@lesengir I have changed my sign in name. I'm sorry for the delay in replying to yiour email. Yes, Sinatra is on youtube with this beautiful song. Both versions are stunning, but, I have to say, as much as I love Jo stafford, Sinatra's version has a depth of feeling typical of his approach to such wonderfully written pieces. I hope you enjoy it.
Lovely dreamy version but cant help but I agree with Ynot 1666, Jessie owns it. Jessie Matthew's version seems to me a little more magical and makes my world oh so lyrical..
Don't let's forget that this was Jessie Matthews's signature number from the early 1930s. Jessie was a fabulous dancer, not perhaps the greatest singer but she owns this song as far as as I am concerned.
That said, this a terrific rendering - the best I've ever heard. I just don't want Jessie Matthews to be forgotten.
Chester, this is the best version of this song I've ever heard - better even than Ella herself. Do you have any idea why it starts after the first stanza of the song? The other versions I've heard all begin with "The world is lyrical/ because a miracle/ has brought my lover to me..."
@schnellguy , you are absolutely right she was in a league of her own, never to be beaten by any female vocalist - I'm so glad she is still with us and always will be, we love you Jo - the angels must be so happy to have you with them. See you later dear lady and thank you for all you gave us. Voldpilot

Jessie Matthews version more magical than this one? Only the most devoted Matthews fan can think so.
