let me reinterate..my buddy has the a stg1 kit that has a pulley,custom tune from ESS and some other bolt ons(476rwhp)and he has a shot on NOx(503rwhp)....my car....especially in it's current form..DESTROYS his M3..my other buddy has a software, header back,intake,suspension, wheels/tyres C6 Z06...and we both stretch the vette...train lengths on my part..and i am only making 490-500whp(1946lbs car) from a 1.8l I4..so that vette is NOT stock.

This video contains in car footage from both cars so there is obviously some sort of relationship between the two drivers to exchange camera footage to make a video. But by your statement, you are driving a car with less than 4lb per hp so your car is faster than a ZR1 and Veyron top end? lol

@HEROYWE agreed. but the M3 is 3700, not 3600... the inline 6 E46 M3s are 3300lbs. CLS M3 is 3050lbs. Way better sports car, because they hit 1200bhp with a stage 4 turbo kit.

@evilbunny13 Given the new M5 is faster than Z06 on the ring, and that weigh way more / less hp ... something here is 'wrong' ... my stock M3 accelerate identical with the C5 Z06 from 75-150 (tested, neither gain or lost any distance) (DCT though) (yes the zr1 is faster ...) perhaps you got the VT-415 instead of VT-625?

@goguhu Given that your stats must have come from your ass, I think you need to google FACTS before making ridiculous claims. The 2012 M5 has an "Un-official lap time of 7:55. The Z06 comes in at an OFFICIAL time of 7:22.68. And just in case you didn't know, 33 seconds is a LIFETIME in the racing world. ;)

Equipping car with super slick competition tires does help significant on the track due to all the turns.

We were all impressed by vettefish's Z06 the first time we saw it in action, but I can assure you no one is fucking with people here, the Z06, unless you want to count the muffler mod and NT05's as power mods, is stock. :)

corvette wheel hops?!?! I thought that was only a mustang IRS trait. Mustangs have complete aftermarker bushing for the IRS that eliminates wheel hop completley... I would think a c6 z06 wouldn't need to upgrade bushings. although some tires are known to hop also. SO... question is was it the tires causing hop or your IRS???

@bluecapone On my C6 Z06, when I switched from stock Goodyears to Michelins, I experienced some wheelhop. Its like it is trying to hook but spin at the same time. Regardless, the Michelins definitely hook up better compared to the stock Goodyears.

Z06 got a strong 3rd gear but also the M3 is DCT.i ran with a Z06 b4 and he couldnt pull me in. also the Z06 is lighter than the M3 and the aero dynamics works well over 140mph.
