably worse than goddamn Meg. Ike took her bases, Haar took her availability, and Gatrie took her growths. At least she still has Paragon... for us to take and give to Elincia. Seriously, an incredibly shitty character for a variety of reasons outside of her portrait (where she looks stoned.). Actually, it might be a message from IS saying, "Don't do drugs kids, or you'll end up like Astrid".

I always train her properly since shes the only SS archer-rider in the game.

Give her a long bow plus +9 paladin movement plus hit-n-run ability and she will be able to feather every enemy on sight while keep untouched.

In PoR in the chapter you get her she usually dies the first turn if you don't send your units to cover her. Which sucks.

But I must admit, in RD she's very good.

@Yviman any character you want can become close to indestructible, just give him/her preference XD. I like to use Astrid, but no because she becomes invinsible in the end, actually I think I.S nerfed her a lot compare to FE 9 ( both in growths and caps) I use her because she is cute and funny to train and use, but that can happen with anyone you want/like XD

This song is actually sad when I think about it. It's only used at the bases of Part 4 to show the heavy dose of Order in the world due to Ashera's awakening and judgement. The Order is the result of the lack of Chaotic that people naturally exert. Yet for all the soothingness and calmness this song evokes it, as Tibarn said, isn't supposed to be like this. Too much of a good thing can indeed be a bad thing.

dude, Astrid is a beast in Radiant Dawn, the only stats she didn't max in my third playthrough was mag and defense, everything else was perfect, and Nolan was pretty beastly too, in fact, everybody that i trained was beastly :)
