It's a good thing VII has a damage cap, but then again it IS the same cap as your maxHP. But escape from death is merely a Final Act-Life 2 away! Then Sephiroth with have to explode the solar system a whole buncha times until you're out of MP.

all this is is his signature move. it's worth noting he's mainly a move thief - both Heartless Angel and Havoc Wing came from the FF6 final boss. (I'm honestly surprised he didn't go back even futher - Grand Cross would royally f***k the party over if they cannot find 3 ribbons.)

Super Nova could be an illusionary attack, hence, the status effects, and the simple fact it is not instant death in that situation. Funny thing is, the Sun sin't big enough to go SuperNova...

And, if it did though, Mars would be touched... after Earth, so we would not have known.

That attack actually can't kill your party as long they have more than 1 HP, I think. It deals damage based on your current HP or something.
