I always did my best to avoid using white elements. He would always counter with the conducta rod technique. That move annoyed the hell outta me. lol

I fought him before the dragons and it took a lot of time to win =P (And lots of atempts)

It is. I managed to beat him before I even fought any of the Dragons. It's usually nearly impossible to beat Dario until AFTER you beat the Dragons and yo have the Black Plate. But I did it. And Mastermune equipped on Lynx absolutely DESTROYED the dragons. :P

Mastermune with Serge is better. Higher critical rate.

an easy way to beat him before any of the dragons is to simply equip alot of Red element attacks. attack with 6 level 1 attacks and then use one, and repeat this with every character. He might attack once in the beginning, but if done right will only cast Numble the entire fight

Beat him in a normal New game with Glenn alone... he's not too hard if you have alot of green and red, he'll just counter with LoRes/Numble, then go physical on him (I think I was at Lv37 or something), I was almost outta Elements, I must say that a close (if that happens, you're screwed)

Hahaha! I had the same exact party in the same exact order.

Also, by some miracle, I managed to kill him without the black plate on my first try lol. I also never played riddel so i didn't bother equipping her with an element, so it was 2v1.

The best part: in the end, fargo and riddel died and lynx's revive was already used up... so it was a showdown with

Lynx vs. Dario; I managed to kill the sucker with my #3 attack, which managed to do around 101-104.

(me) lol. I think that's because that's the best choice to use, story-wise at least, though it actually makes no difference. The feeling that it does though is what makes it important. Karsh probably should have actually replaced Fargo maybe but we all know Fargo is a lot cooler. ^^ Radius would have been a good choice too. I don't think any other people would really have quite fitted in there... not even Viper I think.

lol. And about the miracle thing. lol. Yeah, so called miracles happen quite a lot when your fighting tough bosses don't they? ^^ lol. Rhapthorne was a fun boss to fight in Dragon Quest VIII and so was Dhoulmagus but man where they fucking hard... lol. Dhoulmagus became heavily a whole lot easier though when Angelo finally learned Heal All or whatever. And omg... from Dhoulmagus and furthermore, maybe even a little before that, bosses attack 2 times and with heavy damage. Ugh... lol.

It's a piece of armor called the white plate and it can be stolen from the white dragon.

i thoght so... hey maybeu can help me, i dont have the black plate because my steal attemp missed when i was gping to steal it to the black dragon, is there another way u can beat dario without the black plate and without having like 800 of hp?

Not that I know of. He counter attacks every type of element cast on him and his attack power is monstrous. If you can't figure it out through trial and error, then you might have to wait to try again when you do a new game+. I dunno what to tell you.

You CAN beat Dario without the plate, just avoid using white elements so he doesn't counter with conducta rod, it IS really hard, though.

itss all bout trial n error believe me when i 1st played chrono cross i defeated this guy without the black plate at all since i did this when i was smaller i don quite remember but heres the thing force him to keep doin support skills n attck him n repeat this may take a long time but its WORTH IT!!

@raibhulmago33 Sorry to talk down for this instance, but... kids these days..

I beat Dario on first walkthrough no grind no black plate. You can too. You actually have to strategize for this fight, really think about your next move, but it is possible (and actually easy once you get the knack). I did it 10 years ago.
