Theres a soldering defect in most Nvidia cards.

It does not become apparent until a certain amount of thermal cycles happen and the soldering cracks. The high lead soldering under the GPUs is quite prone to the effects of thermal stress.

The best way to fix it is to bake it in your oven, middle rack, 400 degrees, preheat it for 5 minutes, it takes 8-12 minutes to bake, with 10 being optimal, take screws off the card and the heatsink then clean the thermal paste. Let it cool for an hour.

you want to bake the card with the GPU and memory chips facing down over a cookie sheet or aluminum or a thin pan, it doesn't matter but proper it over a few balls of aluminum.

Powered off the card is unaffected by the heat (unless you overbake) and it may correct issues with the capacitors too. The solder liquefies and then reforms re-aligning the chips to the PCB and once it cools good as new.

This often corrects the rare defective card that is usually RMA'd instead.

you should add 4xS (2x MS AA + 2x1 SS AA) to 8xS (4x MS AA + 2x1 SS AA) AA (Combined modes), it makes the game look good lol.

I win! I have a 32 bit Windows Vista and run this on a nVidia Geforce FX 5200...barely. I literally have everything down to ultra low. Needless to say, I don't need torches or anything. It's as if dungeons, caves, and forts all have superior electric lighting. Or that's what I tell myself as my character moves like a slideshow. You know, I don't think Daggerfall would even run well on my computer.

all those who look at the minimum system requirements when buying this game; forget it. u need AT LEAST the RECOMMENDED requirements to play this game or its gonna be: OMG lolzor so slow. have this game on my father's PC and working fine. on my own comp this game is UBER slow even on baddets quality and meets all recommended reqs xpect video card. Guys GT nvidia graphic cards aren't for games like oblivion better for games like bioshock one way only man not a big world when you load it once it is loaded and as far as you see you can go there.I use ATI it is great for games like this and i have PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 mb GDDR4 but he is not working on full if you know what do i mean i want to know ,can my graphic card conflict with my biostar i 2 gb memory and 2gh in the processor but i have 2 of processors can anyone help???

it depends on your screen resolution. but at a low res of 1024x768 it's better to go with higher speed memory like the GDDR w/ 256mb instead of low speed, high capacity like your GDDR2 512mb.

What resolution are you running the game at? Also, keep in mind you have a single core processor, which very well may be bottlenecking your 8600. It is only a single core acting like a dual core that will bottleneck the card. Other than that, I could only see the resolution of the game being the issue. As long as you don't push it too far past 1024x768, the card should handle fine.

Continuation from last post - I Overclocked it to 640/523 also but with this clock i get artifacts *White dots in 3d Gaming* Like in NFSPS I play on 1024x768 all maxxed out no aa. and get 25-70FPS while in carbon i play 1280x1024 all maxxed out plus max AA and i get 25-50 Fps Only Even the The requirments are 3 times lower!

If anyone Could help me It would be greatly appriciated
