I was actually talking about the V for Vendetta movie clip.
It's the cenimatic equivalent of a botched abortion. Three thousand people in identical costumes all following the orders of one man, yeah, THAT'S anarchy . . .
Other than that, though, these videos are excellent. Thanks for uploading them. I guess I should quit bickering about the images and just listen to the interview, lol.
The acting and accent by Heather Graham is atrocious, among other things. And we all know that tthe main protagonist of the book is a bald, tubby man, and in the film he is played by Johnny Depp, sans the baldness and the weight.
It really is an awful film. And the worst thing about it is it is so very boring.
@Stonegolem42 I enjoyed the movie, personally, but I can see your point. It's an enjoyable watch imo, and very cool and stylish, but story-wise it has nothing on the comic upon which it was based, and the creators seem to have missed the point completely
what is the "recent work" he talks about (referring to ...i will be a terrifying street person, and frighten EVERYBODY! Not just criminals!) Because thats the funniest thing ive ever heard
He's an ex-gangster who used to work with the Kray twins. He pops up on TV here every now and again as if all has been forgiven. The loveable murderer...
@mst3k92 He was an extremely dangerous man who worked with the Kray twins and their rivals, the Richardson gang, led by Charlie Richardson. The Kray twins became famous gangsters-everyone knew what they did, but they were respected for it. Indeed, they counted celebrities among their closest friends.
The twins are dead now, but people don't seem able to let go of the romantically-portrayed gangsters, and so men like Frankie Frasier are given publicity instead, and despite their crimes
thats ridiculous. when alan explains how he thought the film would end up and the film clip is identical to how he thought. cant blame him for not wanting to see it but i hope he would see watchmen. i thought it was so much better than it might have been. i would hope he might watch and even enjoy it
I did read somewhere that, while his stance on film versions of his work will not change, Moore did read the script they used for the Watchmen movie and said that it was a good adaptation of the comic. But he still won't see it. He hates it out of principal. Ya gotta admire his dedication on that, but I think that he should just get over it and go see the damn thing already. He might be surprised at how good it actually is. Just my opinion.
Its because it was a movie that he hated it. He never intended for his comics to become films. I understand it perfectly, if something works well then it doesnt need to be done again, even in a new form of media.
I understand his position on the matter (after the way they butchered the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen who wouldn't), I just don't wholly agree with it that's all.
you know its a shame that your point is so valid....I mean its gotten to the point that video games are taken seriously and are battled in court constantly for various things. the last time you heard anything about comics in the media lwas when captain america died. But Alan morre did a fantastic Job at attempting this feat and many people have read his Graphic novels and his only and love them, while looking down upon the comic genre, so in a sense he succeeded. Kinda.
I love this, and so far I only have issue with 1:07
Why, in God's name, did you put THAT in here? You've harmed what's otherwise a perfect video.

Simply because "mad" Franky Fraiser is a monster totally undeserving of any fame... I found myself getting angry just looking at his face...
Sorry about that...

I totally agree. I hate that film too.

I was maybe going to watch that movie, but I'll not bother if hollywood have ruined it. I've seen enough contrived movieland interpretations.
Cheers!

@Stonegolem42 Anarchy is about freedom from state, not inability to agree with someone.

hmmmm.....they're not going to convince any non-comic fans that comics can be a valid adult form of entertainment are they?
