At the intruder excluder (stage 8), while using the yellow bat, he could destroy anything (all the yellow things, the yellow balls, the mechanical fans, the things that create poisonous gas and even the gas) with the bat or even with a headbutt.

man this is 1 bad ass game that is difficult in many parts.nintendo needs go keep doing innovation but go back to having and making difficult games on their systems.2 many easy games now that i've become a casual gamer from a lack of real challenge :(

I'm glad I never got past the racing stage. I mean, there are hard games, and there is BattleToads. It seriously is so much bullshit it's unbelievable... but as other comments have said, I still have good memories of it for some reason!

It's fun how this game is considered one of the toughest games ever, yet so many people have so many good memories related to it. I was one of the many who never completed the game, but I had so much fun with it. The Turbo Tunnel was hell with friends, but really fun to play too. Something about Battletoads was very special, while being difficult it was still entertaining. Props to Rare for another great game.

i gotta say outside of sin and punishment 2 have i seen today as good as the kind of level design and innovation thats found in this game.that is the only reason i kept watching this video to the end,the layout of each stage and its design blew me away and the challenges that came from the level design.few game developers know how to make the design of a stage an additional enemy and threat to the hero(es) of the game.damn rare was on it and i applaud them

This game i used to have on my NES, it was very difficult. Never got further after the racing part. Always got very angry about it of not completing and almost destroyed my joypad back in the days :P

actually this was my first time getting past the ice zone, usually i would go through the time warp on the hoverthings but since its a longplay i got to do every level, it was also the first time i beat the game

i used savestates, its just that i used an emulator that can rerecord, it would record the input of what i do, then i play back the input and record the playback, this was also the first time i beat the game, and got past the level after the snake pit
