  • are the first couple frets hard to reach?

  • the cutaway could have been a little bit wider, but with a little bit of practice its quite comfortable

  • i meant like fret #1 or 2 at near the headstock of the guitar

  • No - not at all. Same as any other guitar. The neck isnt any longer.

  • @azraelgargoyle What is that like a 36 fret neck? Wow!

  • EPIC!....3 octaves!

  • fuckin` awesome!!!!

  • fuck my ass.i just shit myself...

  • that guitar is awesome!!!!

oh and the playing is too i guess lol

  • that guitar is so fucking metal

  • Is that a Conklin guitar? i love the 2 tone neck & i like your tone. The neck of a guitar has a lot to do with the tone, so, yeah, thank you for your posting on YouTube.

  • Thank you! The guitar is not from any major brand - a lutier in vienna handcrafted it for me - its one-of-a-kind.

  • @azraelgargoyle you bet it is hehe

  • Awesome playing and guitar! How many frets does that thing have?

  • 34 - the last 3 are spaced in whole-tone intervalls (else they'd be too tiny for my fingers). So overall each string has a range of 3 octaves.

  • oooohhhh yeahhhh !!!!

  • good job

  • awesome guitar man and playing!

  • .. why dont i see my comments after i posted them?

  • oh .. there they are ^^

  • Very good technique, very good sounding (and looking) guitar, but not so good timing of the notes. Take a more careful look at the sheet music of the piece.

  • thank you - as for the timing i didnt intend to play it as written on the sheet. i like to play classical music just the way i feel it. I know that this gives most classically trained musicians the creeps - but honestly - i dont care :)

  • It's good to have your own interpretation and to change the timing according to your feel - even classical muscians do it. But there always should be a clear sense of rythm in the music, a clear pulse. Since you're apparently a rock gitarrist you'd surely like a drummer to be able to accompany you!

  • I hear you. Of course you are right. Let me try to explain. See - normally i play metal most of the time. So essentially what i need to do is to stick to very fast rythms in the most precise way possible. I can do that. Playing those classial songs completely disregarding any metrum but just letting them flow out helps me to sort of relax. Like a weightlifter that shakes and stretches his limbs so release tension. Do you see what i mean?

  • I absolutely respect the composer and the intention that a song has to be played in a certain way - even more since most of them are already dead and cant veto against my interpretation. I dont claim to be a classical musician - i do it just for fun every now and then so i guess there is not much harm done. (at least i hope so)
