this appalling vice-chancellor is pushing through highly deleterious changes against the wishes of staff and students. as an expert in bowel disease he ideally qualified for such work. his latest scheme is to abolish the long-standing outreach and adult education centre whilst claiming that management upholds the 'traditions of sussex'. nothing could be further than the truth. it is particularly painful to read about the 50th birthday while such wholesale and destructive changes continue.
