beautiful playing and beautiful instrument.i am drummer who have not money for bying vibraphone.could i practise on 2 1/2 octave glockenspiel,and play rented vibraphone live.HELP!!!

I am a vibist and I don´t think that would work well enough to play gigs. It may be a way to get started though. The spacing between notes is very small on a glockenspiel. It feels very different. Also they are very high pitched. I would´nt wnat to play one for a long period of time frankly. Anything to get started would help. Even playing a piano would help. Many of the best vibist also play piano. Hope that´s helpfull.

@pektus5 Most of what i play on vibraphone was learned on the piano originally. Thats the way to do it man! I mean, the best way to do it would be on a real vibraphone. But you do what you can.
