  • I like the REEBOK factory in the background @ 2:02. cool..j/k.

  • Nice layout. I am planning on starting an ho layout to enjoy with my grandchildren, ( recently retired ) and looking to keep busy. I thought that I would start with a 4 x 8. I like your setup. nice work!

  • really nice locos!

  • viewed by: me?

  • Nice! i'm starting my 4x8 layout soon.

  • Really nice job!

I must say, the "Hats" in scene 2 are a little disturbing. I thought for a second the Martians were landing!!

  • NICE LAYOUT

  • Nice weathering on the cars. Bigger layouts are nice but at least you have somewhere nice to run trains. I enjoyed the video!

  • Very nice video. Realistic trains.

  • Dude!! your trains are cool. But you GOTTA get a bigger layout!!!

  • awesomness

  • I like your Wild Mary Gp38 by the way. I use to have an 0-6-0 when i was little but i wrecked it. Now I'm going all MOPAC. Like the layout also

  • good job on the cars

  • Great job! I'm also working on a 4' X 8' HO layout. Thanks for posting.

  • Great Job! Very Realistic

  • Great job of acieving realism!

  • i have a single model railroad, it has the loco, and a few cars. i bought some cars off ebay and now i have 15 cars. i also have table to be set up so i have somewhere to start my shit. can someone give me a site that will give me FULL advice on how to make a great layout in a small space? the table is about 1.2m wide and about 2m long.

  • you can get the help you need through books and magazines. they help out allot. Check model railroader magazine they should have what you need to get started. by the way what scale is it?

  • Thats really good weathing on your freight cars

  • only 1 problem, the chessie engines should say WM, not B&O or C&O. since you have a WM layout.

  • No problem, as I run whatever I feel like. To add to that, I do have WM sublettered units in the fleet. Only a small section of my roster was shot. My layout wasn't WM...it was B&O that I liked to run lots of WM on! Even if it was a WM "route", I'd still have to run lots of B&O and C&O units. Remember, regaurdless of who the previous owner was, they were one railroad by the time I model.

  • nice hi hat.

  • I just want to let you know that you did a remarkable job at weathering all of your rolling stock. Good job. I am hoping that models turn out just as good since I am new at building & weathering a layout.

  • Nicely done!

  • Awesome layout! Beautiful weathering!

WOW! You've had the SAME layout all your life? I wish I could say that! I'm on number 6.

    5 stars!

  • GReat weathering and realistic scenery. Some shots look like the real thing! Check out my HO layout. Walt407

  • n scale is more realistic than ho? hmmm.....Nice layout! Not too busy, excellent weathering, great looking construction and scenery.

  • ho is more relistic than n scale but it doesn't really matter they both look good.

  • i prefer HO because it is much easier to handle and work with, and much easier to put back on the tracks after you take it off

  • Awesome weathering! chessie rocked! I love this you have grass, power lines, and signals just so great!

  • HO is for kids. N-scale is the most realistic looking.

  • Very nice weathering work! Some of those cars look unbelievable.

  • Very nice weathering! Good looking layout!

  • nice work. I like your weathering.

  • one again very nice.

  • i have a c-27 bn model engin

  • You put alot of detail in a 4x8 layout.

  • Still wish another company would make a C-27a model

  • Which power system do you use? DCC or Cab Control?

  • DCC Most likely or the loco at 2:04 was unpowered

  • Straight DC, and everything is powered.-Jeffrey

  • you should see all the brass chessie cabooses on ebay this guy has.

  • Your train video is nice. Any chance you could shoot some which shows most of the layout. I would really like to see all that you have done.

From I can see in the video, you have done a remarkable job.

  • how much did this cost? plz reply i wanna know soo bad!

  • wow 20 cars on 1 train... (excluding engines and caboose) dontcha think thats too long for 4x8?

  • well actually you can make a pretty good model of the C-27 chessie caboose with the walthers car just as long as your willing to do a little extra work with it.

  • well thats true, okay then.

  • you should think about getting some walthers chessie bay window cabooses i bought the single car and i will tell you this, those things are awsome

  • But they're no match for any class of B&O caboose. That's why I got the Overland brass ones, they're exactly C27-A class cabeese. The Walthers is based on a MILW I think.-Jeffrey

  • Great job, keep up the good work! :)

  • was the caboose weathered

  • Love the weathering! I did feel the trains were a little too long for a 4x8, as in some places you could see the front of the train a few feet behind the caboose. Still very enjoyable to watch, though. I liked all the different paint schemes represented, it was quite prototypical to see them altogether back in the 80's... Thanks for posting it.

