  • You should check out website forums. People make their own cards. I made a set called the Lost Tribe, which all have beneficial effects, and their key card, Lost Tribe Chief, gets the effects of all your Lost Tribe monsters in the graveyard.

    Series of warrior type monsters that are treared as spellcasters. Can fuse

  • Patriotic - All warriors, easily summoned, hard to get rid of. Effects similar to old six sam. Easily swarmable, very deadly. Boss monsters "Patriotic Marines" and "Patriotic General" are killing machines, worse than BLS. Yes...worse than BLS. And the XYZ monsters are easily summoned with the effect of "Patriotic Minuteman". "Patriotic Militia" is also good to xyz, Synchro, or any situation, really. The only Synchro monster so far, "Patriotic Navy SEALS" is also deadly. Supplying the perfect OTK

  • Cyborg Summoners - Eg. "Cyborg Summoner: Wraith". Their effects and support cards would range from banishment to swarming monsters of the same level as a banished monster. Their types would pretty much be Machines/ Spellcasters/ Psychics but their XYZ "Bosses" would act as Kycoo/ Caius hybrids (if that makes any sense)

  • Gunman archetype. All monsters are very weak (x00 atk/x00 def) but would destroy cards or burn opponents when summoned. support cards would focus on special summoning and returning gunman monsters to the hand.

  • I would create an "Olympian God" Artchetype, with Zeus, Ares and Hermes. They would be suported by macro deck... I'll describe effects and summoning conditions later...

    For example: 'Insectoid Scout' - LV3/DARK/1600ATK/500DEF - Effect: When this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, you can remove from play one 'Insectoid'

  • Emissary archtype that is based around powerful fiends and other types of dark and light monsters like Gorz and Kian of Emissary. I'll give you more examples later. Funny thing. My ace monster would be. Strike,Emissary Swordsman, 3000 attack,2000 defense,needs to be special summoned by removing emissary monsters from play equal to it's level and it's level 8 from your hand or graveyard,also,when it's removed from the field. You can special summon the monsters removed by this card's effect.

  • Emissary cards and monsters,based around Gorz and Kian emissary of darkness. Cards that require other emissary cards like most archtypes to work properly,I'll give you some examples of my ideas later.

  • My deck is called "Cosmic Beast" monsters composed of Beast and Beast-Warrior-Type. Their effect is practically remove cards from the game to get more power and / or summon more.

  • I was just talking to a friend about making a military archetype. You'd have a cadet, colonel, major, brigadier, etc. You could also have certain "Militia" cards like Sniper or Spy. They'd be warriors of course.

  • i would make both a archtype and a theme of cards known as Armantics where they center around discarding 1 card from your hand to activate their abilities and it being a specific card listed on the monster then it gains a extra part of their ability, the main Monster of the deck would be(next post)

  • I would make a Helldragon archetype, created for burning, aggro, and fast play. They will be based on weapons and Dark dragons. And each Helldragon has a "nightmare" effect where they do different effects when they are sent to the graveyard from the field. The boss monster would be "Helldragon Lord Revolver"

  • I've actually been working on something called "Viralux". They revolve around activating effects while in your Graveyard based on how many Viralux monsters there are in the Graveyard. Originally, They were meant to be sent to the opponent's Graveyard face-down, but that proved to be confusing. Viralux monsters are DARK Plant-type. They are supposed to look like tree-people, with a tribal appearance. Cards are named like "Pyrus, Viralux King" with the first part being a play on a type of tree.

  • I'd make a deck called OldSchool. It would be old school type cards like from back then then it would have a field spell called Ancient Ferro Rules. Where you could normal summon high level monsters and everything (Like the old rules, not the first but like the 2nd, first took a map and crap.) then you can only tribute, ritual, fusion, ect. Non effect monsters. I know a good bit of people rely on card effects sooo take that away and you just got attack and def. Then need a new strategy. idk lol

  • An archetype based around getting your lifepoints to 4200. Perhaps a monster that when it hits the grave when your life points are at 4200, you win. It would add a new element to the game.

    for every kaiser used it gains a counter then can pop a card on the field for each counter. They would have pot of avarice , but it would discard to activate , put 2 back draw 3.

  • When I think of a ghost archetype, I think they should all be floaters. When they die they get replaced by their ghost but w/ no effect. Sounds really good, no?

