Also, you should know that Kratom can and often triggers lucid dreams and out of body experiences, so yes Wild Kratom can absolutely be considered an entheogen. I have had pure spiritual experiences through Kratom ingestion. Not to mention its many medicinal uses.

I would offer to your viewers that from personal experience of using various strains of kratom over a year and a half period is this. It is not as addictive as people would have you believe. People can drink alcohol casually now and then abd are fine, though some few are drunkards all the time. As with kratom, i have never gotten addicted and have gone weeks and weeks before buying more. As long as its a casual thing, its fine. Also dont take too much or you can feel a little sick.
Lion's tail, wild dagga gives you a warm fuzzy feeling for about 1/2 hour. it's sedating, and slightly hypnotic. Harmless, of course, but the duration isn't that long.
Kratom has proved to be an absolute good for me. I can do it everyday for a month then quit cold turkey and have no problems. Its pretty much the best thing ever. Thats just my opinion though.
kratom definitely caused a pretty long and drawn out addiction for me a few years back. it was just powdered leaves i ate; making a tea made it weak; i dont think the 5-mitragynine is water soluble enough. it was euphoric at first then became a need and habit. the withdrawal lasted a bit over a week when i finally called it quits; although i know someone who went through 3 weeks of hell from daily use of a strong extract.
I've been taking Kratom for a year now, I have never had a hang over from it, I have never had any withdrawal symptoms when I quit taking it for 3 months, I prefer kratom over Vicodin, Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, any opiates basically. It's very helpful for work, it keeps you focused and in a good mood. just a quick note - the effects of kratom can be significantly prolonged using fresh grapefruit juice about 1/2 hour before taking kratom. i squeeze a whole fresh grapefruit. it binds up the same enzymes that break down the active kratom alkaloids. the supplement quercitin (which is often citrus-derived) also does this.
I'm surprised that you haven't tried kratom! Personally, I consider it to be much safer than some of the man-made entheogenic chemicals, such as MDMA, even if kratom is more capable of producing a mild physical dependence. I wouldn't say that it is an entheogen in the true sense of the word, but it is a very useful and pleasant substance when used in moderation. Relative to true opiates, it is nowhere REMOTELY near as habit-forming and destructive, I can attest to this personally.
She's Fine! but I've try'd 15x on more than one ocassion (baught 6 grams buy 1 get 1 deal) Try'd in tea and smoking and it did skwot! 0 nothing! it does taste like shit though! So if you like sucking on a turd and destroying a perfectly good bowl, go ahead and waste you money.
Comparing it to Suboxone would be more accurate since it contains a plethora of ANTI addiction compounds.
Reductionist pharmacology like comparing one constituent in mitragyna to heroin ( in the first minute) is like comparing salvia leaf to PCP which has been done on youtube. As much as I like some of your videos I feel that this video is looking as 1/1000th of the picture and can thus be used to manipulate public perception of a plant that has caused no real harm or danger.
When ever i am out i only experience a decrees in motivation.
No significant withdrawal symptoms
I have no tried all the various types and extracts but i am working on that. I most say kratom has given me countless hours of energy to achieve a large amount of work.
I use a bit of sugar and honey nd lime juice in the tea. I love the taste butttt that is me.
Though i have always read that kratom works on delta opioid receptors more than mu-
Because kratom is natural it has much less side effects than pain pills or heroin. Now if you ingested a pill form of the active ingredient in kratom- that would be a different story. The effects last 3 to 6 hours (depending on tolerance), and gradually wear off without a severe comedown or hangover. Many find that kratom is much more manageable than pain pills. Many kratom addicts enjoy life and don't worry about trying to quit because it's destroying their life (like heroin and pain pills)
btw you should nt talk about something you never tried , you cant learn everything from books . id fuck your pussy with my rock hard dick after taken 25 grams of kratom .
