I just purchased CC3 last week and received it today. I've heard that it has a very steep learning curve, and while that seems to be true, I can't say enough about how much these tutorials have helped me as I've started to learn. It actually made learning some of the basics fun and, dare I say, easy.
What a bunch of illiterate complaining pussies. If you're too cheap to buy it just shut up. The real cheap dorks will try to pirate it. Everyone wants something for nothing, except when it's their something they want to sell. Grow up.
@MorgusPK How constructive. Unfortunately for Profantasy, the only price their stuff is available at less than RRP is nothing. PF's prices make it very much a case of 'steal our stuff, or we steal yours.' People will get so self-righteous about buying stuff until they cannot afford it.
@Tranxhead So by that logic, if you cannot afford it, steal it. Frankly, I've been out of work for three years, but I still managed to pay for it since I needed it. Attitudes like yours is what keeps theft and piracy an ongoing menace to creativity. People deserve to be paid for their productivity. Do you work for nothing?
@MorgusPK I think it's the attitudes of people who actually advocate stealing for the hell of it that are the real scourge - my relaxed opinion has the same effect your strong anti-piracy stance does (nothing). What I was saying was PF do not fairly price their stuff, meaning it is either them or yourself that gets stolen from when you acquire their software. You could afford it since you have some benefactor, but PF loses nothing to people who actually can't that decide to pirate it.
Wow! Joe.... Thanks man! You should be getting a commision from P.F. Your tutorials have convinced me to purchase their software! You've done more than enough already but I do hope to see more new stuff from you and I will be checking out your site to see what other cool stuff you are involved with!
Excuse me, sir, but I have a question. First off, I'd like to thank you for making this video and bringing this program to my attention. I am currently in the process of trying to create my own fantasy world for my Dungeons and Dragons games, and for use with my fantasy novels (which I have not yet written). I find myself having difficulties with mapping out the entire world, however, in a fairly quick fashion. Could you by any chance offer me some assistance or advice?
is he using a different symbls package from the one they give you when you download it? i wach the other videos and alot of the vegetation and mountains look differnt from mine. my trees are just bushes (no trunks) and my mountains look like they were made in paint
i am not holding back, i just won't buy software unless i can try it first.
It may or maynot be what i need, and to get my money back i have to go thougth contacting them ,to much work.
Its the same reason i got xbox live so i can try the demos and if i like it then i buy it. There have been items before i liked and i bought them and hated it.
Demo's get sales its simple marketing, there are other programs just as easy which have demos and trails.

Why do I only have ugly non metric drawings from paint instead of the castles and ruins you have in the little left bar?
MagnusRulerHardt 1 year ago
man, why not name your video parts by numbers instead of alphabet.. would make life easier for many I think :/
RamboBlades 1 year ago
@RamboBlades Although using numbers would be a tad easier, it's no big deal. If it is, you have a bigger problem
ShastaHawk 1 year ago
@ShastaHawk Yes, my problem is being foreign and not flawlessly knowing English alphabet :p
Nice tutorials anyway.

Search for "TPB campaign cartographer" on Google. Something should probably pop up. Maybe a DEMO or something... :) Great software anyways.

It may be the best, but i'm one of them people who like to try it out before i buy it out lol.
Demos are a great way for people to get into a program, if they make one im sure more people would buy program.
StickManSR 2 years ago
looks good, but i would not spend out money unless there was a demo for download.

This is an awesome video set. I've purchased CC3 and it's quite a daunting app. to learn.
I've managed to sorta stumble my way through it, but it definitely helps to have videos like this available.
So... thanks for posting them!
