afternoon and the guy is still on his pj's jajajajaj (recent cut offs in the office dude?) ... i have a JRT they LOVE this kind of training... by far the best breed... i recently bought a bull terrier... jesus! i got frustrated with so much dumbness
My dog could probably do that but not a quick and great as Louise, just now he is jumping 3ft and jumping 4ft spreads but he doesn't get how to go over the table? or under lol!
she's adorable, and so clever!!! My JRT girl is not that well trained, but she does a few tricks! wish I had the space to have a set up like yours to train her more!
She is absolutely gorgeous. I have a 1yr old Jacky and he is such a loyal little fella. We also have a 1yr old mini foxie and they are the best of mates, and are never far from each other.
I am Impressed, that was a great show of your JRT's skills. My JRT is 5 yrs old now and although he can't do many tricks, he still is a great little Buddy, I would love to be able to train him to do tricks. I will keep an out for more Vids With your JRT.
thats tight, i have a JRT that i wanna train but i think she's too old she is 4 yrs, all she can do is catch a ball and sit, but she is a very smart dog, i bet if i could get her to follow a stick she would be good, any good books or websites that you used?
Scooter, my Jack Russell, says that this looks like WORK... he says of course he could do all this and more if he wanted to, but why sweat when you can wrestle with the cats or patrol the fence line to make sure no intruders, like deer or armadillos, enter the yard?
Yep, Scooter is a very cool dude, today he's wearing his fashionable red bandana. I love your video and will use it as an inspiratio for training Scooter. How old was Louise in these videos; when did you start training her to do tricks? Scooter has one main trick: smiling a huge grin on command.
In this video Louise was about 9 months. But I started training her when she was about 6 months. Im glad you enjoyed the video and i hope it helps you for training your dog. Good luck and bye
Wow what a talented JRT do you have her competing in Agility Competions??? She is incredible looks like a Blue Ribbon winner to me. I have a JRT he's cute but he doesn't do what your baby does. Your excellent trainer, I really enjoyed this video 5 stars!!!
JACK RUSSELLS RULE !!! brillaint video and training. Now have a little Jack with a Great Dane, guess who is boss ? used to have a Jack Russell called Douglas, taught that little dog to count by teaching to bark on command and to raise an eye brow when I wanted him to stop, therefore could add, subtract and multiply !!!! what a genius
you can. thing about jacks their 1st 2 or 3 tricks is the hardest part because of all their energy. but once they do understand they get much easier to train because they apply that energy to the training. they become like "ok we got that trick down on to the next trick?" I don't know this guy or his fine dog but i bet he agrees with me. oh and by the way you have done a magnificent job with Louise! is she your 1st JRT?
hi there, no louise is not in any agility course team, but shes quite agile. shes an excellent dog, is very fun to train jack russels, they can learn incredible tricks. bye
I have a jack russel myself, it's actually a mixture between god knows what... but they are so intelligent, curious, courageous and big menaces! but u gotta love em for it
louise learnt to follow the stick when she was about 5 months , she just followed it because she wanted to play with it and bite it. So it became the stick to make her complete all the tricks on the video. You should try and do it
Wow, Louise is a very awsome JRT! I have a JRT myself as well! Aren't they the best dogs ever? How long did it take you to train Louise to do that, kuddos to you for taking so much time into doing that and Louise, from these videos, Louise loves it huh?
It took 4 months to teach her to doo all the tricks, she loves playing with the stick or any object that moves. she learnt by herself for the training. Each time she did it ok , i prized her with food
Hahha, yes don't all JRT's love to chase anything that moves? I'll have to make another video of my JRT, Kirbey, with pictures of her jumping into the pool and such. To me its a hoot to watch. I'm sure Louise loves to get into your pool huh?
Louise loves to get into my poool, shes an excellent swimmer. I have already videotaped, louise sesssions 2, but it still needs more tricks on it. bye
Seriously, you did a great job training your JRT. Also, great job with the video (love the song).
My brother has a JRT, and "Casey" can do quite a few tricks too-I think because they are so smart, ppl pleasers, and have ALL that energy, they are fun to train!
Love the ending where he? talks to you.
After that workout, did he get to lounge by the pool?
yes, she went straight down to swim in the pool. She is also an excellent swimmer tooo. Im glad you liked the video , and thanks for watching it. good luck, and jacks rock bye
A very well trained Jack Russell. Did you use the "target" method? I have 3 jacks and a husky. When most people consider a dog a nuisance or hyper, they don't realize that the dog just wants to learn something new and keep busy. You can see that he is the Happiest Jack in the world with a job like that. I love Jacks!
aaaaaaa..... i love this dog!!!!! so cool, and you're such a gdr8 owner, 'cause you take care of your doggy and pay so much attention to it and spend time and train her so well... i want to buy the same dog.. they r small and soo clever and no problem with the hair, tell me is it difficult to look after it?
You just need to pay attention to them and good care only. It is not a difficult dog to look after. Im glad you enjoyed the video and i hope you buy one of these excellent dogs. Bye and thanks for watching my video.
You walk her 3 times a week?? I know they are small dogs but dogs need exercise everyday. I also have a short legged, female JRT and walking together is a greta bonding time.
The "shorty" jack russells, also called "puddin'" jacks are the english version, or the original version of the dog, bred to be hunters and go underground to aid the hunters in flushing out the quarry, that's why they are short legged. They are incredibly fast, agile and smart!!! Awesome dog! I have an amazing puddin' jack too! Very athletic dogs, require lots of walking!!!
Thank you very much for watching the video. Im glad you enjoyed it. The treats i use is play with her throwing a ball and patting her belly. Im from Argentina, Buenos Aires. It is a short legged Jack Russel, shes a female and i walk her three times a week.

Awesome video. Just one coment though. Has your jrt fallen or gotten hurt on your course? His confidence seems to be low on the high platforms and such.
They're smart as you already know, and if they don't feel safe or if the platform doesn't seem stable (in particular the high ones) they'll hesitate. If you ever decide to enter into competitions judges notice this.
I recomend perhaps building a more permanent or modular structure?