maybe thats what it does to you , i get long lasting erections after using kratom ... But maybe you were impotent before using kratom , and you are just using it as an excuse .
listen clearly you shouldnt talk about something you never tried or experienced . You can ask my girl friend about it she could confirm the norm ... : )
....but for the fact that i've used it for years, sampled dozens of different varieties, distribute the herb locally, and have a 6' tree in my yard-- having studied the horticulture & ethnobotany of the species rather closely (you may want read a few posts back)
other than that, no, i suppose i don't know what i'm talking about on the subject!
settle down stud, i don't doubt you, meant no offense-
there are granted exceptions (converse effects) in small populations with almost every substance. caffeine makes a small number of people really sleepy.
if you want kratom to work even better-- try it with this-- moomiyo (siberian mineral pitch), fermented kanna (sceletium), and L-arginine. it's like the kratom expansion pack. deeper effects, tolerance reducer, you get more mileage out of the herb. even better sex too.
once i smoked a lot of opium like 2 grams and took some natural viagra pill its green i dont know the name of it i took 2 pills and , i had sex for 4 hours straight . just took a break after 2 hours to smoke more opium . but i had the best time . opium is better then kratom but with a lot more negative side effects its more addictive and more expensive . so ill stick to kratom ...
kratom is 10 times better then codeine . the information the girl gives is targeted on negative side effects . i was an opium addict and kratom is almost as good but about 5 times cheaper , it also helps me stay away from alcohol .
Serious addiction is strictly a Thai phenomenon- where they have access to the fresh leaves right off the tree. The fresh leaves contain extra alkaloids, and the highest quality material is always used by the farmers / collectors.
The dry stuff, though it can be good, is not nearly as strong.
Micropowdered whole leaf is the best way to take it. Put it in '000' size capsules. Teas suck.
You can't get any prescription opiates "over the counter." You know what over the counter means? It means without prescription. Fucking stupid idiot hippy.
MAN have I dont a lot of this stuff, for almost three years I'd do kratom one to five times a week. I started with Thai leaf and did that for a very long time, then went over to the Super Enhanced stuff; and I agree, you gotta be careful with that because it is very addictive to some people.
As far as the bans go, well it just got illegal here in Denmark. I'm sure a lot of other nations will follow suit, unfortunately.
solid coma from kratom? i'm searching this via google and coming up empty. i have read much on kratom and have NEVER heard of "total meltdown of the brain" and "solid coma." please provide a link if you're going to post statements like this.
I can attest to Kratom (Super Indo, in particular) having very effective pain killing properties. The euphoria is mild but cleaner than pills and doesn't create the lousy come down of pharms.
isnt it pronoused krae tom. and they have been using it to treat h addicts for like hunreds of years this girl is not as informed as she thinks she is but still gave some good information.
I made kratom tea from a kratom powder I got from an online vendor. I don't know if I did something wrong or if my system isnt geared for it but I got upset and vomited.
Heroin is a really safe drug, and it's no more addictive than any other opiates. The problem is when you snort, inhale or inject it.
When taken orally drugs are nowhere near as addictive (it's all to do with the speed of the come-up. why do you think crack is more addictive than coke and tobacco so addictive?).
You only really see this with "reward system" drugs (stimulants and opiates) and not with others.. Whatever you do, never take any drug on your own, that's how you become addicted.
True. Heroin is diacetyl morphine. There are plenty of opiates that are more powerful, like diluadid. It is the injection with the immediate rewards that amplifies the addiction problem. Heroin could be used as a legal pain killer like the others and be beneficial. It has that stigma....Again, thanks to government lies and media disinformation.
wow...i wouldn't call heroin "safe" by any stretch of the imagination...haha...if you're to the point of being willing to inject ANYTHING into your body you're prolly already fucked...there is a BIG difference between sniffing and shooting dope...people are just brainwashed into thinking it's okay to inject it for some reason...almost ALL addicts inject heroin, while barely any cocaine addicts inject...i don't get it
