Boston used to be live like New York and stay open 24 hours and have hip hop clubs. But there was too much violence and murders so the mayor set a curfew for the city and after certain hours of the night the police be trying to fuck with people for no reason and that's why it seems dead. Everyone goes in after certain hours. Blame the Mayor, the police, and idiots.
And the difference is that even though Boston like all other cities has its fair share of gangsters, I find it crazy that in places such as Boston, LA etc..you guys in the hood at least own houses! Thank god the NYPD revamped our police force in the late 90s! NYC used to be so bad, half the tourist spots today you couldnt even visit especially Times Square! All these neighborhoods are gentrifying and getting better but there are still some absolutely run down places like almost all of the Bronx, Brownsville, East New York and other neighoring areas of BK, and Queensbridge and South Jamaica in Queens. The Murder numbers don't matter. The population size does. Both, those towns have small populations. The amount of crime is high for communities that have a population that size. New York = Large population. So, there is a lot of crime there. Boston does not have a New York size population. The murder rate is high for boston.