  • Ancient heroes - Special summon tribute monsters and monsters easily summoned from the graveyard for tribute fodder. A sort of hero that acts similar to treeborn frog but monsters instead of spells and traps and can only be tributed for ancient hero monsters.

    Ulterior Heroes - A culmination of tribute, contact fusion, synchro and exceed summon hero monsters.

    Future Heroes - Hero cards utilizing synchro monsters specifically.

  • A.K.M.A-42, low levels are lvl 1 dark machine type union monsters that are removed from play when removed from the field and 4 lvl 8 light dragon type monsters that can ss depending on what monsters are on the field.

    Strengths: High level monsters cant be removed from the field unless your opponent has a clear field/no hand (depending on the monster), high speed

    Weaknesses: If countered in the start (summoning of the machines) or the equiping of the dragons with em = almost instant lose.

  • The Calvary Knights. Theyd be nearly entirely Fire/Warrior/Gemini monsters. They're abilities focus on using equip spells (Namely Supervise) to speed up the deck, by sending them to draw cards, sp summon other members of their group from the grave, and filling their graves.

  • Ghost Archetype, with a Ectoplasmer Field Spell Card, a during the End Phase Tribute 1 face-up monster to inflict damage equal to half de ATK (during each players respective turns). If a Ghost was tributed during the end phase you can special summon another with different name from the graveyard.

  • my archtype would be warriors and im bringing back the heros in a new style called gadget heros. they are kinda like the e heros and d heros but they have tuners with better effects. they would be light all light, um basically they search eachother out and have supports to protect ur monsters, and some have abilitys to copy the opponents monsters abilitys.

  • My own Archetype would be named: Triad. I was thinking of a Synchro named "Holy Infinite, Fathering Triad of Heaven" but the big normal monster would be named "Gardenia Mur, Sacred Triad of Seas". My searcher card would be named "Imp Triad" and my floater would be named "Servant of Triad". I want it to be an aggro deck. With a field card that lets you remove from play up to 3 cards from the grave to special summon the same numbe of monsters. I will post a video on this too.

  • warrior dai grepher is who he used to be... he is on the card paths of destiny looking down the road of darkness... there is a whole story to him. i know its wierd iknow it but i find yugioh card trivia very interesting. anyways my archetype would be professional wrestlers. goa long with teh double tag team. you could have wrestlers as monsters, and like spells that can only activate when you have them on teh field, wrestlemania could be a field spell. synchs could be tag teams or seomthing

  • A "Symphonic" archetype, although not the tuners from the OCG. It'd be an archetype focusing on the musical aspects of Consonance (haromonious) and Dissonance (unstable). Symphonic monsters focus on being a toolbox deck of sorts, reliant on the many monsters' unique effects, similar to GB. Consonance monsters focus on playing off eachother's abilities for Syncs, field/hand advantage and swarm, but aren't going to be giant beatsticks or have effects focused on removal.

  • @TwilightMasterCK1 Dissonance monsters focus on disruption and removal in general, in exchange for rarely being a + like Consonance monsters. But to balance the variety, each archetype's half's best cards won't work together, i.e. the best continuous S/T or monsters can't be faceup at once, to. Basically, Symphonics have a ton of variety. It can focus on destruction, synchros, swarm, or even anti-meta. It all depends on what cards part of the Archetype you use, and non-archetype cards you add.

  • A Drill Deck.

    Basically, the monsters can only activate when they have the field spell on the field. when a drill card is summoned, a counter goes to the feild spell. the effect of the drill cards increase/change as the number of counters increase to the field spell. You can also discard 1 card from your hand and 1 counter to negate your oponets effect (which can happen once per turn.)

  • Zombie archtype called Gravecrawlers

    Their effects trigger when one is special summoned from the grave and are all mandatory so they don't miss timing. They have their own Treeborn frog or so to speak but it only works by pay 500 life points

  • Actually reminds me of something me and a friend were doing. We were gonna make our own archetype cards and proxy duel with them. Mine was based on the unthinkable:

    Giving your opponent's your cards on the field.

    Sounds crazy, but it included things to give you other kinds of advantages, or your opponent's disadvantages. (temporarily give them your monster to draw a card, burn them, prevent them from special summoning, etc)

    I called them Wasteland cards because they get exiled away. :)

  • They would have effects that burn depending on the number of spells or traps you have used. some will burn depending on the condtion of the field or your lifepoints. But this would bring the love of fire back to the game in my opinion.. plus it would show up the flamevell archtype which dissapointed me and neo flamevell did not help either... this is just my opinion.