i don't know where you heard "almost ALL" heroin addicts inject, in my area most people smoke it and injecting is taboo. i'm not saying it should be it's just what i've absorbed. I've drank kratom extract (i think 33x), it was slighty weaker than medium dose codiene, and made me nauseus.
OK...Perhaps there are those who are using Kratom to stave off the abstinance symptoms from heroin. I think that methadone has a longer half life than diacetylmorphine and/or morphine. Maybe this is the reason why it is far more difficult to quit something like methadone than heroin. Yet, if Kratom could help with something as heavy as that, then I think it sould continue to be researched and, if possible, applied.
Hey Neuro. I just wanna say, yyou are sexy in like, a smart nerdy band geek kinda way. like i would totally do you, but i would'T tell my friends... haha, no im joking... i woulld tell my friends
I agree with you concerning kratoms use for treatment with heroin addiction. The fact is that kratom does mask some of the withdrawal symptoms people experience during opiate withdrawal thus making it helpful to people trying to kick opiates. The sad reality is that many americans are becoming pharmaceutical junkies because of prescription pain killers. Never use opiates for a long period of time unless it is absolutely needed. Its just not worth the price you pay.
Being one of the first people to use Kratom in the U.S., 8 years ago (pioneer) I can tell you kratom is EXTREMELY addictive, I had allot of trouble getting off, and it took me 6 years to finally escape. Please I"m just giving everyone a warning about kratom. Your tolerance builts up extremely fast compared to anything else, from 1 gram to 30 grams in no time. IT WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE!! I thought the same as everyone else that its less addictive, that may be which makes it dangerous 4 first timers
I think your special - even on websites it says to use up to 50 grams to make tea. Most people do not have this flimsy resistance to kratom - It must do something to some people though.
Truthfully it only took me half a gram to feel its full effects in less than 4 months I needed more than 30 grams. The reason why they are saying 50 grams is because of 2 reasons. One, it's made for more servings. Two, It could be for those people living there who has a extreme tolerance to kratom.
did you use 30 grams to make tea or take thirty grams of leaf washed down? two different kinds of doses. straight leaf, i've never heard of anyone taking that much at a time.
Not only did it get to 30 grams a day, but it was also Maeng Da, the strongest kratom out there. 4 times more potent that thai or bali. It was basically 6 grams powder (swallowed it with water) at 5 times a day. This is the god honest truth I lost my car, and got 2000 dollars in debt, before I decided to call it quits. I'm 7 months clean now. The addiction took hold of me for about 3 years. Trust me its not safer, its as addictive once you build a tolerance. I tried to quit over 10 times before.
you can build a tolerance- especially with the strong, or enhanced stuff.
i really despise the super-strong, enhanced, / extracts of kratom. they don't do the fresh whole leaf justice. they're addictive, and the people who make them are irresponsible.
the coca leaf, from which cocaine is derived, is less of a stimulant than green tea-- in it's natural unaltered form.
it's when people begin extracting & enhancing, the plant gets banned for everyone.
kratom is fine, when used responsibly. if people are educated on the risks and understand how it works.
our government here will ban kratom in coming years-- you will see-- and it's because of the extracts, and people getting hooked on super-alkaloid-rich leaf found nowhere in nature.
i value kratom not only for serenity (when used responsibly!), but because it treats opiate & opiate analog addiction. that is why it must not be banned. it is a vital tool in rescuing people from harder stuff.
i agree totally-----the extracts can be very powerful. i had to stop taking them because they are so addictive and so expensive. you really have to watch out for them. the plain powdered leaf is a lot milder but still has good antidepressant effects imo.
