  • Where can i get one of those play mats?

i would love to get a 2 player mat

  • I think both were playing differently than they would normally based on their knowledge of the cryptic commands and counters in each other's hands. Not a real portrayal of how this matchup should have run.

  • This is severely misplayed by the control player. Discarding both baneslayers was 100% incorrect. Bouncing howling mine at his opponent's end step was 100% incorrect. Not cracking Gargoyle Castle was 100% incorrect. Taking Tezzeret over Open The Vaults was arguably incorrect.

You never want to get into a control battle with Time Sieve because they will always have inevitability. I like how this was all done but I think you guys chose a pretty poor matchup to cover extensively.

  • haha both baneslayers

  • i like the discard 80 dollars @ 4:12-4:21 lololo

  • you don't have to discard on your opponent turn if your hand is over 7

  • im just curious. why did you choose to discard both baneslayers over the evoke card when your opponet has a Howling mine out?

  • Why didn't you do anything at 7:50 ??

  • AND WHEN guy with lark deck used first cryptic command he should have bounced dudes artifact land....

  • Yeah its easy to make desicions when you have months to make them huh? and you already know the opponents hand,.

  • @hxcknivez he didnt need the draw speed as much as his opponent did.

  • WOW! Both Baneslayers?!?!

  • I've begun to believe that Baneslayer is over rated and there are better options out there. Baneslayer is a house and if you untap it is great, but the majority of removal out there will not allow her to untap on t5 or t6

  • Ah! Ok, makes since. Just tryn to understand cause I'm an L5R player and I like to dip into magic from time to time.

  • Yeah I'm beginning to see that Baneslayer is almost as overrated as Lotus Cobra.

There is simply too much removal out there to allow Angel to have a swing.

Now if she's swings just once... it's a 10 pt swing...and that's huge.... but man... she runs into terminates a lot.

  • How often do you see someone discard a baneslayer angel >.>

  • Eh, Brian plays like such a nub sometimes... IDK what he's doing.

  • being a donk

  • why would you bounce the howling mine seems pointless.

  • hopefully i get a land.

    3 more lands lolz

  • Is this pre or post board?

  • did you watch all the videos till the end?

  • Stan is so pro. end statement.

  • u/w lark applies absolutely no pressure he's practically just playing by himself, why dont you play anything

  • btw, Even if I get to attack with Angel 1 turn I still cant win the race vs his hand. I go to 25 and he still swings for 50 plus damage.

Angel is a good card but it isnt the card people think it is.

  • i agree. good card, not great, and not worth $30/ card. your are lucky if she stays on the board for 10 life or your opp. plays w/ Nameless Inversion and tries to kill her w/ 2 of them and then calls a judge to argue the issue. LOLLOLOLOL

  • you should have kept the angel

  • Turn 5 I play Angel. Turn 6 he combo's. What good do I get from this?

  • glad you guys are doing these still. it's rather difficult to find match vids for some decks.

  • and i would have kept an angel

    how do you win??

    you need to apply pressure

  • you win by keeping them off their combo. By only having cryptic and arch mage i'm not favored pre board. Brining in Meddling mage and Negates from board help this.

  • yes, i agree, but time sieve has inevitability. you need to get an early threat, then stall him while you beat down.

  • i think that at 4:00, playing an archmage there could be explored as a viable play as you had 2 of them

  • ya you could do without the baneslayer angel because of its high mana cost and also that it is best against mono black decks which there are not a lot out there.

  • There are many plays that could have done that would change the game state. It is a very difficult match up and as a viewer you have perfect knowledge of hands and board state, but as a player we have to assume what is their hand and when it would be safe to cast.

In my opinion baneslayer would cost to much and leave him a clear chance to combo off. It wouldnt give me a chance to fight back.

  • I agree with them dude. You shouldn't discard baneslayer. You could set up a turn where you play an eot Vendilion, make him bin the Cryptic, then play your Glen elendra Archmage, follwed up by a baneslayer to pretty much GG him.

  • I feel that the Angels would have done something. He has pollen lullaby, but you have cryptic and archmage to stop them. 10 damage a turn could probably kill him before he goes off.

  • I don't think he should have let that cryptic resolve (bounce howl/draw). He should have used cryptic to counter the cryptic and bounce one of brian's lands. I think the tempo gain would have made the early phase of the game more of a blow out. Discuss.

  • WTF? Why would you discard double Baneslayers? You have so many better options.

    Bad Play.

  • Angel wouldnt have done anything.

  • angel would have killed him???

  • Should've kept one Angel and discarded the Plains instead.

  • Angel wouldnt have done anything.

  • discarded 2 baneslayers...dont do that like ever again

  • Angel wouldnt have done anything.

  • youre right Bryan, its a tricky match-up, i hate playing against Time Sieve. B/W Lark against this deck is all about the timing and thats why its a tricky match.
