  • Most notably scenes from Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods in Brooklyn, NY and others scenes from various subway stations and platforms.

  • Nicky Hopkins ALWAYS made any band's songs great...

  • One of my favorite songs (and albums) when I was a "common foot soldier" in the US Army in Germany in 1981 and '82. Stones, one of the greatest bands of all times!

  • Keep eating peasant food, it's healthier, say a prayer for uncle Jimmi and his nephews and nieces and that cool chick Ness

  • This looks like Chicago. Anyone know?

  • I just received a call,

My friend Pete Ramiraz just died...

    houseless not homeless

in his home town of Wahiawa, HI.

    I listen to this song...

    in his memory...

    by his farviorte band...

    Rest In Peace

  • keith's good heart

  • Wonderful video. The images go so well with the music. Thanks for this...(you don't know how much..)

  • the beginning of the video is my neighborhood!!

  • @bassmart08 where would that be ? looks like a busy place

    nice one from england.

  • @bassmart08 what city?

  • It sounds like this was recorded underwater.

  • @passiveMenis

I agree. It sounds like this on all versions I've found.

  • @kerrgal

I uploaded the song (in good quality) after hearing this.

  • @passiveMenis Right on!

  • Brilliant, not 1% commercial, honest and brutally honest. Instrumentally incomparable. Nicky Hopkins just about rocked the piano off the stage...

now FF to 2010 and Justin Bieber.

    Sorry to burst the bubble.

    Bleccchhh...

  • cool vidja !! lol that seems to be my home@!

  • Brian Jones didn't do shit in Beggars Banquet actually, he practically wasn't even in the band anymore, he was too busy getting fucked in his big, empty apartment. And that incredible solo in Sympathy for the Devil is also Keith's. But besides that album, earlier Jones was the Stones. Anyone heard Under my thumb or Honky tonk women?

  • Beggars Banquet was by far the Stones best album. Brian Jones never got the credit he deserved for his contributions to the band. This album was back when the band was about the music, long before they went Hollywood.

  • A working class anthem!

  • dedicated to all the hard working people who lost thier jobs because of this fucked uo government..

  • Good film sans the blurriness.

  • Was this filmed in Harrison/Kearny?

    near Popeyes?

  • I dedicate this song to everyone on welfare.I hope everyone raises their glass to me when I finally pull out MY FUCKING GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @70goldtop Okay, I'm THIS close to tracking your IP and notifying the authorities. Seriously, shut the fuck up, retard. You've got issues.

  • @randomartist01 Get a life dickbrain

  • @70goldtop You're the one threatening anonymous people on an internet message board, you worthless cunt.

  • .......poesia.......che dura da 40 anni!!!!!!!

  • great song

  • as much as i like this song, there is no "generosity of spirit". this is mick in full lucifer mode, looking down on the swirling mass of greys, blacks and browns. It is about contempt. not generosity.

  • @margana44 An interesting divergence of interpretation here. I read the lyrics about how one can often forget that crowds are composed of individuals. I get ambiguity rather than spite.

  • i hope she is still giving you kisses

  • I really liked the new york video, its as raw as the song, and the stones always mention new york, in so many songs, good job whoever put that one together!

  • lol wow keith could sing

  • the right words... "has the most generous spirit"

  • When they did this at the 9/11 tribute - what a moment. It was like the tune was reinvented and written just for those firefighters. "Say a prayer for his wife and his children..." Still gives me chills.

  • That was amazing.I still get emotional seeing that preformance. This song is heart warming.Keith sings well.

  • Raise a Glass KEITH ! ! ! !

  • rise your glass to the good and the evil....larga vida a los rolling.Esta canción es una joya oculta como tantas otras del Exile on Main st.

  • Habras querido decir Beggar's banquet. Pero es una joya, no oculta

  • pues si que te has lucido jaja

  • @PabloZaragoza

que si, que es del Beggar´s Banquet, que un dia flojo lo tiene cualquiera je je je

  • 5 stars

  • beatifull song!!!!!

  • It's Richards at the beginning, the rest is Jagger. This is actually my favorite Rolling Stones song... it has the most generous spirit.

  • Very true. This track sends chills down my spine.

  • I love this video.

  • Bril song out of all their records !st saw them when i was 16 1n 1966.Last saw them Hampden Glasgow Big Bang tour 2006.

  • British band Proud Mary, covered it on the debut album Same Old Blues, which i think is a better version

  • its richards actually

  • God Bless the hardworking people, and God bless you for posting this video.

  • Classic Jagger. Must be great when he does it live.

  • cheers.

  • La sal de la tierra. El esfuerzo de cada uno

  • no existen palabras para este tema

  • Amazing.

  • Great song from the greatest album ever recorded

  • Super video and super song.

  • i hope mr jagger has not forgot the meaning of this work of art & science. a toast to you.