Not only did it get to 30 grams a day, but it was also Maeng Da, the strongest kratom out there. 4 times more potent that thai or bali. OK 30 grams a day. that i can see. i'm sorry it turned out to be such a nightmare for you. take care with other substances too, because addictions migrate...at the same time you might see a psy doc because medication might help you. some of us really do have chemical imbalances that make us prone to taking things to improve mood...been happening since the dawn of time..but a doctor's care can make a difference..good luck
Not that people should do them but there is a reason why we have so many receptors in our 'brain' that are associated with altered states. Our brains are built for these types of chemical keys. We have opiate, nicotine, dmt, thc and alcohol receptors in the brain. When we smoke a joint it is not the thc that we feel but rather the thc activates a response. The chemicals are merely programs that fit into the hard drive brain. The receptor response is already built in.
Likewise, I've been very depressed and anxious for a good portion of my life. SSRIs have horrible side effects and don't do shit to help, and any adjunct treatments (Abilify, etc) have ridiculous side effects that make life pretty much unlivable.
A lot of research has been done into the use of small doses of mild opioids for treatment-resistant depression. I think kratom is the perfect drug for this, as it seems to retain it's mood-lifting effects even after the euphoria disappears in daily use
Kratom is wonderful both recreationally and medicinally. I used to take it in place of oxycodone for pain relief after very thoracic surgery. Due to stupid media stigma, doctors wouldn't prescribe me enough oxy for my pain.
Eventually I went out and got my own oxy BECAUSE I was underprescribed and have used it for 8 months. I would not consider myself psychologically addicted -- merely physically. Using Speciosa's Enhanced Bali kratom, I was able to quit the oxy easily and then ween off kratom.
She is not in love with drugs, but rather the therapeutic possibilites. She wants to expand her mind, not get fucked up.
That is the purpose of calling a drug a medicine instead of a drug, isnt it? That it has reasons to be on this earth other than to just get messed up?.
Oh hell no.... she hates drugs. can't stand them.doesn't study them every minute.doesn't make love on them.has nothing to do with them. Now that i think about it...how could i possible think/say that !!
kratom is the perfect thing to take when withdrawing from opium (poppy tea), but then it can take on an addiction of it's own, but it's easier to quit than opium.
kratom feels better than vicodin, but you have to take just the right dose. Too much and you feel nauseous, and too little and it only stimulates. The best way is to just put the powdered leaves in pills. Making a tea doesn't do a good job. Take 8 grams for a perfect dose. The opiate effect only lasts about 2 hours though.
finely powdered, in 000 size capsules. take on empty stomach. i do it with a touch of caffeine sometimes, or gotu kola (pennywort) (to enhance circulation)
i take it with fermented kanna to nullify kratom's edginess. that's the only side of kratom i find unpleasant- the edginess that comes when the dose begins to burn out.
which happens with coffee too ... but not everyone has this type of experience with it.
that's the only downside with kratom- it can make you edgy
Kratom has a relatively low addictive profile. I've been using it for a few years now, I only take it once or twice a month, and i've never, ever had any cravings to take it.
Its not as intense as opium, or most opiods (such as hydrocodone which you even stated you took when you had whiplash, so I don't understand your apprehension to kratom, but like you said to each his own).
Anyways, its kind of like taking a few T3s but with a bit of controllable energy. Even at high doses, the effects aren't crazy, and absolutely nothing like heroin.
I disagree IndigoVagrant i personaly became addicted to it while trying to come off oxymorphone. i basicly just prolonged WD's. but i could not have done it without the Kratom. and all i used was crushed leaf in "00" gel-caps.
But it is a plant that needs much more looking into for medical reasons.
I now use it for migraines. and it works when all other OTCs cant touch the pain!
I think the likelyness of addiction greatly depends on the personality of the person, and the conditions surrounding their reasons for taking Kratom.
I use Kratom as rare pick me up or for a Euphoric effect, others may be using it daily to supplement pain or come off of a more serious drug. This type of situation is a catalyst for addiction indeed.
Kratom doesn't seem at all addictive to me, and I have an addictive personality.
