Yeah sorry bro, but this is an MG3. You see the disintegrating links? MG42s didnt use those, they used a non disintegrating belt. MG3s could use both. Cool vid though....
@SpencerAK74M mg3 also use 50 round non disintegrating links, the only fast way to se if ti is a mg42 or a mg3 its that the mg42 has a wooden stock oposed to the black nylon that the mg3 has
@SchwarzeProminence thats because its an MG3 not an MG42. The MG42 uses 7.92x57mm and fires at a rate of 2000rpm. The MG3 uses 7.62x51mm NATO round and fires at a rate of 1500rpm. The reason for the toned down rpm is so that the operator can have a longer live fire time without the gun overheating like the 42.
LoL "....Komm, hau raus..." typischer Spruch von der Schießaufsicht, da weis man sofort wieder was man zu tun hat^^. Ach ja... wie schön wars doch beim Heer...
it's a mg3, because our german army is using the naton ammunition the 7.62x51mm! for all guys who have knowlege about weapons: take a look at the sight! befor the sight there is a antiair sight. the mg 42 hasn't it!!
A lot of the german mg3's at one time were 42's they had there barrels, top covers, feed trays, and muzzle cones changed to adapt the 308..the early mg3 receivers were the same as the 42..Im most definitely NOT saying all were at one time 42's.. MOST were built from the factory as the MG3..But I know for a fact Ive seen a lot of MG3 parts kits that have waffen ww2 markings on them (converted models). But yeah the german army does not have a single mg42 anymore unless there is one in a museum ..
(müsste also selbst beschaft worden sein. Und das Beschaffen von Munition von Ausserhalb ist soweit ich weis verboten.
MG 3! I know the original video... and fired this gun many times!

one of the best MG's ever i love how the spent rounds eject down below the gun and not to the side like most MG's

That rate of fire is too slow. The sound of the MG42 is just like BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTT!
It's a lot more awesome!
SchwarzeProminence 2 years ago 2
@SchwarzeProminence
yes i agree with you that the sound would be better but the lower fire rate grantsthe mg3 alot more accuracy :)
Beakle 2 years ago
Yeah, I totally agree.
That's the reason why they lowered the firing rate in the first place right? And also to conserve ammo.
SchwarzeProminence 2 years ago
Yup..i think you can say that :P

dude I know that it was an MG3 just from the sound.
I was just saying that the sound of the MG42 is waaaaay cooler.
Anyway, stop the argument just watch the damn video.
SchwarzeProminence 2 years ago 2
@SchwarzeProminence i wasnt arguing.
death5089 2 years ago
Your fire rate are absolutely wrong.
MG42 - 1200 to 1500 rpm depending on bolt configuration.
MG3 - 1150 rpm.
Since when did the MG42 fired 2000 rounds?

its called the MG3 because its the third of the new series MG1-MG2-MG3. It is NOT an MG42, its NOT chambered in 7.92 mauser.

it`s an mg42, the guy who send me this clip, serves in the german army for over ten years

He told you bullshit. I served 4 years as Machingunner in the german infantry. The german army does not have a SINGLE MG42. They're all MG3's.

No shit Sherlock, MG42 was made during WW2. Even though the MG42 could fire more rounds per minute the MG3 is more accurate and modern and what not.
AsianFacist 4 years ago
yea but its still being used...and it was used up to the late 70's until the MG3 came out
