Stupid me! I just realized what the 4th miracle was! He wanted to bring his deceased family back to life! Why was it not completely obvious! He created the robot as a replacement but a replacement is never as good as the original! He did not need the 4th miracle because the replacement finally achieved what he had hoped for! The 4th miracle was not heaven (because that could be achieved) but that his robot gained a soul.

It's amazing how such an upbeat song can always make me feel sad everytime I listen to it. It always touches my heart. I cried the first 2 times I watched this. I know Rin's shorting out was sad, but it could actually add symbolic meaning to the story. Before she received her heart, she lived eternally, and she was always a robot, something inhuman. But after receiving it, she gains the unique emotions man has, and thus coming closer to being human. Her death pretty much seals the deal; death is something all humans face, and even though she dies it transitions her from being a full-fledged robot to a human.

Cue timeskip, when Rin suddenly gets her Kokoro, is amazed, sad, happy, etc, sings about it, song reaches the past, creates what would eventually become said Kokoro, gives Len a happy death.

What I find absolutely amazing about Vocaloid songs, especially ones sung by Rin and Len, is how easily it is for them to sing a song, tell a story and convey emotion all at the same time. Each one can be very difficult alone, and yet the amazing people who created these songs invented this idea. Rin isn't just a robot who attains a heart - she's a robot who finally understands the meaning behind being human. Len is a scientist struggling to teach a robot how to be human. It's amazing.

And then Rin version of this she sends a message from the future to the past ( to Len ) and since it's the past he knows now that rin will obtain kono kokoro :D .... len's version is a tearjerker song, but not a sad song, rewatch the video, its clearly a happy ending. The scientist died naturally of old age. and he was able to die happily knowing that his work was not all for nothing, and his robot is able to feel emotion in the future.

Rin's is a bittersweet ending at best, but even hers wasn't a sad ending. She was able to finally get her Kokoro and even though she broke at the end, she was truly happy.

I think all the mixing and Len sounding louder at first was made on purpose. At the beginning Len is the one that sound harder, because Rin is just a robot and doesn’t really sing using any kind of feelings, Len is the only one with a heart at the moment. Then, when the whole communication from the future-Rin gets her Hearth thing occurs, Rin´s voice starts being more noticeable and Len´s voice goes more to the background, because Rin is now using real feelings to sing, and Len is dying.