Yes the effects are pleasurable, but addictive? No. Not anymore than me wanting some coffee or something. I avoid caffeine in general unless I really want that boost or whatever.. Same with Kratom.
You sound like you just have a good approach to psychoactive drug-taking. Some people don't have as much control.
That being said, I think that the addictive effects of kratom are overplayed in the entheogenic community (probably mostly out of fear of drawing attention/prohibitive laws). I've personally taken kratom daily for long periods of time, and I do kind of miss it when I take a break from it, but it's nothing compared to, say, nicotine or amphetamine addiciton.
ive done all sorts of opioids.. and kratom really is a wonderful drug. its effects may not be as pronounced as the stronger ones like heroin or oxy but it certainly is a drug worth some more research. there are some really potent kratom products out there.. my favorite being ultra enhanced indo. anyone looking for a good buzz and with sensible and responspible use should give it a try, for the positive effects greatly outweigh the negative if used properly.
yeah. i'm getting tired of people associating kratom with harder drugs, which it is not.
i actually have a tree growing in my yard here, and i have prepared my own extracts from it.
kratom is less addictive than coffee, in my experience. the only "addictive" aspect is the compulsion to take it when you're stressed out, as it placates the mind.
if you want to stop taking, let it run out, and there's no real withdrawal at all.
Many TRIP reports are lies. just idiot kids that want 2 sound cool.
Kratom is about as addictive as coffee (as its in the same family)
If you want it 2 B illegal, go ahead & PROMOTE The BS you have no true idea about & make it sound dangerous like ure doing - cant be smoked. its a lie.
STICK TO YOUR rediculous Mind tripping drugs like ALL the SSRIs that are zombifying the world & that turn once normal ppl in to mutalating monsters.
Kratom will never do that. LSD & PCP however, can.
I got off of a 100mg or more a day oxi addiction using Kratom. I had been addicted to pain killers for over 5 years. I have been off of pain killers for a year now, and my health is much much better. I couldn't have done it without kratom.
Isn't the opiat like addictive aspect of kratom a lot less like normal opiates because it binds to mu-receptors instead of delta-receptors (like opiates themself).
2-5 grams? That's my dosage, but it seems most other users, from what I've seen, report upwards of 5-10 grams. As far as addiction, well, it's on par with coffee, in my experience. And I used it every day for a year and quit cold turkey. No real bad withdrawal symptoms except for restless leg syndrome.
Actually kratom is very addictive and is readilly availbable I'm not saying it should be illegal I just want people to know that it is "REALLY" addictive. Its not as addictive as Heroin, but your tolerance will go up EXTREMELY Fast, for example if you're taking1 gram every day, in 6 months you would have to take 30 grams one time. Plus the WD are terrible, and it will start costing...trust me on this, I KNOW!
bs. i've never heard of anyone taking 30 grams at a time. i took kratom for years and my dose stayed steady at a slightly rounded teaspoon several times a day. sometimes used less and sometimes more, but 30 grams would make a person ill.
You can learn from all experiences. Lessons may not be good, or easy, but yeah... "Entheogen" is not a term for types of drugs, but the way you use the drug. Most people won't, but you CAN use any drug as an entheogen... LSD, DMT, cocaine, alcohol, heroin... And you can use psychedelics in self-destructive and habitual ways too. A tool is neither good nor bad, but can be used in either way.
is this a thinly veiled attempt by D.A.R.E. to make entheogens seem boring so no one uses them?
maybe try making a video while using some psycobilin. I know its hard to operate some kinds of electronics during the peak, but it might spice up the videos a bit.
Yeah, so, you see the sorta cute hippie girl talking? That's the spice. I think quite a few people would happily sit and listen to her talking about inhaling turd gas.
But seriously, while this video is a bit bland, she's got some pretty good ones.
Also, you should know that Kratom can and often triggers lucid dreams and out of body experiences, so yes Wild Kratom can absolutely be considered an entheogen. I have had pure spiritual experiences through Kratom ingestion. Not to mention its many medicinal uses.