  • boring

  • in the very firat clip, you are aware that the chessie loco is backwards right?

  • Are you aware the B&O had their GP9s, SD7s, and SD9s set up to run longhood forward?-Jeffrey

  • yeah they were delivered like that to improve the chances of the crew in the cab surviving a grade crossing collision & probably would be more familiar to those engineers making the transition from staem to diesel easier

  • approximately how much did this cost

  • ya really?

  • Not bad for an HO Layout. Nice quite operation. With HO it's amazing what you can do in a small space.

  • Nice layout! I've always been a big fan of the Chessie locomotives. I'm currently working on a 4x8 layout myself. Mine is going to be mostly CSX heritage like L&N, Family Lines, Seaboard System, and Chessie System.

  • Awesome video thanks for

  • luvd it. sp.from 2 05 - 2 43

  • Absol. beautiful work !

  • How can I get a copy of this video. I have a FTP site you can uplaod it to.

  • ive watched all your train videos and this is my favorite very nice

  • bra jobba as:)

  • iMAGINATION IS A BEAUTIFUL THING ..GOOD WORK

  • speed it up

  • GREAT weathering job. Beautifully done for a small layout.

  • Wow, that layout takes me back to the 80's. Sure do miss the Chessie, and I love your weathering, just the way I remember it in the end, getting so dirty. Beautiful job. Thanks for the flashback.

  • NICE!!!! Weathering!

  • hey man great layout wish i had it like that .

Im 13 only godt around 2trains and around 170 tracks.

  • Wright Track Models makes resin kits, and they've teamed up with the Chessie Historical Society to make a resin C26 or C27 kit...don't remember which one. Nothing on the Wright Track Models website, but it is well in the pipeline.-Jeffrey

  • how muc did this cost and is it in a garage?

  • btw.. there was a release of these cars from 10+ years ago. When the newer editions came out, alot of guys dumped the older run ones on eBay. I also heard one of the new releases made it on eBay, but I never saw it myself. Luckily, cabooses are some of the best sellers in brass, much more so than locomotives. Within the next 10 years, we'll see either another run, or maybe a C26.

  • Some of the C&O units that didn't sell were sen't back to Overland for new sublettering and numbers.. the B&Os were more popular (this was within a year or so of the initial release) CSX painted versions of the C27A exist, they didn't move too fast.

The latest Walthers model is a nice stand in for Chessie bay window cabeese. The offer 3 numbers, one single then one double pack.

    Hope this fills you in,-Jeffrey

  • where did you get the chessie bay window caboose in this video im trying to find one of them

  • I have two bay window cabooses (I'm talking accurate ones) which are Overland brass C27A models from a few years ago. I opened up a bank account to buy those (I was 15) and worked my butt off. A great lesson in saving money. They were done in very limited numbers, the Chessie-B&O versions went instantly.

  • It looks so real!

  • yep well done weathering

  • thats heavy weathering and it would be cool if there were trainsounds (lionel version) but it nice

  • Great layout!!! What's the deal with the Hi-Hat in the background? LOL

  • How do you achieve the weathering effect?

  • nice layout,great weathering

  • good job on the weathering.

  • great train set man i love trains, hope to get a nice set like that too

  • Hey man. Your work is really good. Too me , you need more room. I think with more room, you could make it look AWSOME !

    Well done.

  • The layout was torn down in early November. I started it at the age of 12, so I've spent 6 years slowly messing with it. Now that I know how to do things right, the new layout (now 12' by 6') with be better, and be built with Kato Unitrack. Thanks,-Jeffrey

  • And something I just thought about... I filmed this the night I got the camcorder for my graduation...I was trying the little thing out. This was shot at like 2 am... lol.-Jeffrey

  • great details!

  • Very nicely detailed, for a relatively small layout. Particularly liked the low-angle camera shot looking up at the curve! :)

  • What a great layout! Thanks for sharing!

  • Very nice weathering.

  • "A 6 minute movie showing some of my HO s..."

The video description just cuts off like that. Its not my fault. lol

  • Excellent! nice weathering, well done!

  • That is a nice layout.

  • Great Layout, but you should change the train a little so it's not the same every time.

  • street interview gone wild