  • this is exactly the kind of video i was awiting the chance to see the originalty again... look at all these original ideas this is what makes yugioh fun for this old schooler... i would run my first love pyro monsters.. only unlike koonami my archtrype (THE PYRO CLAN) would relly be all about burn!!!.

    no becuz the effects of Fabled rely on discarding.

    however Dark Angels rely on Special Summoning in different ways. And beating down the opponent

  • I came up with my own archetype years ago. But then Scraps came out and it's basically exactly the same, benefit from destroying your own cards.

  • Daredevil Archetype they would be earth wingbeast and in a way similar to infernity there effects would work around not having cards in your spell and trap card zone(cuz their daredevils) and instead give them a field spell that allows them to destroy the "daredevil" monster(s) to activate effects such as destroying a spell,trap,or monster then at the end phase some of them are returned to the field i'd also give them synchros in the form of stunt apparatuses that can b in the backfield

  • I think a ceck of obtical olusions would be cool, and like hypnotizing effects or something idk xD

    i think a NINJA deck would be cool, the idea would be mostly low ATK monsters with crazy effects like TKR and SD but with LP payment. It would have a boss monster like JD that if your LP are below 4000 you can summon it from GY or hand. the idea oh the deck would be like LS but instead of milling the effects go off by LP payment.

  • Field summoner monsters! Monsters that when they are summoned, you can play a certain field spell card that relates to the monster immediately. It would help many archetypes. :3

  • The Legendary Odor Blocker: Old Spice (Ritual Spell)

    This card can be used to Ritual Summon "Isaiah Mustafa", or "Terry Crews". You must also Tribute monsters from the field or your hand whose manliness or sexiness Levels equal or come close the manliness or sexiness of the Ritual Monster you are attempting to Ritual Summon. The effects of monsters, spells, and traps cannot be activated in response to this card.

  • Isaiah Mustafa Lv.7 Monster/ Effect/ Ritual:

    This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by the effect of “The Legendary Odor Blocker: Old Spice”. While this card is face up on the field, all female monsters are seduced into defense position and their effects cannot be activated. If Terry Crews and Isaiah Mustafa are face up on your side of the field, you win the duel.

  • OLD SPICE MEN Archetype

    Terry Crews Lv.8 Monster/Effect/ Ritual:

    This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by the effect of “The Legendary Odor Blocker: Old Spice”. While this card is face up on the field, all male monsters cower in fear, get switched into defense position and their effects cannot be activated. If Terry Crews and Isaiah Mustafa are face up on your side of the field, you win the duel.

  • Medieval monsters. Warriors obviously. High attack monsters that replace themselves with lesser monsters from the deck which special summon back the bigger monsters from the deck. Basically a deck full of floaters.

  • Ma'at Spirit's. Ma'at is the Egyptian deity of order, so cards based off of the Egyptian gods. So like, Ma'at spirit-Set, Ma'at spirit Horus, Isis, Osiris, you know, stufff like that. The effects aren't made yet, but give me some time.

  • Id make a naruto deck ... Its based around having the field card zone w/ 10 chakra counters then the monsters' effs activate by removing chakra counters on the field ... they're all Earth Warrior Type ... xD

  • the Gunner, they focus on Burn damage by discarding spell cards, but if you discard "ammo" spell card the burn damage is increased.

    pro massive Burn damage (500 for the monster effect and between 500 -800 for the spell cards effect)

    con- no hand advantage

  • Mushroom Kingdom Archetype - Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Koopa Troopers, Goombas etc. with appropriate effects and support cards like 1-up mushroom, power star etc.

  • i would make the Metallic Knights. All are rock type monsters. they would look like knights, but they would be wearing armor made of the metal that they are named after.

    For example: Metallic Knight - Gold would have armor made of gold, etc. etc. each would also carry a shield with their chemical symbol on it. Like Au for gold. and they would have support cards that are related to chemistry and chemical reactions.

    i think that would be pretty cool.

  • Shark archetype (ignoring the new ones) but basically they special summon themselves from deck or hand when ur opponent special summons. The 4 star ones would have 1600 atk points and with the field spell in play it gives all "Shark" monsters on the field a power bonus of 800atk and 500def. This was inspired by Mako from yugioh (series 1).
