@marisswh - Well u make 20% sound like nothing but germany was a larger country at that period because it was conquering the weaker dominions around it, hungary, lithuania, poland etc + you had the support of italy so 20% out of the german empire at that point was still considerably high and you had the advantage because you was in control of the majority of central europe & u had no choice 2 put 80% of your troops on the eastern front because russia had the most troops in the world at that time

Have to disagree with these myths. Germany also had its allies. You seem to have forgotten that various formation of the SS were composed of non-Germans in Russia. Also the fact that the Allies were fighting Japan and Italy as well. The western front was an allied army confronting Germany but the Eastern front was Russia alone V Germany and her allies and the Germans went down HARD. The Russians were without doubt the best exponents of total war and look, they WON.

This was an army destined to lose a war. The German people chose Hitler to lead them. Few commanders actively disobeyed him in the field. Paulus should have made a breakout from Stalingrad but didn't dare. Manstein, Rundstedt et al were all great commanders but ultimately obeisant to an army system that taught ultimate fealty to the leader, who happened to be the worst possible guy to lead a nation, a gambler. From a military point of view and serving with the United States regular army infantry 30 years ago I would have felt proud to serve with the german army. Many German people were against Hitler but had no choice but to become slaves to his brutal ideology or die. Some supported Hitler but they were from many nationalities including Britain. Sweden was a notorious ally of Germany before and under WW2 by selling over priced Iron ore to Hitler. Switzerland or the nazi bank? The infamous Aryan test was a Swedish invention. The late infamous Swedish director Ingmar Bergman was such a fanatical nazi that he traveled to Germany to see Hitler in action. And immigrants in todays Sweden are treated like Jews and Romani in Hitlers Germany.

I don't know how polite the Swedes are to various immigrants, nor do I know how polite the immigrants are to the natives. I suspect they may be related. @Kaptk112 Have to disagree with these myths. Germany also had its allies. You seem to have forgotten that various formation of the SS were composed of non-Germans in Russia. Also the fact that the Allies were fighting Japan and Italy as well. The western front was an allied army confronting Germany but the Eastern front was Russia alone V Germany and her allies and the Germans went down HARD. The Russians were without doubt the best exponents of total war and look, they WON.

Well many people died indeed, but still i'm speaking about the forces in WW2, Germany was better equiped and trained, if Hitler didn't splitted his forces in 3 Groups, A,B,F group, the Germans had conquered Stalingrad and Germany would then concentrate on Moscow, USSR had many loses in this war and yes indeed Germany lost but it taked more then 5 years with 26 country's to defeat them!

People that believed in Nazi-Germany and were Christian didn't get killed. I thought the school systems in europe were better than that. lets see , what was happening in WW2 before America entered the war, well paris fell to the nazis. Actualy 87% to the 94% casualaties of Germans were in Eastern Front USA in Europe wasnt that big in fact their were the country that had less casualaties and killed less

If anyone won it for the allies, it was Russia, perhaps you may find that hard to swallow with your anti-communism in America, but it's true so accept it. All I know is, it was an awful war, the only two decent things that war created was the EU and showing the world that people don't stand up to fascist bullies. It doesn't matter what country did the most, what matters is that they despite their differences banded together and won.
