Hey everybody who is giving me negative on my comments. I was NOT criticising her for her jokes, I am on her side. I think it was very brave of her to come out & admit she is alcoholic, I commend her for that being a performer which makes her a public figure &raising a family of 5 kids. Please don't take what I said as derogative - believe me I am on HER SIDE & wish her well on the road to recovery. Good on her for telling everyone & for getting help, I have admiration for her. Ironic to be making jokes about alcohol as she now is in hospital after collapsing on stage drunk & admitting to being an alcoholic. Kind of makes this performance sad not funny.
Very true & laughing about it may just help with recovery. Its not an easy road but with friends around her & the public behind her she can do it.She did very well on Dancing with Stars & so close to confessing to her problem. Life has to go on, recovery has to go on & I hope whatever led her to drinking can be resolved. The good thing about her,there are no airs & graces-she's natural & that comes across in her comedy. A likeable person, a real Aussie & lets hope we see more of her in 2010.
