I just had to watch this video again today to get my daily stoke. Thanks for the info Shkemper: I went to guerrillajazzcom & purchased the "Everywhere But Now" cd...it was so easy using paypal. This is some of the best music that I have heard in quiet sometime! I have already watched this video 5x, & I am sure that I will be watching it many more!!! I can't wait to get my sons back home to the U.S.A. (Keoni Lance & Mason) so their daddy can teach them how to surf! Mahalo!!!
This is the most perfect surf video! The artistic surfing combined with the energy of the waves, to the soulful music of Guerrilla Jazz...SUBLIME!!! I love you Keoni, Lance & Mason!!!
Oh, I'm sorry! I used the wrong word. I should have said "incongruous." Yeah, that's a much better word. There is incongruity between the surfing action and the music. I'm trying to make out the words. I even went so far as to Google search: "Lyrics, Supahstah, by Guerrilla," but couldn't find the lyrics. So you tell me, what is the subject matter, or theme, of the music? What are they talking about? Post the lyrics here so that I see them. Then we'll decide.
This vid got me so psyched on guerrilla Jazz, f ing epic. I love surfing with these guys, they all push each other and everyone out in the lineup with them. Thanks for the jams and surfing inspiration boyz. Who went doubles on the bomb?
Bring back 60s surf music! This music sucks. It's inappropriate. You've got two things going on at once -- surfing, and then this music which has nothing whatsoever to do with surfing. The only way I can watch the video is to turn the sound off.
Sixties surf music was and is great. Music on this vid is by Maui's Guerrilla Jazz. Billy Kemper's brother is the drummer a great surfer. The band has a big Hawaii surf culture following, new school Hawaii surfing talent & their music. These guys don't surf in the sixties, they are todays pioneers, doing it their way. Long live the Ventures, Dick Dale, Beach Boys, Jan & Dean all pioneers in their day! You can play music of your choice when watching the vid, it won't change the insane surfing.
There you go! Couldn't be more appropriate. Yeah, plug the music, it aint bad at all. Looks you had an epic day, SHK, can't wait to revisit me mates on the north shore
Hello could you tell me what is the name of the first music that plays in your video? Music is a very good and I liked it very much if you can post the name of it I thank you: D

Pretty solid, but the winds look kinda whacky for Jaws. Seemed like it was side onshore.