Ive used kratom daily for about 4 months now.

Many kratom addicts enjoy life and don't worry about trying to quit because it's destroying their life (like heroin and pain pills)

settle down stud, i don't doubt you, meant no offense-
there are granted exceptions (converse effects) in small populations with almost every substance. caffeine makes a small number of people really sleepy.
if you want kratom to work even better-- try it with this-- moomiyo (siberian mineral pitch), fermented kanna (sceletium), and L-arginine. it's like the kratom expansion pack. deeper effects, tolerance reducer, you get more mileage out of the herb. even better sex too.
abyssquick 2 years ago
just make sure you're familiar with kanna by itself first.

Teas suck.

As far as the bans go, well it just got illegal here in Denmark. I'm sure a lot of other nations will follow suit, unfortunately.

Whatever you do, never take any drug on your own, that's how you become addicted.
vinylmesh 2 years ago
woah wtf really? i had no idea lol thanks for that :)
arfxcore 2 years ago
TerryOlinger 2 years ago 3
wow...i wouldn't call heroin "safe" by any stretch of the imagination...haha...if you're to the point of being willing to inject ANYTHING into your body you're prolly already fucked...there is a BIG difference between sniffing and shooting dope...people are just brainwashed into thinking it's okay to inject it for some reason...almost ALL addicts inject heroin, while barely any cocaine addicts inject...i don't get it
xRIKTERx 2 years ago
i don't know where you heard "almost ALL" heroin addicts inject, in my area most people smoke it and injecting is taboo. i'm not saying it should be it's just what i've absorbed. I've drank kratom extract (i think 33x), it was slighty weaker than medium dose codiene, and made me nauseus.
kurtsquirt 2 years ago 2
There's no such thing as "addiction" in the sense most people think of it. People can be addicted to food, TV, drugs, games, etc.
In the sense most people think of addiction, coffee would fall under "extremely addictive. "

Michaeltanase 2 years ago
I think your special - even on websites it says to use up to 50 grams to make tea. Most people do not have this flimsy resistance to kratom - It must do something to some people though.
granitepeace 2 years ago
Truthfully it only took me half a gram to feel its full effects in less than 4 months I needed more than 30 grams. The reason why they are saying 50 grams is because of 2 reasons. One, it's made for more servings. Two, It could be for those people living there who has a extreme tolerance to kratom.
Michaeltanase 2 years ago
did you use 30 grams to make tea or take thirty grams of leaf washed down? two different kinds of doses. straight leaf, i've never heard of anyone taking that much at a time.
cindiburkey 2 years ago
yeah, 30 grams is TOTALLY too much. not accurate AT ALL.
theoretically, if one has no knowledge of how strong good kratom is... than one might have to take 30g of an -impotent- (old) leaf to get an effect.
1-4 grams at a time is all you need if you have good quality fresh powdered leaf. good stuff is pleasantly active at only 1 gram.
the best kratom comes from old jungle trees. the older trees make more potent leaf. plantation stuff is OK, but forest kratom is far better.
abyssquick 2 years ago
Not only did it get to 30 grams a day, but it was also Maeng Da, the strongest kratom out there. 4 times more potent that thai or bali. It was basically 6 grams powder (swallowed it with water) at 5 times a day. This is the god honest truth I lost my car, and got 2000 dollars in debt, before I decided to call it quits. I'm 7 months clean now. The addiction took hold of me for about 3 years. Trust me its not safer, its as addictive once you build a tolerance. I tried to quit over 10 times before.
Michaeltanase 2 years ago
i've used kratom off & on for many years
you can build a tolerance- especially with the strong, or enhanced stuff.
i really despise the super-strong, enhanced, / extracts of kratom. they don't do the fresh whole leaf justice. they're addictive, and the people who make them are irresponsible.
the coca leaf, from which cocaine is derived, is less of a stimulant than green tea-- in it's natural unaltered form.
it's when people begin extracting & enhancing, the plant gets banned for everyone.
abyssquick 2 years ago 3
kratom is fine, when used responsibly. if people are educated on the risks and understand how it works.
our government here will ban kratom in coming years-- you will see-- and it's because of the extracts, and people getting hooked on super-alkaloid-rich leaf found nowhere in nature.
i value kratom not only for serenity (when used responsibly!), but because it treats opiate & opiate analog addiction. that is why it must not be banned. it is a vital tool in rescuing people from harder stuff.
abyssquick 2 years ago 2
very true, ive used it for that a few times. i never got any pleasant euphoria though. it just made me feel normal when coming off opiates.
ods1ODS 2 years ago
i agree totally-----the extracts can be very powerful. i had to stop taking them because they are so addictive and so expensive. you really have to watch out for them. the plain powdered leaf is a lot milder but still has good antidepressant effects imo.
cindiburkey 2 years ago

Michaeltanase 2 years ago
OK 30 grams a day. that i can see. i'm sorry it turned out to be such a nightmare for you. take care with other substances too, because addictions migrate...at the same time you might see a psy doc because medication might help you. some of us really do have chemical imbalances that make us prone to taking things to improve mood...been happening since the dawn of time..but a doctor's care can make a difference..good luck
cindiburkey 2 years ago 5
oh yeah. you posted this before and it's total crap. 30 grams of kratom at a time. please.
cindiburkey 2 years ago

I think kratom is the perfect drug for this, as it seems to retain it's mood-lifting effects even after the euphoria disappears in daily use
puluvas 2 years ago
I found it very helpful as well also. also useful because it doesn't impair thinking, at least for me.

Using Speciosa's Enhanced Bali kratom, I was able to quit the oxy easily and then ween off kratom.

kratom is the perfect thing to take when withdrawing from opium (poppy tea), but then it can take on an addiction of it's own, but it's easier to quit than opium.
AlchemistShaman 2 years ago
kratom feels better than vicodin, but you have to take just the right dose. Too much and you feel nauseous, and too little and it only stimulates. The best way is to just put the powdered leaves in pills. Making a tea doesn't do a good job. Take 8 grams for a perfect dose. The opiate effect only lasts about 2 hours though.
AlchemistShaman 2 years ago
finely powdered, in 000 size capsules. take on empty stomach. i do it with a touch of caffeine sometimes, or gotu kola (pennywort) (to enhance circulation)
i take it with fermented kanna to nullify kratom's edginess. that's the only side of kratom i find unpleasant- the edginess that comes when the dose begins to burn out.
which happens with coffee too ... but not everyone has this type of experience with it.
that's the only downside with kratom- it can make you edgy
abyssquick 2 years ago
Kratom has a relatively low addictive profile. I've been using it for a few years now, I only take it once or twice a month, and i've never, ever had any cravings to take it.
Its not as intense as opium, or most opiods (such as hydrocodone which you even stated you took when you had whiplash, so I don't understand your apprehension to kratom, but like you said to each his own).

IndigoVagrant 2 years ago 2

how addicted are you to mindless abuse on the internet? prob not as addicted as you are to the way it makes you feel, you big strong man.

Kratom doesn't seem at all addictive to me, and I have an addictive personality.
Yes the effects are pleasurable, but addictive? No. Not anymore than me wanting some coffee or something. I avoid caffeine in general unless I really want that boost or whatever.. Same with Kratom.
IndigoVagrant 2 years ago
You sound like you just have a good approach to psychoactive drug-taking. Some people don't have as much control.
That being said, I think that the addictive effects of kratom are overplayed in the entheogenic community (probably mostly out of fear of drawing attention/prohibitive laws). I've personally taken kratom daily for long periods of time, and I do kind of miss it when I take a break from it, but it's nothing compared to, say, nicotine or amphetamine addiciton.

ive done all sorts of opioids.. and kratom really is a wonderful drug. its effects may not be as pronounced as the stronger ones like heroin or oxy but it certainly is a drug worth some more research. there are some really potent kratom products out there.. my favorite being ultra enhanced indo. anyone looking for a good buzz and with sensible and responspible use should give it a try, for the positive effects greatly outweigh the negative if used properly.
hawabenn 2 years ago
effects depend not only on the dosage, but also the TYPE of kratom.
Bali mixed grades are good, rounded effects.
Thai green /red vein types are more energetic, and also make the person a bit edgy in higher (5g) doses.
The golden kratom types are more relaxing, sedating in larger doses. and are generally more pleasant.
the hangover only comes with irresponsible, high dose, repeated use.
also, combining kratom with kanna (sceletium) enhances the effect and duration of relaxation.
abyssquick 2 years ago
yeah. i'm getting tired of people associating kratom with harder drugs, which it is not.
i actually have a tree growing in my yard here, and i have prepared my own extracts from it.
kratom is less addictive than coffee, in my experience. the only "addictive" aspect is the compulsion to take it when you're stressed out, as it placates the mind.
if you want to stop taking, let it run out, and there's no real withdrawal at all.
far less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco.

Its not as addictive as Heroin, but your tolerance will go up EXTREMELY Fast, for example if you're taking1 gram every day, in 6 months you would have to take 30 grams one time.
